Wrong street name listed on Home Indemnity insurance

Received my Home Indemnity Insurance last month for my property, but the address listed had the incorrect street name. Have emailed and called over the past couple of weeks with no reply from QBE. Absolutely appalling for a business. I'm unable to proceed with my build until this is rectified and as such, am unable to get a build permit due to this error.

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong. Their communication was patronizing, ineffective and unhelpful. We were displaced from our home off and on and nearly 8 months because of their ineffectiveness. And the issue wasn't big but they made it bigger. I felt unsupported and accused at every turn. In the end they dropped us! Which is fine as we were going to do the same. I would never recommend having QBE as your insurance provider. Not ever.

Absolute Disgrace

After being on hold for 1.5 hours 3 times, getting a quote then not hearing from them. This company are a joke, I will be doing everything in my power to discourage people from using them at all costs!!!

The customer service is a joke

The customer service is a joke. I had to call them three times during last month, as they do not respond to emails and every time it was a 1.5 - 2 h wait for anyone to pick up the phone. Finally, after I revised and accepted the amount of money they offered, I heard nothing from them and didn't receive money to my account for two weeks. I had to call them again and again I waited 1h 20 min for someone to answer the phone. If you work, you basically need to take some hours off to contact QBE. Horrible service.

If I could leave a zero star review I…

If I could leave a zero star review I would. When I purchased my new home I got insurance through them and my land title company sent them the check for my premium which they cashed. Little did I know that they then decided to cancel my policy for non-payment... even though we have proof the check was cashed. Then they didn't tell notify anyone that my insurance was cancelled? So I went an entire year without having home insurance and didn't know it until I was shocked when I couldn't renew it.... They never sent me my refund, so I called to get it over a year later and they said they issued it and I would have it in the mail in the next 30 days. THAT WAS A BIG BIG FIGHT spanning multiple phone calls and multiple people who never knew what I was experience because they don't take notes on conversations or something. Well, 35 days went by and no check. So I called back again and they had no record that I even called... and I had to fight/explain the refund for the 15th time to somebody. At this point I don't trust an imaginary check to be sent to me in the mail, so I requested an ACH. Which they can't do. So I requested the check be overnighted to me (ya know because I've been waiting for 395+ days to get my money back), but they can't provide me a tracking number so I again don't believe them. Then I asked that they send me something in writing, simply an email, that we had this conversation and that they were overnighting me a check. When they were confirming final details on where to overnight the check... they had the wrong address?!?!? Even though I've given them my address a 10+ times throughout this entire process AND it's the address of the house that was insured through them. It's not that hard. Not to mention, what would I have done if something actually happened to my house last year? HORRIFYING.

I wish I could give 0 stars .

I wish I could give 0 stars .
My tools and van were stolen .
I lost 8/9k worth of tools and they offer me £340 for my tools saying my hand tools are plant.
This company is a complete con .
It’s now been 4 months since this happened and still not had my final payment .
I would have had to close my business of 15yrs if it wasn’t for my family who have helped me get back on my feet .
I have only received 3.5k back which is nothing compared to what I lost .
I thought I was paying business insurance to feel reassured .
This company has been terrible from start to finish and I would never recommend them .
Please don’t use this company .

After 25 years I am ditching QBE,

After 25 years I am ditching QBE,their home renewal insurance policy was increased by 24%! In 25 years I have never made a claim. QBE phone wait times are totally not acceptable and their so called customer service people sound like bogans. I have switched to another insurer, the policy cost is considerable cheaper for the same type of policy, the phone wait times did not exceed 5 minutes and their customer service staff were a pleasure to deal with.

5-years Customer betrayed by QBE Insurance

I was so disappointed with QBE Insurance. My fence was knocked out by the strong winds and all my neighbors and I submitted our claims to them at the same time two months ago. Unfortunately, only my claim wasn't paid, despite having a valid policy with them. It's been a major headache trying to get them to pay out and it has caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. Definitely not happy with their service.

THIEVES !

I called in to cancel my policy September 2022, as of today 2/07/23 check hasn't been received. I called and was told check was cashed. Lie. Thieves.

