Pre-purchase / website experience - A great website. Easy to navigate and loved the fact I could ask for specific measurements and wood finish. Timescale of approx. 4-6 weeks for delivery felt reasonable, so we went for it and ordered a dining table that would have significant sentimental value for our family. Week 6 would take us to the 2nd April. The purchase confirmation email said that the item would be delivered in April, so that tracked.

Timescale - as we approached the 6 week mark, I got in touch for an update on delivery. The reply from RCC was "at the point of order, we clearly communicated an estimated delivery timeframe of April, which remains the target we are working towards" - So, with no firm target date for delivery, just the whole of April, for us, this meant the item could be delivered up to week 10. So, something to be aware of, if you need a piece delivered by a particular date - the timeframe of 4-6 is fluid...they do use the word "Approx" though, so that covers it. It is just not clear or helpful as you approach week 6 and there is no update without chasing. At the pre-purchase point, I would have rather been told a timeframe of 4-10 weeks, than 4-6 weeks, so that i could decide if this timeframe worked for me, before purchasing. The item was delivered in week 9.

Customer Service - I found James to be rude - he didn't make the effort to empathise with my frustration around timescale - he was defensive rather than supportive. But everything he said was correct - The confirmation email did say the delivery would be in April, so really, it was my fault for thinking the 4-6 weeks delivery would stand. And yes, I should not have expected a progress update before the 6 week mark to clarify this. I should have just known that my item would be delivered at some point in April.

Delivery - I read all of the delivery instructions as soon as they arrived. The instructions ask that you have an able bodied person there to help lift the item into the house, as the delivery is undertook by one person. This was fine; however to guarantee that I had someone available at the house, they would need to take time off work / use holidays - I therefore asked for 1 weeks notice of delivery, so that i could make arrangements. RCC called on the 20th April, and asked to deliver the item on the 21st April. So, one days notice. Yes, I could have declined this, but we were lucky the person was available to help, and I just wanted the table. I asked for a rough / estimated time of delivery to help us make sure our person was there and ready to support with the delivery. Due to unknown road conditions (fair, they were travelling from Sheffield to Fife in Scotland), RCC Furniture couldn't provide this, but could offer a 1 hour warning call. I made sure my able bodied person was available all day.

Two delivery people arrived in the van with the table. So I didn't actually need to arrange an able bodied person to be at home to help at all. They didn't need to use holidays, so these were wasted.

In terms of accepting the order, I wasn't asked to sign anything to say I had received the table, or that it arrived in good condition. Maybe that's fine. They just asked me to confirm my surname and then they left. The delivery took minutes. Very easy.

Despite some frustrations about communication and customer service, the table is here. It is structurally solid. Every time I look at it, I love it more. The wood is still soft at the moment, but it will dry out and settle with the house. It's rustic, which is what i wanted. If you are after polished and protected, so it doesn't mark easy, then make sure you get advice about what you need to order, before you order it.

Would I order from RCC Furniture again? If the fluidity of the delivery timescale wasn't an important factor for us, and therefore communication not important, and based on the quality of the product we have just received, then yes, I probably would.

Our 2 beautiful benches turned up when they were promised. They looked beautiful and complemented the dining table that they were bought to go with. We have chosen to go for the Scandi look and put sheepskin on them, they look fab.

The delivery went well.
However the dining table itself not that great. The "wow" is definitely not there! It came in with marks on (that happened when the table is wrapped before it is completely dry) as advised by the customerservice who advised to buy Danish oil or will send it to me by post. I said not a chance you have to come and finish off your job. I did not pay 1k for unfinished job of yours. So they are sending a technician beginning of January. I'm quite disappointed after waiting so long with no update at all (3 months!). I'm personally not convinced by this product. So I would not recommand but someone else may be luckier.

Lovely piece of furniture got made from them. Surly recommend soon will be going back to get custom pieces made.

Absolutely over the moon with my dinning table, I have been looking for a table for a while and the high street shops just weren’t offering good quality for the price. The dinning table is beautifully made and made to last.From ordering to delivery(which was very easy delivery man was very helpful) RCC Furniture have made it a pleasure to shop with them which I will definitely do again.

