No proper advance warning of pension enrolment
Its is law that an employer informs an employee that they are to be enrolled into a works pension, & how to opt out. Pure Staff didn't do this for me. The first I knew I was enrolled was an email from NOW Pensions, saying I was 'in'. It is law that you get enrolled, but its also law that you can opt out. However, opting out is made very complex. The NOW website doesn't recognise 'opt out' if you type that into FAQ! In fact you have to select 'Stop Paying'. You get 30 days to opt out, & if you don't get it sorted, you're in till retirement. That's why Pure Staff needed to tell me. I did raise this with payroll. All I got was twaddle, what bunch of AHs. I've now taken them to the Pensions Ombudsman.
