CROOKS
Nothing but a bunch of corrupt lying SCUMBAGS. If fraud happens you will NOT get your money back. Do not open an account with these CROOKS.
I believe that the actions of this bank…
I believe that the actions of this bank border on criminality. Too much reliance on AI when things go wrong. Today I was told by AI that the matter had been settled & that an email or letter had been sent. I certainly haven't received either.
Changing name with them while you are a…
Changing name with them while you are a foreigner or have dual citizenship is a joke. I have provided all the documents, including administrative decision issued by the government of my original country and passports in my new names (that is the only legal way to change my name under the laws of both countries), and Natwest is the only institution that claims that this doesn't prove anything. Well done for creating discriminatory policies that go against policies of the UK!
Oh, and Cora is another joke and so difficult to deal with.
NatWest allowed TikTok to take £1200…
NatWest allowed TikTok to take £1200 from my NatWest credit card account. I have tried to contact TikTok through support website but no answer or reply. I tried a paid ad on TikTok for £60 to see if it would work, the response was zero, with now new followers or any increase on the normal reach. So I decided to stick with other promotional opportunities. Next thing I know over £1200 had been taken from my account by TikTok and NatWest are not interested in helping me recover this money. No reply from TikTok and no help at all from NatWest.
1st class customer services agent
5 stars only because of the customer service agent Isabella who got everything sorted on a frustratingly difficult transaction. She was fantastic and without her involvement my opinion would've been very different as the auto assistant was annoyingly unhelpful to the point of being 'unfit for purpose'.
Opening an account
The website says that to open an account for an asylum seeker (my 16 year old foster child) we need to come into the branch to complete the application. When I came into the branch at the Trading Estate in Slough I was refused and told online applications only. Total waste of my time so I had the choose another bank.
Nat West is not offering RBS customers access to accounts
Was offered an account review while with cashier today. She tried to book me in but because I am RBS and now have no choice but to bank with Nat West I am not eligible for a review! If Nay West took over RBS I assumed they would be giving me the services I had with RBS,silly me of course not.
Tried to close one account to open the one cashier said would be better for me but as I do not have a mobile phone for the app,do telephone or online banking basically that is me stuffed.
At 74 I do not want all this tech stuff just a bank with a cashier.I see and speak to no one but cashier and shop assistants. The Crookes,Attercliffe,Sheffield Moor and Church Street RBS closed and getting at my own money gets harder daily.
No one to complain too or talk about it,cashier was only one open and wanted me gone.
where is the logo for nat west on here…
where is the logo for nat west on here . this is as if it's not the same bank . i want to say the customer service (online) is a joke . if they don't do it and you can only phone, just say so . live chat - eventually get in a queue to chat to a human - then it goes off . u get a notification on the app . then go on chat again . and have to start over , with the chatbot 'Cora' . what a complete joke, waste of time and way to delay/put off helping us .
NatWest is by far the most…
NatWest is by far the most bureaucratic, slow, and arrogant bank I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their customer service is virtually non-existent, and their internal procedures feel designed to exhaust and stonewall you rather than actually solve a problem.
Instead of treating customers with fairness and transparency, they hide behind endless delays, dragging out simple processes for months while taking full advantage of statutory time limits. They offer zero empathy, zero accountability, and display an astonishing level of corporate arrogance.
If you value your time, peace of mind, and financial security, stay far away from NatWest. They are rigid, outdated, and thoroughly indifferent to their customers' well-being. Worst banking experience ever.
Poor Customer Service Fraud Team
Card blocked due to suspected fraudulent activities which is perfectly fine as a preventative measure. Rang through customer services and was connected through to the fraud team who lifted the block two days ago, tried using today card still blocked. Had to ring again to get it unblocked and asking why the credit card details have disappeared from the app - they just went card is now unblocked, have a good day, hung up! Seriously? Is this how the fraud team is supposed to operate?
Poor, almost non existant, customer service.
I had trouble with ID when trying to open a new ISA. I first tried their Chat Bot and found it extremely lacking as it suggested questions I did not want to ask. When I got to the stage of putting in a question it could not understand it even with simple words. In these days of AI it should be far better. I then tried to call my nearest branch an 0345 number as I wanted to ask if I could go into a branch to set up my ISA. I was offered many automated options which were unsatisfactory but could not connect to a real person. I did not want to travel to a branch who could not handle isa applications as that would waste my time and travel cost. Overall a bad lack of customer service.