I put in a claim on the 31st o December and still waiting on it. Very poor response and concern about it's costumers. Will be changing companies.

Absolute Disgrace this Company is

Absolute Disgrace this Company is.

They should be closed down for the way they treat people, and constantly tell lies.

Their client smashed into the back of me over 4 months ago. After accepting liability after 3 months and accepting to pay me out with 3-5 days, here I am still waiting.

Called them to ask what is going on and now they’ve changed their story to say it has still not been authorised.

I hope so legal action is taken against them, and gave them banned here in the U.K.

it will not alloy me to do no star - as i have been waiting for an approved claim now for 9 weeks for payment also there link they have provided is a broken link and hangs up the phone - also will cancel all links with qbe sorry fellers no business from me - i have a better chance of begging from the poor - FOLLOW UP 11/01/2023 another phone call today to follow up my rental "like for like law" so i called today litigations team got transferred to 3rd party management team after 1.5 hours of waiting and was told again nothing we can do for you lol and that i will need to pay for my own rental and if i didnt shut up the employee from qbe said to me he was going to hang up the phone IN MY FACE and make me wait again for another 3 hours to speak to some else lol - what a joke - my phone call today was at 9.49am est - i will be send all my info again to icac this company will help in resolve my issue little easier unless qbe contact me to resolve this matter -- also for who ever has problems with qbe in scare tactics of they will not pay for repairs or only pay a percentage of the rental NO this is your rite and report to qbe
Follow up 25-01-23 still awaiting
Have been reimbursed for first 2 months of rental - not accepting like for like rental for the 3 and forth month even tho I was told on multiple phone calls "recorded" that you pay at the beginning and we will only reimburse at the end of month - 2 days before end of month cut of for Christmas and was told we will give you a lower grade car either except this or nothing
Now at Australia day and still no results - thanks again qbe I have family and friends and the ripple effect you have cause is very unpleasant to all effect on my side - keeping in mind the claim is approved for your insurand hitting my parked car

DO NOT GET A POLICY HERE

I used residentshield for renter's insurance which is under QBE - do NOT get a policy with them. I was on hold for almost an hour and then when I finally get to someone, the person was very rude, cut me off mid-sentence constantly, tried to think/tell me he knows more about my apartment lease than I do, and then hung up on me.

I have been trying to file a claim for over a month and every time I have called I get placed on hold with no one to answer. I work Monday through Friday and cannot wait on hold all day long.

Horrible service

This company refused to renew our policy after we had to use our insurance for a water leak. We had one other claim that we didn't follow through with because it was a small problem that we didn't realize would be an easy fix. Dealing with this company for the last three months has been such a headache and I'm actually glad I need to find a different company. If you bundle through progress don't pick QBE.

Horrible / Insensitive

I had a life experience in 6 months I will never forget and hope never happens again. I had Qbe since 2008. NEVER filed a claim until Jan 2022. First they never answer the phone. Finally I was assigned a claim adjuster that was so rude, I don't know how she is still working there. I thought the calls were recorded for quality insurance, guess not. If so she would be FIRED. She asked me insulting questions. "So are u homeless, are u sleeping on the floor, is your refrigerator empty, do u work? How long? How long have u been employed, do u receive a pay check, how often, how much is ur paycheck, Does your mom work, how much is her social security, how are you eating are you eating canned foods,. do you rely on other people to take care of you. That's just a few it went on and on and on. After she found out I owned another property in conversation, in a totally different state that's when she started denying me my rights to my policy I pay for a policy and I should be able to claim on certain parts of the policy like loss of use she would not let me claim on any loss of use no place to stay while they're working on the home anything of that nature. After that she never answered the phone. I would have to call the sup which she never returned calls either. I had to end up speaking with any claim rep that I can get a hold to. They are unprofessional I would not recommend this company to anyone . Hopefully the company will contact me and I will let you know my experience because there's more

This is a fraudulent insurance company

This is a fraudulent insurance company. They breached their contractual obligation to pay claims in an ethical manner. Please do yourself a favor and purchase your insurance elsewhere for your peace of mind. Plan to file a suit against them.