Shocking company. nice furniture in theory but shocking delivery service.
First item we ordered was a dining table. (around 12 months ago)
The delivery driver had his wife helping him carry it in to the house. She dropped the table top, damaging it and getting oil on the carpet. the solution from RCC was to post me some sandpaper to repair it myself.
The second item i ordered was a TV unit with some alterations for bespoke measurements which i paid extra for. The wrong item was delivered, with a manager saying i'd get an email to resolve "in a few days", and i had to live with this wrong piece of furniture stuck in my living room until it was convenient for them to replace it. No urgency, no sense that they knew they'd got it wrong doing everything they could to resolve the issue with minimal disruption for me. He just expected i'd take another day off work to accommodate them. I've ended up accepting a small refund and keeping the wrong item just so i don't have to deal with them anymore. I will never place another order with them again. Terrible experience twice now.

Ordered a high table and chairs as well as a bar. I was kept informed all through the build process.

Had an issue with the bar that was down to my not reading what left hand return meant (my bad) but James was really helpful and made the alteration without fuss and the bar was back a week later.

The furniture is lovely and RCC have been a pleasure to deal with all through the process and delivery guy was great. The furniture does weigh a lot so I would advise to go for the two-man option

I have purchased a reclaimed wood pedestal dining table and I'm absolutely thrilled with it.

Ordering online was super easy, clear communication regarding delivery procedure and lead times. When the table was ready for delivery, again communication was great and they took into account the days I was unavailable to make delivery as easy as possible.

The 2 gents who delivered my table were wonderful, lovely chaps who were so helpful!

Very very pleased with both the table and service. Will certainly be returning for other pieces of furniture!

Beautiful furniture, I ordered a tv unit and I'm super happy with it.
Only grumble I have was receiving it 9 weeks after ordering it, I had to chase several times to ask when it was coming. I appreciate there are delays but its nice to be kept in the loop. Customer service is what makes a company stand out!

I had a very disappointing experience with RCC Furniture.

I visited their showroom and physically pointed out the exact table I wanted. I even sent them a photo of that table when confirming my order. Despite this, I was delivered a completely different table. When I raised the issue, I was repeatedly told it was my responsibility because of an “item code,” even though I had never ordered via their website.

The customer service throughout was rude and dismissive (including being told we’d have to “agree to disagree”), and at no point did they take responsibility for their error. What followed was weeks of back-and-forth, with offers to alter the wrong table rather than simply supply the correct one.

Eventually, after I made a formal complaint to Trading Standards, I finally received a refund — though I am not convinced this would have happened otherwise.

Overall, very poor service, frustrating communication, and a complete lack of accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before ordering from this company.

Lovely 120cm square parquet table - in oak, oil finish. Can custom make virtually anything. Highly recommend RCC 👌🏽

I ordered my table back in May. I was advised of a delivery in July. I had to chase up numerous times and was eventually delivered in August. The customer service here is diabolical. The woman on the phone is sharp and unwelcoming (when they eventually answer it that is).

Whilst the table is lovely, the top was not finished to an acceptable standard and I feel that was because delivery was finally rushed because I actually wondered if I’d been scammed. But I hadn’t thankfully. We finished polishing the top ourselves. It looks perfect now.

It’s such a shame your customer service is so awful, because I would have ordered from you again. You need to sort this out.

RCC was recommended by my daughter as she bought a table from them a few years ago, so I was aware of the quality, and this was the style I was after. Very please with cost, quality and smooth delivery on the day. Would definitely recommend their products

The coffee table has been made badly. There are nails sticking out as you can see in the pictures (see google reviews for pictures) and also wood has broken where they have hammered in nails wrong. It is such a shame because I think their furniture looks lovely on the site. But they clearly don't have proper carpenters because that's not how to put a table together. Sorry but I won't be using them again. I want a bed made, a chest of drawers and a dressing table, but will sadly be going elsewhere.
They have just answered my review saying they don't use nails. I wish I could upload a picture of the nails sticking out of my coffee table. They are such liars !!!

Ordered the Reclaimed Industrial Chic Chest of 6 Drawers Tall Boy Unit Steel Wood Metal 520 which were delivered today, they look fantastic a really well made, want to say thank you to the delivery driver who helped me get them up the stairs which wasn't an easy job!!

Absolutely delighted! Took delivery today of an absolutely massive table, thats beautiful, sturdy and built to last. My husband was out which of course was when the delivery arrived so I had to help the poor man get it off the truck and into position. The gentleman was wonderful and very patient with my feebleness (despite us being asked to have a competent pair of hands ready to go!). Lead up to delivery has been communicative and pleasant, and of course the actual table is great quality. Excellent item, very lovely service, highly recommended!
