Alison the nutritionist was absolutely brilliant when I asked for advice on a repeated urine infection for my Rudi. Emails and telephone calls and lots of different supplements to help him! Alison took the time to listen and gave me so much help! With her help after repeated antibiotics from the vets failed the D-mannos she suggested worked! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pro Dogs!

we lost our 13 year old boxer 1 month ago leaving our 7 year old boxer one very sad dog bye chance i found pro dogs direct on line and there was this brindle mail 7 year old boxer looking for a home i sent my application off not knowing if when they read it they would consider us at all we are both 78years old and have had 9 boxers Pro dogs direct have been wonderful and helpful .the foster lady could not have been nicer .we picked our new 7 year old boxer up on Sunday and are now again a very happy boxer family again thank you so much pro dogs direct

Fabulous organisation. We have recently adopted from them. Their process was correctly thorough and fair. Their focus is fully on finding the right home for their dog/s who have been through a difficukt start, so findinf them the right home is their priority and quitely rightly so. The team were professional throughout. The foster mum was engaging and very helpful with whom we have kept in touch with and send photos and videos of how our little chap has settled into his new home. I honestly can't fault them. We now have a new addition to our family who is a happy little doggie. Thank you

Our Rottweiller passed away in June 2023 having adopted her aged two we had 10 wonderful years with her. By coincidence within a week my wife found another Rottie called Zuma at Prodogs who needed urgent fostering. Within a week we had been inspected and arranged a visit. What a fantastic dog. We gave her a lovely eight months in our home in which time she settled in a domestic environment and has now been adopted by a loving couple in her forever home. We still love you. We adopted Jenna, an 18 month old Cockapoo from Pro Dogs and the procedure was very strict and lengthy, but what they do is to ensure the right dog goes to the right home and hopefully will never have to be re homed again.
Charities like Pro Dogs are a lifeline to dogs in need of a forever home.
I would for sure recommend Pro Dogs for people looking to re home a dog.

I have 2 lovely dogs from Pro Dogs Direct. The staff are amazing rescuing them from Puppy Farms etc.they work very hard, and the foster people are also incredable having these dogs in their own homes to establish the dogs nature so they can be suitably matched with the right forever home. I would highly recommend Pro Dogs.

We adopted two dogs from Pro Dogs Direct and it was the best thing we have ever done. Not only have they made our lves complete we have given them loving homes. Pro dogs were very thorough and it was quite along procedure but well worth it. Would not hesitate in doing it all over again.

We adopted Buster (previously Chunk) from Pro Dogs in 2019, it was the best thing we've ever done and feel so blessed that we were lucky enough to be chosen to be Busters forever family. The love we all have for this little high maintenance frenchie is un-measurable.
All who work/volunteer at prodogs are amazing and selfless, they always have the dogs best interests at heart and they will always come first.
Our experience with prodogs was that all were very professional and caring individuals.

I have rescued dogs and Prodogs have ensured the dogs go to amazing fosters, have the dogs checked and treated by vets if necessary and go onto find them loving homes. I feel privileged to assist an incredible, caring rescue.

Many years ago we got a beautiful working cocker puppy from pro dogs. She was handed to the rescue at 16 weeks old along with the rest of her litter. Pro dogs were looking to home these pups with families experienced with the breed. We already had a working cocker. After filling in the forms and having a home check we were able to go and pick her up. I'll never forget our beautiful Dixie. She was a joyful little soul. I'll be forever thankful to pro dogs for allowing us the privilege of having Dixie in our lives.

We adopted a 2 year old cross breed via Pro Dog Direct shortly before Covid lockdown. I fell in love with him from a picture on Facebook. They followed a formal process, which is to be expected and most reassuring. What a fantastic job this charity does in finding new homes for pets in need! Our dog is now almost 6 and without Pro Dogs I doubt very much that he would be alive today. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all their hard work!

I adopted a pug from PDD during the first Covid lockdown and in spite of all the difficulties that that entailed the whole process was carried out professionally and efficiently and I was able to collect him on the first day that we were allowed to travel. Achieving that was no mean feat!
I had lots of support from PDD and his foster mum kept in touch and was very keen to hear how he was getting on. He was an older boy and sadly died last year but when I feel recovered my first port of call will be PDD.

I have two PDD rescues, Pebbles prior to Covid and Gavroche during, I found the adoption process thorough, as it should be, but was delighted our experience of flat faced breeds made us appropriate parents for these two lovely dogs - it was great to know there was support available to us if we needed it, we wouldn’t hesitate in adopting thru PDD again in the future.

The only bad review on here is because someone did not get an instant reply to their application.
Seeing that the charity gets hundreds of applications for any on dog its seems quite reasonable to not hear back immediately or at all.
Like a job application - do you also hear when you have not been given an interview? No.
So, this person who didn't hear back - probably best.

I write as a former foster carer for this charity who welcomed hundreds of waifs and strays through the door over a period of ten years. What attracted me to Pro Dogs in the first place was their determination to use fosterers rather than kennels; so many of the dogs had come from horrifically traumatic circumstances and placing them in warm, comfortable homes with loving families gave them an important jump start to settling into their new lives. The care and attention given to matching a dog to the right family where it they could begin to heal and flourish was second to none. At every moment and for every decision, it was the dog that mattered and Donna and the team never wavered from this philosophy in all the time I volunteered there. This is why Pro Dogs has an extraordinary success rate with very few dogs being returned. I strongly believe there is a home out there for every dog and I would encourage anyone looking to rehome one to trust the Pro Dogs Direct process because in my experience no other rescue does it better.

Brilliant dog rescue, would highly recommend. Caring people who helped me to adopt a big cuddly much loved crossbreed.

When we were able to adopt our dog, which took time as Pro Dogs Direct vetted us very carefully and made sure we would be able to look after a rescue, we had a tricky start. Our dog Jet only has half her right ear, scarring all over her face and we were told by PDD, that she had been found on the streets still lactating, but no sign of her litter. They also thought she might have been used as bait. Consequently Jet was very nervous and we initially struggled, but Donna was brilliant - she spent an hour with us on the phone talking through the issues. 2.5 years later Jet is a different dog, she still has the occasional issue, but no-one would recognise her as the dog who came to our house frightened and reactive. What a brilliant organisation PDD is and so sad so see someone leaving a negative review for a charity that works so hard to place the right dog with the right family.
