I discovered Dan's work several years ago after trying many other strategies. It was like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. The wonderful thing is how simple and effective it can be. The evolution in development doesn't stop. As a business owner planning to retire in a few years, Portfolio Boss is my partner on this new path.

Believe it or not, I have followed Dan Murphy since 2009. I've never met him but I found him through a random ad saying he would turn $10,000 into $1,000,000. At that time he was programming strategies on Tradestation and talking about the benefits of machine generated executions. It was just a few years later, after he turned $10,000 into $1,000,000, that he created Portfoliosboss. I have watched him transform Portfolio Boss into what it is today.
It is a powerful trading computer that virtually has no limits.
I was trading with portfolio boss in 2016. At that time strategy returns were; Average CAGR between 7% and 16% and Max Drawdown between 20% and 40%. That was for each individual strategy.
Now in 2024, Dan has gotten PortfolioBoss to produce phenomenal returns. After creating strategies for different symbols, the strategies are then combined to produce a single strategy that has all the downside protection you need to consistently trust it and watch your account grow. Low Max Drawdown, and MASSIVE Average CAGR.
I personally trade a strategy that combines 7 symbols and that strategy has an average CAGR of 41.8% and a Max Drawdown of 18.4%. (Seriously) Every year since 2007 has been positive and it beats the market many times over. I use it every day.

I have used/followed Portfolio Boss for over 10 years. They have introduced a number of strategies over the years that consistently beat the "market" (the S&P 500) using a minimum of trading effort. Dan Murphy's latest strategies, well in excess of 100 and enabled by AI programs, allow you to bundle different ones together at different times for outsized gains.

Portfolio Boss trading software makes it very easy to trade several strategies together, which helps with smoothing out my equity curve, and particularly reducing max drawdowns. One of the game-changers is that the software will use AI to select which strategies to trade for the month, out of many possible ones. Like an individual stock, strategies can go through periods of underperforming, so having the programme select the best ones, saves me a lot of effort in trying to decide which ones to trade.
Customer service has been good - responding promptly to any problems I have had (fortunately only minor ones so far).
If you don't have or want to spend the time needed to develop really new strategies (as in my case), Portfolio Boss is well worth trying.

I've been following Dan for over a decade, even before the early beginnings of the Portfolio Boss program (Atlas order/crash canary / DB). At the time, I found it intriguing that a program can screen numerous stock tickers in a given portfolio and pick which tickers to purchase and where an edge is present. The best examples involved the broad market... cut and dry when to stay in cash/bonds, or long position. The evolution of this program with AI and the ability to factor ETFs with fine-tuned parameters in strategies was a great progression forward. The bonus of new add-ons and continual updates let me know he didn't forget about the people who were with him from the beginning. Portfolio Boss is an excellent piece of software when you'd like to invest but life happens in the process!