Terrible app
Terrible. Every "chat" message says "wait sn hour". This is insulting. Apple Face ID does not work AGAIN, second time this summer. Pure greed, not investing in customer experience. Go to another bank, I suggest.
If I could give ZERO stars I WOULD!

Very disappointing handling of a card dispute
My experience of NatWest’s handling of a disputed transaction has been extremely frustrating. What I believed was a dispute over the actual payment was ultimately dealt with as a request to stop future payments, while the transaction I was disputing remained unresolved.
It then took repeated contact through Cora before NatWest finally acknowledged what I had actually been asking them to investigate. I also had evidence available throughout, but was never asked to provide it.
The matter has now been escalated again and remains unresolved. I will update this review when I receive NatWest’s final response.
My biggest disappointment is how much time and effort it has taken simply to get the actual issue understood.
Very poor customer service in my experience. I would advise anyone considering a NatWest account to read through the customer reviews and make up their own mind.
Such A ridiculous bank and Bankinh App…
Such A ridiculous bank and Banking App services no way to refund, app use too difficult, whenever someone deducted wrong no easy way to refund
Student Account + Customer Support
Tried to set up student account 4 times. Was rejected every time. Went into my local branch and they couldn't set the account up for me, but walked me through the steps on my phone with me (to make sure I did it correctly). Failed again, and called customer support which was immediately picked up by AI that helped 0. My father finally contacted them on behalf of me because the whole process had taken 1 week by this point and I was getting stressed - and the customer support had no actual advice and no idea why it was failing.
Recommend nationwide as a good alternative!
NatWest do not care about customer…
NatWest do not care about customer service and wfter being a customer for around 55 years i am now looking to move to a bank that looks after their customers. If you look at Trust pilot reviews you will see a trend of bad reviews from customers and hardly any of them get any response from Nat West which proves their Customer service is actually really bad and they dont care about the number of complaints they recieve
This is only the 2nd time I've rung…
This is only the 2nd time I've rung natwest customer service and both times have left me with a thumping head and no resolution. I wanted to buy a car but online it limited me to the amount I could transfer. I rang them to increase the amount for this one purchase.
First I got a bot that only recognised certain commands. Next I was asked to choose what I wanted to listen to while on hold. Finally I got a person who listened and then hung up on me. That meant I was asked to do a survey.
I rang again and finally got through. This time I was told that they couldn't do anything but to maybe try in branch. Where? They've shut all our local branches.
Time to transfer to a new bank. I'm not putting myself through this again.
Useless rascists theives or scam
Useless rascists theives or scam
Payments overcharges fraudw NatWest worse than Useless.
Eg every month faje DD thry refuse to cancel though cancelled it but still Paul got to some fraudw since June last year! They request info and timeasters but do notging theit tactics guaranteed to annoy you rascusrs
NatWest or another bank
Even returned reused money or it get stolen again they ignore any complaints ( eg travel when the company’s based in uk anyways) as they see money in account esp thry know from refunds to steal via more scam Charges?!
Plus they said problem with app liars they stopped app then not allowing to log back in it months ! phone them they fob you off with their grandiose uselessnesses time wasting TW cuts requesting applause and payments for it?!
They do not want to pay out
My husband died at the end of May and it looks as if they are not transferring his money to me in spite of mirror wills. They have put every obsticle they can in the way by not accepting documents but not explaining why. Currently they will not accept utility bills for proof of address as they are in the name of Julie, which I have been known as for over 60 years, but my passport is in the name of Julia. I have now found out from the complaints dept the reason for non-acceptance. They could have told me nearly two months ago but obviously want to hold on to the money. I have now sent them an HMRC letter addressed to Julia to see if they will accept that instead. I am not holding my breath.
POOR SERVICE
Travelled to Attercliffe (local branch) to find branch had closed down. Went to Crystal Peaks, queued for about 20 minutes before being told to wait in another queue, just to get a photocopy taken of a document. After waiting 30 minutes and 2 people still before me I had to leave. Documents still outstanding now with bank because they won't accept online and in branch was an epic FAIL! Up your game Nat West. Lots of unhappy customers on here.
