The afterglow from our stay at Sanctuary – so aptly named – is still with us two weeks later. Sanctuary was the perfect retreat for four couples (age range 65 to 77) who gather every year to celebrate their friendship. We are the local couple and found the house. The others, responding as we did to the excellent photos, accepted right away and made their travel plans. And, while the photos honor this unique property, being on the property and in the house are better. The house was obviously designed with great care and attention to detail, situated as it is on an amazing piece of land.

Sanctuary truly has it all – from its world-class views of rock-strewn shorelines and open ocean to the sound of said ocean waves reaching from the shore a short distance away. The house is, in a word, stunning to behold from any location, inside and out. Well furnished and appointed, there are numerous comfortable areas for gatherings, again inside and out. The Sunset Swing overlooking the ocean was the perfect outside touch. The house has too-numerous-to-count amenities and a kitchen designed for a group to work well in. One particularly nice amenity is the basket of carefully rolled cozy blankets for use on a cool (okay, chilly) evening. We all wrapped ourselves in coziness and made a nice fire (wood available). We all left thoroughly relaxed, refreshed and most grateful to the property’s owners for welcoming others to enjoy Sanctuary.

The house was perfect! Loved the location.

We stayed at the Stone Lagoon cabin for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The cabin is close to so many parks and recreation areas, the mountains, and the ocean. The cabin itself is quiet, comfortable, and feels very private. It was exactly what we were looking for! We also met the property manager when she came to drop off battery lanterns (in case of P&E power outages - which we did not experience) and she gave us a "must see" list that was totally on point. We highly recommend this spot for a getaway.

The home is very clean, cute, and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and baths! It’s been nearly two weeks and we haven’t received our security deposit which is bothersome, considering we left the home clean, even without power. The neighborhood seemed somewhat “rough”. We awoke to screaming and yelling in the middle of the night, 3 nights, and one night I actually thought of calling the police. The screams were also accompanied by slamming doors and screeching tires. It is described as a “quiet zone”, but it was anything but. We enjoyed the hot tub, but only for 2 of our five nights, due to the power outage. Hoping to be compensated, but we shall see. A table outside would be helpful to use for drinks and towels. We never made it to the vista point “nearby”, as it is not within walking distance like it says.

Our rental was awesome! It was just as pictured. Very nice! You felt secluded but weren't. Minutes from the 101 and restaurants and shopping . I would use them again

We stayed at this accommodation many times when visiting our family. Home away from home. Very comfortable and well stocked.

Our third time there w/family and wonderful as usual but how did you manage sunny clear days the whole time!
FYI - housekeeping clean as usual and upon arrival we noticed screen door pushed out at bottom on side entrance, recessed light out over sofa and florescent light in garage constantly flickering and needs changing. Things housekeeping wouldn't notice.

Always a great experience with this rental team. Excellent communication, quick responses, terrific property management. We have rented with them multiple times and always with positive experiences.

If you’re looking for a solid Trinidad vacation rental with a stocked kitchen and comfy bedrooms with lots of bright, open windows and sunroom, this is your cottage. Walking distance to local shops, eateries, and breathtaking Pacific coastline views, this is a good deal. Very private, let back from road, and quiet neighbors. this is a great place for a family or a coupe to enjoy the ocean, and the surrounding redwood forests, The house is well maintained, and easy to find,and the check in process is very simple,

This was the perfect place to stay to visit Redwood NP! It was very clean, beautifully decorated and all quality - granite counters, tiled shower. It was within about 15 minutes from the park. Also, close to the town of Trinidad. I highly recommend!!
