Extremely poor product quality

The experience and customer service when purchasing the item was great. We purchased a 3 seater and 2 seater, however within a year the 3 seater sofa has lost all firmness and support and now feels like your sitting on a trampoline. The 2 seater which isn’t used much at all due to it being in an awkward position to the tv, is still somewhat firm however you can see this will give way as soon as it’s in use. My husband now sits on the floor and uses the sofa to lean on as it has now given him severe back problems. The furniture is aesthetically pleasing however the product quality is terrible, and customer service once problems arise is non existent, so please be aware.

A scam stolen 2200 pounds

I bought a sofa in October with a delivery date of 5th Jan. The company went into liquidation. I have disputed my payment of £2200 due to not receiving the sofa by March and they disputed the refund via Mastercard. Clearly a scam from the beginning as they were pushing me to purchase with cash.

Never buy furniture from here

They took around 11 months to deliver my dinning table. Upon booking I specifically checked whether there will be any delays but the sales person(Corina) said why there will be delays like I was asking something weird. I followed up with them on every week and their customer support number never worked so I need to call store number every time. They said they will do some refund but that also never happened. When the table was delivered it came with wrong coloured foot and I rejected to accept it and they give me in written that correct leg will be relieved which eventually happened after two months of already 11 months delayed delivery of dinning table. Never ever buy your furniture from here.

Bad Quality, very expensive and no support

I purchased an expensive sofa from this company, and despite being a small family of two with minimal usage, the sofa began developing issues within a year. Specifically, it started making creaking noises even under normal use.

The company attempted a repair once, but the problem reappeared within a few months. This time, the issue affects a much larger area of the sofa, making it uncomfortable and unacceptable to use. Since then, despite repeated follow-ups over the past three months, there has been no response or resolution from their support team.

Given the price of the sofa, the lack of durability, and the complete failure of after-sales support, the warranty provided appears meaningless and cannot be trusted. The prolonged delay and poor service are extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I will not waste time or money buying from them again and will pursue legal action.

Disaster company. Liquidation!

I was all set to write a review about how the chairs I purchased in July still haven’t arrived. About the lies I was told at the start of December that they were being shipped that weekend. About the total lack of communication. About the incompetence of the team.

But now I’ve just seen the company has gone into liquidation (no surprise there given how poor they are at everything), I won’t waste my energy as I’m clearly going to need it to chase the money we’re owed!

‼️‼️Worst experience‼️‼️Warning to all future customers don’t shop at Novia. My experience at the lakeside store.
With months of fustration stress and the run around me and my husband have finally got some of our money back from these thieves of a company.
I have never experienced such poor customer service skills from colleagues working with this company.
Me and my husband purchased a sofa and chair back in 16.10.2025 which we waited for 2 weeks for them to be delivered, we mentioned to the colleague our concerns on whether or not it would actually fit in our home and lift and this was one of our worries and it took some time to actually make the purchase because of this fact but was rest assured that if it didn’t fit in our lift it would be taken up by stairs, we had no help with measuring the sofa or any advice in case. No other help at all other than them taking our money within minutes. As I do think as a company this should be part of the service to ensure the customer is happy with going ahead with purchase. We was told more than two members of staff would arrive upon deliver to ensure that an attempt would be made to deliver our order. We waited for the two weeks to come around for the delivery which only two staff members come and said they are not bringing it up by stairs and left we then had to wait another two weeks for ‘more members of staff to come to help with delivery’ they come yet again only two members of staff absolute joke no communication. We then measured inside our home and come to the realisation that delivery can not be made as it would not fit so we decided to cancel our order. While trying to get through to customer service they hardly ever answer and are completely rude and argumentative at one point we called the lakeside store and a man said he’s not giving out money back and to take something from the store instead and he’s not giving our refund. The attitude is actually disgusting I’ve never in my life been so let down and angry/ upset as I have been also being pregnant and them knowing this it’s really upset me, They are so heartless and did not care about all this stress given to me.
After trying to contact them a numerous amount of times we were then told they are taking 30% of our money to keep because this is all our fault and it’s our responsibility to make sure it fits even though they did not once even take it out of there delivery van to attempt. They stole our money and told us to wait 21 working days for some of our money to be returned via bank transfer. We told them actually it should come back the same way we paid which was cash. The lady in the store said no it’s coming back by bank transfer and you have to wait this is their policy. I knew dam well that money wasn’t coming back to us without having to fight for it because all they do is lie and let you down.
Of course a month past and absolutely nothing, no money no email, message or call to say why this hasn’t been done. I called and was told they will contact finance I then had to wait another two days because they was ignoring my calls after not getting back to me later that day.
She said because we paid by cash it has to come back cash that’s why it didn’t work via bank transfer. I actually laughed because it’s so ridiculous. She said we have to come to the store ourselves and collect some of the money today and some on the weekend. So we not have to pay for the dartford crossing they keep our 30% they make us wait for absolutely nothing and we have to chase them to get our money back.
When we arrived we was given some money but we was so angry how we have been treated, spoken to and how the problem was not resolved professionally as well as it should have been we said we are not leaving without the rest of our money so they within minutes transferred the rest by bank transfer. After saying they couldn’t. They make things up as they go along, say they can’t do something and they can they will do anything to try keep all of your money, I can honestly guarantee if we was not persistent with trying to get our money back we would never of been given it back or contacted us regarding this.

