The exam is too stressful but the knowledge worth it. I have continue learning the 8th edition though stressful but I love it at the end.

I had a great experience with the Project Management Institute while going through the PMP process. The application was intuitive and easy to follow, and PMP Study Hall was a great resource for preparing for the exam. The practice questions helped me get into the right mindset and understand how PMI expects project managers to think through real situations. Overall, the process was smooth, professional, and worth the effort.

Taking the PMP exam was not a difficult process. What did make it difficult was the preparation (learning, practicing, and revision). PMIs Study Hall is not close enough to the real exam in my opinion and did cause some issues in my run up to the exam, which increased my anxiety a little. However, with the exam changing in a week or two that issue may not be applicable for future candidates.
Overall, the application process was straightforward. The pre-exam tutorial was not as straightforward as there were no clear instructions (that I remember) for the drag and drop question execution. It took me a while to work out how to answer those!!!

Successfully obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, demonstrating strong knowledge of project management principles, processes, and best practices aligned with industry standards.

I think this whole program is a bit over developed. Project Management is something that is learned over time and there is no course that can truly put you in that seat. You have made up your own jargon and added it to a framework that is based upon "tailoring" and "iteration" which really is not a framework at that point.

I feel the concepts and tools should be taught and the student should be tested on those concepts and use of the tools. Many of the concepts and tools in PMI are extremely helpful and provide great definition of project success and value in a numeric fashion.

I will say the whole idea of testing students over situational circumstances is flawed. I did not see a single question in the exam that provided enough information for a PM to make a solid decision. There is so much to consider (experience of customer and team, relationships, body language, tone of voice, etc., etc.) for each and every decision.

Lastly, there are some very good guides in the program but, it is seemingly based in the software/hardware development realm and while I can see some of the elements of the PMBOK being used on every project I do not see the whole structure being deployed on any project. It would be too much to manage without a large team and no customer would pay for the amount of time required to put together all of the recommended planning documents alone.

I had a very positive experience throughout the PMP certification process. The exam was well organized, and the testing environment was professional and secure. While the exam was challenging, it was fair and aligned with the knowledge and skills expected of project management professionals. The entire process, from scheduling the exam to receiving the preliminary results, was smooth and efficient. Thank you for providing a high-quality certification experience.

Earning the certification forced me to look past framework dogmatism. Earning the PMP® certification has been a great opportunity to reflect on my background, my skills, and my career progression. Having recently joined the PMI community, I look forward to learning, exchanging ideas, and thriving alongside fellow professionals.

I prepared for months in advance of even applying to take the exam. I was notified prior to applying that my application "may be audited" and when I submitted the application it was immediately flagged for audit. I was able to get that resolved quickly and schedule my exam; it just seemed very strange that there was an immediate audit flag.

I spent a significant amount of money on study materials (prep courses, books, study guides, etc) all of which provided a high level overview of what to expect, but I found that when I actually took the exam it was HEAVILY weighted toward Agile methodologies and Information Technology / Data Collection industry methods and strategies. It would be far more accurate to state up front that this exam and certification is more relevant to those industries as I would estimate 70-75% of the questions on the exam I took were aligned with those fields. I was able to pass the exam only due to the extensive/exhaustive preparations I committed to in advance because I covered Agile and other Information Technology sector PM Methods/Strategies/Jargon in great detail because they are not the area I am familiar/comfortable with.

Amazing material, staff and real work education that puts people first to succeed and brings really daily work information to class for training. Amazing!!

I love the timeliness of getting my test results and instructions for getting my certification badge.
