Movers were at the apartment five minutes early, ready to go exactly at the time of the appointment. They handled a difficult move with many fragile items and a strict time window without issue. No items were damaged.

Quote was much lower than others, but in hindsight it was way too low. The end price was about the same as what others charged.

That said the crew did a good job. I just wish the end price was not 2x the estimate.

I got an auto-confirmation that they would call me about my quote but they never did, and a week later I got this email thanking me for a purchase, which scared me until I realized that they just don't have their data straight. Get it together with your online tools or just put up a phone number if you can't handle it.

I have used great movers 4 times since 2008. They are punctual, quick and efficient. Also, their rates are reasonable.

The move went well, the guys were good, except for two things:
1. They charged $50 extra to share a certificate of insurance with my building
2. They lost an expensive piece of framed artwork in the move, and reimbursed me for a fraction its cost.

Great movers did an excellent job! They were originally suppose to come with three mover but they came with six which made it go much faster!! I will say that being that there were 6 movers, I did not have enough money allotted for a tip. So my tip did not reflect the level of service provided, but moving is expensive and I was not prepared for that many people. Overall great company, great workmanship, and great movers :-)

Greatmovers were reliable, fast, very professional and affordable. I was very happy with their service, great job greatmovers.

The moving itself went alright. There was definitely some disagreement about the charges at the end. I’ll be honest, I felt overcharged. We started 15 or 30 minutes late. It took the guys about 30 minutes longer to drive to the new apartment than it took me to drive there. (I’m not sure why.) Then at the point that I thought we were done, they stood around for another 10 minutes and charged me for another half hour. Then you apparently charge an ADDITIONAL half hour for driving which wasn’t clear in the estimate.



The estimate was for three hours. Since you moved us into the storage unit and you knew exactly how much stuff we had, I expected it to be accurate. I took out $500 in cash just to be safe. I was charged $475. WAY over the estimate. I felt really bad I didn’t have enough to tip the men so I went BACK to the bank and took out more cash.

Nycgreatmovers were fantastic. Arrived right within their estimated time window. Moved me from my apartment to another one in a little less than two hours. They were fast, efficient and friendly and I would definitely refer them to anyone who wants a reliable, cost effective company to move them.

The movers arrived on time (in fact, a bit early). They were incredibly nice, helpful, and careful with delicate items such as an antique floor radio. We had pick ups from two apartments and a drop off to one apartment. In less then 2.5 hours, we were into our new place! I will recommend NYC Great Movers to everyone I know!

Service was very good and efficient. However the price and time quote that I was given was very different from the final amount by quite a bit. I was expecting the final amount to be about what I paid but was surprised that the quote I was given was much lower. Also, there were additional material costs not included in the original quote. Overall, very good service and pleased.

Everything was great, very friendly and great prices. The only negative I experienced is that they lost the skeleton key to my cabinet.

Kevin made sure to send his A team for our move. It wasn't that we had a ton of stuff either. He just wanted us to feel comfortable about getting our valuables to a new fifth floor walkup without harm.

These guys were courteous, disassembled my furniture, even wrapped my mattress for an extra $10 (well worth the investment).

If we had a question or needed to tell them that certain boxes had fragile items in them, they acknowledged it without missing a beat.

After all was said and done, Kevin's team clearly explained to us the costs, which were well within our expectations. Considering how efficient they made this process for us, I'd easily recommend them to anyone looking for movers in the NYC-metro area. No scams here!
