Mike was SO patient with me and my learning… even with me not knowing my left and right😂 being dyslexic I was so nervous about finding an understanding instructor but he went above and beyond for my learning
He’s such a friendly instructor and a great teacher
With multiple lockdowns, I had to take a few big breaks from lessons, but he got me to pass my test first time!! I passed a confident driver and was confident I could drive independently

Mike is a great instructor. I had struggled with confidence and feeling comfortable when driving with previous instructors but Mike is able to explain things clearly and finally made driving make sense to me. He is also flexible and accommodating when scheduling lessons, which is very important as someone who works full-time. I passed my test after a few months of lessons with Mike.

Thie above review applies to Mike Dawson specifically, as unfortunately I also had an extremely negative experience with another instructor recommended by OOOSH.

Mike Dawson was a great driving instructor. I passed first time and would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely brilliant instructor, always on time to lessons and was always nice & chatty. Always made sure I knew what I was doing before moving on to something new and felt really comfortable when on my lessons. No shouting, no attitude just a really nice guy who wants the best for his students. I would highly recommend Mike & I have already done so to 3 of my friends. Very understanding if you need anything and gives you feedback at the end of every lesson so you know what to improve on and what your strong points are which I found helped a lot especially being on my parents car as a learner. If you want an instructor then I would definitely advise you to use Mike Dawson, made my driving experience 10x better and overall a great guy.

Mike was a great driving instructor with a lot of patience! He helped me gain confidence on the roads, and correct my faults that I had picked up from previous instructors. I looked forward to every lesson with Mike and can't thank him enough for getting me through my test.

I’d had a previous instructor from a separate company who was dreadful so was recommended Mike Dawson by one of my friends and I passed 4 months later, having only had my last instructor for 1 month. I found Mike to be very effective with the time we had in our lessons and was very flexible to what times suited me best as I had an awkward schedule at the time. Mike was never late for pick up as well as being talkative and clear. Easy, reliable, would recommend.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive! I had an instructor previously and my confidence was very little. The first lesson was nerve wracking and Mike was really patient with me, identifying where I was less confident and working on this. He would give me feedback that helped me for the following lesson and he would always ask me how I thought the lesson went. Mike allowed me to build my confidence on the roads and my confidence in myself. I could not recommend him enough!!

Mike is absolutely wonderful. He’s super friendly, and above all a great instructor. He will notice a fault and make sure to iron it out with you before test. I’ve never had an issue related to money and he has always delivered, giving plenty of warning and offering to reschedule if something comes up. Around test time, he goes above and beyond to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible, which is much appreciated and incredibly beneficial. I’m very thankful for everything that Mike has done for me, and would absolutely recommend him.

I passed recently with Mike Dawson, I couldn't recommend him, and OOOSH more! After having a few bad experiences in the past, Mike knew exactly how to give me the courage and confidence to be able to drive. Every lesson with Mike was such a nice experience, it would be more than a standard driving lesson, it would always be an enjoyable 2 hour lesson where Mike would ask me how I was and we would have a proper conversation. Mike is not only a genuinely nice person, but he wants every student to succeed and that was extremely clear to me. I have been driving for a while now, and even still I constantly remember lessons Mike taught me, or certain ways to remember manouvers, etc. I couldn't thank Mike enough for the time and effort he put into helping me pass.

My experience with Mike Dawson was 10/10 great teacher who uses efficient ways so that what you are being taught is sticking, I passed first time!

I went through a couple driving instructors until I got Mike he has patients and time for his students he got me passed even changing his schedule to work on weekends he wasn’t meant to be working go get me passed would recommend

I began learning to drive later in life than most people (in my 30s!).

My instructor (Mike Dawson) brought me out of my shell and built up my confidence and skills to go for it and pass! I passed second time round (first time I was a week away from giving birth, so a bit more distracted than the average candidate).

You would not believe how much my life has changed now. I have the freedom to go where I want with my baby without agonising over how to get there via public transport.

There are a lot of poor driving instructors out there and Mike Dawson is one of them! My advice is choose an instructor that doesn’t ask for money up front for 10 hours of lessons because you have to keep track! Charged for a lesson we didn’t receive, his favourite quote is “I’m not here to take your money” a red flag! Noted faults in my child driving and when I questioned Mike, he just said oh yes. Overlapping steering and late braking was a couple of things I noticed. Its his job to write down these faults and address them! Found him to be arrogant and talked over you frequently, nothing wrong with driving instructors but he acts like he’s a CEO of a big company! Thankfully we dropped him before my child’s test although he set them back. I wouldn’t recommend Mike or Oosh, choose an independent if you’re good you don’t need to advertise behind a big name. Parents get desperate to find an instructor and can’t wait because of the backlog, get recommendations and wait for a good instructor as it will save you money and time in the long run.

This morning I successfully passed my driving test 1st time with no minors! The instructor said it was a faultless drive.
I wouldn't have been able to do this without my instructor Terry, I couldn't recommend him more. I got back into driving after 10 years and was a nervous wreck, but thanks to Terry he gave me the confidence to not only pass but pass first time. Hire Terry and you won't regret it.

I am delighted to inform you that I have successfully passed my driving test this morning. 1st time!! I owe part of my accomplishment to the great teaching of Imre Gorocs.
