This is the best thing since sliced bread. Plus it is the most kept secret. I was teasing Alexia to find my phone. It did with your app. I will use it all the time now. Thank you!
This should be negative stars. I lost money trying to switch to this company. I signed up in good faith, tried on SEVEN occasions to get the system to work. At first they told me I needed additional equipment to make my existing phones work - I had the equipment overnighted (at $150) because, well, a business needs a working phone. Then after 5 "open tickets" trying to get it to work, still no. You cannot understand the techs they have. Hours were spent on the phone with them. Finally, after a week of trying, I told them I wanted to cancel service as I could not spend my day trying to jump through hoops to install their system. They told me at that time that I couldn't cancel with them until I had ported the number back out to a new company. I did so, and contacted them. Comcast, the new company, took about a week to port. When I returned the call to phone.com to cancel, they told me it had been over 30 days so my 1 year in advance payment would not be refunded. What? Does anyone review the open tickets to see this was their fault that the system could not be utilized? Such a disappointment. Do not do business with these people.
Fax quality and ability to cancel: Their faxes are extremely grainy, and the receiver cannot read on their end. And most importantly, the only way to cancel is to call them. I got a guy that opened a "Ticket" to have someone from Customer Service call me back and "discuss" my cancelation. Good grief. They should have a Cancelation option on their system and not make this so difficult. They said "someone" would call me back within "two" days. Holy moly! I doubt they will, and I will probably need to cancel via my credit card company (like other reviewers). And if they do call, I am sure they will try their best to talk me out of canceling my account. I just want to CANCEL!
Absolutely terrible service. The vast majority of the time the phone either doesnt ring and goes straight to voice mail or rings a couple times and then nothing. Been using for 6 months and nothing but problems. Dont waste your money.
The platform is terrible. The phone app constantly has to be logged out and logged back in to get messages. Phone calls keep disconnecting. Been with this service since 2018...not anymore. I'm done. They just got worse.
Worst company if you need support then for sure you will be wasting your 2 hours. Never recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the lady - Ravinder in support, who spoiled the reputation of this company.
We were very happy with Phone.com. Fees were as described. Customer service was excellent. When we had a minor issue it was quickly resolved. I recommend this company.
Zero stars. Lost customers trying to use this. Canceled the service and STILL got billed. Do not trust this company.
Once you sign up you can't cancel. No cancel button. Their email support doesn't respond. I'm calling my credit card company to perform chargebacks now. Pain in the ass.
They will give you the runaround when you try to cancel your service!
Useless, poor quality of calls (drop out every 2 seconds despite being on 650mbps - Fast internet). Called and waited for 20 minutes to try and cancel and just gave up, no answer just repeated hold. Submitted a support message and received an automated response saying they'll be back to me in 24 hours... let's see.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. 25 minutes to answer the phone when there is a problem. These people are worthless.
My experience suggest that you should avoid them. I register for their online fax service with 2 fax number and a year of payment. One day after that my account got suspended because of "fraudulent activity" (by doing almost nothing). I called customer service and their answer is the suspension will remain and will not disclose the reason. After sometime I call them again request for my refund, they said they will not issue any refund or offer any service. It's free money for them at this point.
If you are based in the UK you have to pay $200 upfront before they will allow you to do business with them. Get one of the 2nd number phone provers on your App/play store instead.
called on a Tuesday to get help with a new phone setup. The rep could not solve the problem, so he put in a ticket. I never received any follow up, so I called and spoke with a new rep that Friday, Tyler. It was like pulling teeth to get Tyler to help me. Eventually, after 20 minutes of wasted time I decided to end the call and am now still waiting for someone from phone.com to help me.
Love the service. It was a great way to keep our business feeling professional when we all were working remotely.
no or arrogant costumer service, fax was forwarded after days and not in time, cancellation almost impossable, as they support is not reachable and or emails will not get responded. safe your money.
I purchased a Voip business line 2 weeks ago. I have recieved calls on the line and just purchased business cards with the number on them. 2 weeks later, I get an email saying my account has been suspended because of suspected fraudulent activity. I called customer service. They said they cannot clear the issue or disclose what was fraudulent. My business is REGISTERED with the secretary of state. They also should not have waited 2 WEEKS after I paid for my service and used it to end my contract.
There is no way to hear phone recordings from the app. Using the online features such as adding additional phones for call forwarding is not user-friendly. Phone calls frequently drop. Missed calls do not show up on the app until the next day. There needs to be a better way to record a phone call voicemail message.
Two years and no changes. I recommend you use Grasshopper, Google, or Vonage and save yourself the pain and the money.
Three times I have used Phone.com. First time I needed a cheap service for my side business. From day one, there were issues. Simple things always required a call into Tech Service. The setup is complicated. The interface looks like it is from the 90s, the bills are just confusing. The approach to Customer Service was like I was inconveniencing them. I switched to Grasshopper and still use them to this day.
I started a new job about a year ago, and they had a Phone.com service. My employer is a larger company, so they get respect and help from the Customer Service department. There were constant issues that never seemed to get resolved, and our office manager finally decided to cancel the contract. Phone.com promised that in 6 months, they are moving to tree switch, and it would solve all the issues we were having. We couldn't wait that long and canceled the service. We moved to Vonage, and everyone in the office is much happier.
Last month, I needed phone service for another side business I had started and decided to give Phone.com one last shot in case they had made significant improvements. $9.99 is hard to resist. I signed up, and it is still the crap interface and when I called to cancel, they rep told me the tree switch project was a year behind, and they were not sure of the launch date. I ended up using Google's phone service and will be switching over my Grasshopper account as well.
Wait until you have try to cancel with Phone.com. You have to call in as they no longer accept online, mail, email, or chat requests for cancelation. You go through over 20 minutes of "please do leave... if we could offer six free months..." Even then, they still email you almost daily to come back. A sure sign of a company that won't be around much longer is one that won't let you leave easily.
Two years of six-month promises and not one improvement. How are you still in business?
