As soon as I walked into the Furniture Store I was Greeted By Elif she was so welcoming & appealing,We had a chat & before you knew it she had me wanting to buy a sofa .

Came to Lakeside with the view of window shopping sofas, until we saw the most beautiful 4 seater in Novia and after an impressive demonstration of how easy the sofa is to clean, all of the colour options, dimensions, all with Andrea in store, we were hooked. But Andrea encouraged us to shop around and make sure we were happy with our choice, which we appreciated and sure enough, we were back later that day.

3 months ago we visited Novia Furniture & was helped by Andreea to choose our wonderful new sofa, 2 matching chairs & footstool. Andreea couldn’t have been more helpful & had plenty of time & advice for us. With that in mind we didn’t hesitate to go back & purchase our tv unit a couple of months later.

Decent good quality products but abysmal customer experience. Ordered Sofa and Wardrobes. Experience of ordering from Manchester store (Trafford).

While placing the order in Oct'24, we requested to deliver by Nov end or Dec first week as we were moving into a new house. The salesman said they generally do deliver within this time frame but they still kept the latest delivery date on the invoice as Jan'25. In good faith, we placed the order. At Nov end, we got to know our delivery date would be 17 Dec'24. We fought but then had to compromise as the operations team kept quoting that latest delivery date is Jan'25 on the invoice signed by us. Felt betrayed as we trusted the salesman in good faith. The delivery team does turn up on 17 Dec'24 but with correct sofa and incorrect wardrobe doors. The operations team took two full days to find the correct doors in the warehouse leaving us hanging. Finally, the wardrobes arrived on 24 Dec'25 after calling them everyday/ chasing them.

Now about the installation and assembly. The wardrobes got chipped at multiple places but we decided to live with it. Moreover, the delivery guys also spoilt a small patch of our carpet with glue while they were busy covering the chipped areas.

We took the delivery of such things only because refusing under such circumstances would have left us hanging for another month but this should not be ideal experience for anyone.

Conclusion: Make sure to read their T&Cs carefully as this is what they use against you when you end up in a difficult situation with them. Have enough buffer time as all these furniture companies generally deliver late. Do not fall for the sweet sugar coated words of the salesman. He/ she will be of no help once the order reaches their operations team.

I order my sofas in May 2024. I was informed they will be delivered first week of September. No communication from Novia until I sent a message. I was informed due to the weather conditions there has been a delay. I received part of my order first week of October. The recliners buttons were fitted the wrong way round and one of the sofa had been scratched whilst the packaging was removed like a knife mark. The delivery men were not aware of missing items and asked us to contact the store for the knife mark, recliner button and missing items. Don’t waste your time to call as no one picks up. I sent an email and you get a system generated email saying someone will contact you in 48 hours. Eventually someone got in touch with me saying the some of the sofas were not delivered together as they were manufactured at different warehouse and they did not have the material readily available for my order. (5 months to source material 🤔) I was reassured my sofa were made and he would send me a picture as proof, they are waiting for them to be delivered from Turkey. No pictures was sent 😠 . Eventually my last 2 pieces of my sofa arrived end of November and the delivery men would fix the recliner button and repair the scratch. They tried to repair with a steam iron but were unable to fix. I was informed someone will get in touch to collect the sofa and to repair at warehouse and return within a week. No on has contacted me. To cut a long story short DO NOT ORDER FROM NOVIA unless you are prepared to wait 6+ months and have the time to constantly chase for you order. Customer service is ABYSMAL.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDE!
1. They didn't abide by their promise when ordering the furnitures. They told me they would escalate my order before purchase, but then they changed their sayings i.e they have to wait a standard time etc. Then why did you tell me you're gonna expedite it?

2. Second and the most irritating thing is the handle of the sofabed I bought came off. I sent 3 emails in July, September and December regarding the issue, no response at all!

In addition I called them twice, in both of them they told me they're gonna arrange a repair and call me back in a few days but no call back whatsoever!

Long story short, if you want to buy this brand, forget about customer service! And don't believe the delivery dates!

I would not recommend buying online.

Firstly, order should have arrived in I think it was 3-5 working days, after two weeks of not hearing anything, I need to reach out to them to figure out what's with my order. It then got delivered almost 3 weeks after order date.

When delivered, no instructions around which bulb to use for the light. After sending a customer care email, it takes about a week for them to call me up and tell me (after which I had already tried a few).

Now about 4 months after having the lamp, the shade broke off the base and they have been irresponsive on the 3 email addresses they use and they don't pick up the phone. I would strongly recommend you to not order online from them in case you have to deal with a non-existing customer service team.

Great team at Novia Lakeside Thurrock. Was greeted by a lovely informative young man at the door and then was served by Andrea who was great. Purchased a gorgeous set of dining chairs due to be delivered next year. Have some beautiful furniture in store and we are going to go back for sofas. We had a very personal experience from Andrea very knowledgeable and also very friendly without being pushy. Nicest furniture store I’ve come across in awhile 👍🏻

If I could put zero I would. Do not order from this shop. We ordered our sofas in September with a view for a delivery after 12 December, at our request. Low and behold due to their unorganisation our sofas cannot be delivered until after Xmas. Then they proceed to argue with us as it’s our fault we didn’t give them a date! Do not order. Do not buy from Novia.

Zeytuna was very helpful, she pointed out a few things which I would not noticed.

We bought a sofa at lakeside and the experience was wonderful. Andrea especially was superb, she not only helped enthusiastically everytime we visited but she did not rush us to purchase anything either. She provided insight and opinions every time without making it feel like a chore. Will definitely be visiting again.

Scammers!! I ordered barstool back in march and still haven’t received them. They aren’t answering my calls or responding to my emails. I’ve had to raise an indemnity claim with my bank. They’ve spent months telling me they would arrive and never have. The other furniture I’ve received is of poor standard would not recommend buying from here
