Need help tracing a car registration number that did a hit and run in a shop car park.

I had the number plate from the shop's CCTV clearly showing the car reversing into my vehicle, causing over £2000 of damage.

They traced the registration number, and I pursued the person, and my insurance company sorted the claim so I didn't have any negative effect on my no claims.

I used the services of PI recently. Firstly, I was extremely happy that they could assist so quickly and secondly, that they were able to obtain all the information I required. They are absolutely lovely on the telephone, from Marie at the start, then Laura to the finish. The PI provided updates along the way, via a WhatsApp group they set up. This was a first for me, a family matter. I also made my first call at 6pm for surveillance from 8.00 am the following day. It happened! I actually called them from Canada to help my sister. They helped to prove everything we needed to help her get child maintenance, that her ex was working under the table. They responded fast, were extremely professional, and the technology they used was great. It wasn’t cheap but saved us quadruple what we spent in court fees, not to mention time. I would highly recommend them again.

Made contact again for a refund and asking for their complaints procedure. Their terms and conditions are commital from the instance you make payment. They say you can cancel but you are committed from the time of signing their contract as they start the investigation as soon as you put the phone down on them! This means that you lose your cancellation rights straight away. In reality, this company commits you to paying with no refund available and their ability to deliver results is very poor.
Even though I challenged and asked for a response to the results I had found openly from Land Registry, no acknowledgement of this in their response to my complaint!
They just keep sending me back to their terms and conditions.

Very rude people answering the phones. Called up to ask if they could help identify some people for us to do with a death of a family member. They said they cant. We asked why, in a nice way, just want to know why as we will be asking others, and no explanations given why they wont help just a very rude reply from two different people. One just hung up on us, the other was very sarcastic when we told them they should not speak to customers in that way. Very rude and unprofessional. Would not even give us their own name due to "data protection". Strange manner of dealing with customers if its a legit company.

I contacted this company to serve papers. Having never dealt with this situation before, I was guided through the process in such a lovely way by Laura, which put me at ease. It was quick and easy and the communication was second to none. I’m very pleased I chose this company. The process server Matt also did his job remarkably well, he was calm, confident and the ideal person to de-escalate a situation and get it done.

This company operates as PD Consultants and as Privateinvestigator - they told me this on email and the names of the individual's dealing with cases are common between them and on the reviews shown here. I am puzzled by the 31 5 star reviews shown here as my experience was 1 star.

I wanted an investigation into a landlord who was very difficult to trace. I provided all relevant information on the person from companies house. They told me the research would provide

A Full home address search: any co-
ownerships, any buy-to-lets, properties linked to the individual in anyway. If there is a mortgage on the property. This will give you information and assets. Any information of any cohabitation with any 3rd party at the property and if they have cohabitated with any individual.

I paid £1,400 up front, and what I got two weeks later was a credit report showing any individual with a credit history who had used any of the addresses registered to the landlord....
The report missed the specific residence in which I was interested and had few of the details promised above.

When I questioned the quality of the report i was told on email

THIS IS A POOR RESPONSE. THE MAIN RESIDENCE IN WHICH I WAS INTERESTED HAD A MORTGAGE IN THE TARGET'S NAME, AND HE HAD FILED A NUMBER OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS TO THE COUNCIL FOR THIS PROPERTY

I thus feel misled. What was offered was not delivered. Using a pin secured webSite to access emails felt almost like setting stage, trying to make the work they did seem secretive, requiring 'confidential' transmission.

I feel misled, and that i paid a lot of money for a credit check. I would not recommend either company based on my experience