Don’t shop here, worst mistake of my life stepping foot into this store it should be shut down. Worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed they don’t care about their customers or people in general.

Three months of hell from this company😡‼️‼️

They are pure scammers!!!!

THEY ARE NOW IN LIQUIDATION!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!! I wish I could give zero stars for the abysmal experience I've had with this company. I ordered a bed nearly a year ago, in November, and it arrived damaged. Since then, I've been subjected to months of false promises from their customer service team, assuring me that the replacement would arrive "next week." It has now been almost a year, and I am still waiting with no resolution in sight.

To make matters worse, I also received faulty chairs, and was only recently told that they will be "investigated next week." How can a company take this long just to investigate faulty products? It’s clear that customer satisfaction and quality control are not a priority for this business.

I’ve wasted endless hours chasing them, only to receive nothing but lies and delays. This is beyond frustrating—it's disgraceful. I have demanded either a full refund or immediate replacements for both the bed and chairs, but if this situation isn’t resolved soon, I will be forced to escalate it with legal action and report them to consumer protection agencies.

If you value your time and money, avoid this company at all costs. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is truly shocking. I’ve never experienced such poor service in my life. They are pure scammers!!!!

Very disappointing experience with Novia Shop in Lakeside …

I purchased two wardrobes from Novia Shop for my daughter and my son, and the entire experience has been extremely frustrating. One of the wardrobes was delivered two months late.

On top of that, one of the wardrobe doors doesn’t open or close properly. I contacted them immediately and was told someone would come to fix it — but nobody ever showed up, even after multiple reminders.

Novia Shop also agreed to provide a £250 compensation, but it has now been over two months, and I still haven’t received anything. I keep emailing them, but I get no real response and no action.

Very poor customer service and lack of responsibility. I would not recommend buying from them.

I bought a light-colored sofa from…

I bought a light-colored sofa from Novia Furniture, and after a short time tiny black dots started appearing through the fabric. These stains cannot be cleaned, even using the method Novia advised. Their technician failed to remove them, took the sofa away, and brought it back unchanged saying there was “no issue.”

Despite my warranty and guarantee, Novia refused to help. Their customer service and complaints department were unhelpful, and they’re not registered with an ombudsman, so there’s no real accountability. I tried every single organization for a year, at the end no one investigate my complaint they just accept whatever the company reports, no matter how many evidence you collect even long videos showing they just easily dismiss your concerns.
Have to say if you get a darker color you won’t have any problem, and this is when I went wrong, when they assured me even with bright color I just need washing up liquid and warm water.
If you’re looking for a bright color sofa avoid Novia Furniture poor and unreliable customer support, and there is no one to turn to.

Sofa ordered with significant delivery delay and poor customer service

Ordered new sofa in March 2025 with the usual 3-month delivery lead time. This ended up 6 months with endless calls to various people. The only way you get to speak to someone is through pure determination and constant redialing until someone picks up. The furniture has eventually arrived and so far is fine. Only issue we have discovered this weekend is the delivery guys shoved a European two-pin plug into a UK 3-pin socket. All furniture it appears is manufactured in Turkey and the delivery blame was allegedly due to customs and excise. Do not recommend purely because of the lack of service and delays.

Awful

Awful. STAY AWAY. Customer service is terrible. They won’t respond to you and keep pushing your delivery back. We had to wait 8 months for a sofa when they promised a 12-week turnaround. When we finally had enough and wanted to cancel, they tried to charge us 40% of the price for canceling! They won’t answer your calls or emails, and the staff have no idea what’s really going on. They tell you your order is being shipped, but it’s actually still in Turkey. All the positive reviews here are fake—made up by family members of staff and friends. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
