Thank you for your review. We’re pleased your order arrived quickly, although we’re sorry that one of the rails arrived damaged. We’re glad you were able to straighten it on site, but appreciate this isn’t ideal.

Regarding the use of “Set” in the product title, this is the product name supplied to us by the manufacturer rather than wording created by Powerland. In this particular case, “Set” refers to a pair of base rails, which is clearly specified in the product description.

Additional components are required to complete a full solar panel mounting system, depending on the panels and installation configuration, and these are listed separately.

We appreciate your feedback and will always look for ways to make our product descriptions as clear as possible, but in this instance we believe the listing does clearly state what is included in the set.

Hi,

We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your experience. There are, however, several points in this review that we feel need clarification.

Firstly, the original carriage charge was unfortunately quoted incorrectly by our system. The delivery was to the Isle of Lewis and involved oversized pallets, which unfortunately carries a significantly higher shipping cost from our location. We notified you as soon as we identified the error and explained the additional carriage cost. At no point were you forced to pay the additional amount — you were given the option to proceed, and you confirmed you were happy to do so and paid the additional carriage before the order was dispatched.

Regarding the damaged panel, we were notified 10 days after delivery. The damage appeared consistent with a local impact, such as a hammer or other tool being dropped onto the panel, rather than the type of damage we would normally expect to see from pallet transportation. Based on the timing and nature of the damage, we unfortunately did not believe this was transport damage for which we could accept responsibility.

There was also one missing item from the order, which we subsequently established had unfortunately been lost by DHL. We apologise for this and did issue a refund for the missing part.

We also want to address the suggestion that we said we would refund the damaged panel if you removed your negative reviews. This is simply not true. We did discuss the possibility of looking at a goodwill gesture if you were willing to amend your review following our efforts to resolve the situation. This was not presented as a condition for a refund or as an attempt to prevent you from leaving honest feedback.

We appreciate that you were unhappy with that conversation, but we do feel it is important that the circumstances are represented accurately. We have also received additional one-star reviews relating to the same order, including a review from Rita Gibson, which appears to relate to the same circumstances.

We’re genuinely sorry that your experience has left you dissatisfied. We have acknowledged where things went wrong, including the missing item and the original shipping quotation, and have taken steps to address those issues. However, we also feel it is important to provide the full context behind the points raised in this review.
