Brilliant from start to finish kept updated of what was going on. Was quoted £240 for my phone and that’s what I got. Excellent service all round. Thank you 😊
DO NOT TRADE YOUR MOBILE IN WITH VERY…
DO NOT TRADE YOUR MOBILE IN WITH VERY VIA MTR.
I used MTR to trade in my old phone when buying a new one from Very. I didn't do much research on MTR as I thought that if Very endorsed them they would provide a good service.
I was offered £140 for my phone and sent it off to MTR. They later emailed me to say that there was an issue with my phone, that the back cover was lifted indicating a battery problem or that the screen had previously been replaced. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the phone when it was sent off. It was in perfect working condition.MTR revised their offer down to £40. I then checked TrustPilot and saw the reviews!!! I felt I had no choice but to accept the new offer as there were many reviews from other customers in the same situation saying they had not received their phones back or that when they did their phone was returned damaged.
I contacted Very to question their partnership with MTR, but apparently no-one knows anything about it!
SCAM ASSOCIATED WITH VERY.CO.UK
this came up to trade my iPhone 12 as a partner with Very. The minute I clicked the link and started to put in my details a London number called 0207 3918888 - complete scam. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I thought it was legit as they partner with Very.co.uk. Absolutely not. Thank Goodness I did not proceed

Used mtr to trade In my phone through very and had no problems. Got paid straight away with price given on quote would recommend.
SCAMMERS & THIEVES
Total scam I don’t know why Very are promoting this company. I was quoted £150 for an Apple Watch so I sent it off in the original Apple box with my strap un used plug and charger. They then said the on off button wasn’t working which was news to me because I had put it to factory reset and turned it off. They then offered me £3. I refused this and asked for my watch back.
What I got back was just my watch face in a little black box. Everything else was missing stolen.

Wouldn't give any stars but 1 is as low as you can go . Done deal via very for old OnePlus phone . Price offered was duly knocked down because of the old " screen burn " trick . Shower of scammers . Why are Very teaming up with these crooks . Avoid use CEK instead .

Sent my 2017 iPad to sell as they quoted £70. Then decided to only pay £20. It was in a very good condition.
Now sold it on CEX for £112.
Would not recommend this company.
Complete scammers!! Dobt trust them with ur device!!
Complete scammers. Sent zflip 3 under warranty in for repair through Samsung. The screen flickered green and screen saver had a crease at the fold.
They tried to scam £309 out of me to repair the phone stating it was damaged.
There was not one mark on the phone I sent to them and when I received it back they had scratched all over the bottom screen.
Not only have they tried to rip me off they have intentionally damaged my phone.
I am disgusted at the behaviour of MTR and have reported them for this!!
Avoid Samsung trade-in/recycle program!!
Avoid trade-in/recycle program!!! They are devaluing the price of the trade-in device when you send it to them and ask for extra money. Sent an S21 Ultra less than 1 year old in a perfect condition, 2 weeks later I received a notification of a screen burn ...with a grainy picture that looked like it was taken with a phone from 2000's or Photoshopped asking me to pay 75£. I was born with a great attention to details and I would have noticed this screenburn before I had sent my device. I'm at the second Trade In when i am asked for more money. And the fact fact that there are a lot of people here with the same story here makes me think it is a common practice within their organisation to make money! Avoid!!
Bit of a scam going on
Bit of a scam going on here, my experience mirrors previous experiences below.
Apparently item is now faulty and they refuse to submit a claim to the Royal Mail
Positive experience
I’ve had a positive experience so far.I was offered £360 for my iPhone12, 2 years old exactly. Amazon offered £301 which I thought was a bit mean as the phone is perfect just a tired battery. I sent the phone back yesterday at 15:30 Special Delivery cost £7.65, got an email shortly after confirming this. 09.26 this morning ot an email confirming phone had arrived at MTR, another at 13.11 a bank transfer of £360 will be deposited into my Account after 17.00 today. If there was an option to send a snapshot of the email I would have sent it as proof with this review.I am glad that I didn’t read these reviews before I went ahead as I wouldn’t have used the company, reason for this is I came upon MTR via Very.co.uk.
Avoid.
Samsung S21 sent in after being offered £240 when buying a new phone from Mobile Phones Direct. Offer adjusted by MTR to £100 for an apparent bleed in the lcd. Phone was in perfect condition when it was packaged and sent in original box. Have rejected the new offer for the phone so now worrying what condition it will be returned in. Very difficult to get in contact with MTR through their 0844 number.
Scammers and Fraudsters.
Wish I saw these reviews before sending off my phone. They will try to claim your phone is faulty when its actually not, just so they can give you a lot less money.
They (or samsung recycle) offered me £315 for my phone before sending it in, then knocked it down to £100 after I sent it in claiming it was faulty - that the back cover was lifted. I knew for a fact it was not before I sent it in - in fact my phone was in near perfect condition. They sent me a photo of another phone of the same model showing the back cover lifted slightly on the top claiming it was my phone, it was so obvious they were showing me a photo of another phone trying to claim it was my phone, there was even a dent on the phone in the photo they sent me, which I knew my phone did not have, (so they clearly just hope you are stupid and don't notice these obvious differences and will accept their fraudulent offer).
Naturally I refused their offer and they returned my phone, which they returned in another box, which was not the original box I sent it in. So naturally I checked the phone when I received it back (Which was the original phone I sent in thankfully) and compared it to the photo they sent me claiming "back cover lifted", and just like when I sent it in- my cover seams were in perfect alignment, with no issues.
These guys work as part of "samsung recycle" so beware of using samsung recycle they may send your phone off to MTR - which I am guessing is one of samsung recycles partners.
Don't believe the offer!
Made me a great offer for my phone (£360) which I always kept in a case and had screen protectors on so thought I was on to a winner, how wrong was I! £70 I was offered for my 256gb Samsung Z Flip 3, wish I saw the reviews first. Only used these because of a recommendation from Very.co.uk. Not happy.
Complete scam, avoid
Complete scam. Sent them a perfect condition Nintendo switch for an offer of £140. They emailed me to say it was faulty and offered me £10 for it. They gave a deadline to reply via a link otherwise the £10 offer would be accepted. I tried to decline via link multiple times but it kept failing. I tried to call and got through but lo and behold was hung up on. When I eventually got through they told me the controllers were faulty (complete lie). I asked for evidence and they refused. I was hung up on again. Eventually my console was sent back to me. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Total scam avoid at all costs. Managed to sell on ebay for £190 so thanks for the refusal MTR!
Shockingly bad company!!
Shockingly bad company!!! I upgraded my phone with the Samsung trade in offer at Samsung.com totally unaware that Samsung have partnered with mtr group to handle the trade in devices.6 weeks after mtr group received my old device I received an email saying that my old phone had screen burn and I had to pay a £75 surcharge.this is totally not true my old phone was in good condition and definitely did not have screen burn.mtr customer service was rude and unhelpful they were only interested in trying to scam £75 from me.after numerous calls and emails to samsumg customer care samsumg eventually decided to waive the £75 surcharge.really bad experience and shame on samsung for partnering with this criminal mtr company.
Scam! beware of losing your items
my mobile was sent there for repair, still waiting for any update from them, and can't get through to speak to anyone. Even Samsung has called them up several times and they can't get through. I'm trying to contact them and just nothing, despite my package being sent by DPD by Samsung and tracked
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I’ve sent two devices only received money for one. They didn’t bother to reply to my emails. I’m really disappointed !!Please be aware especially if you are sending something expensive.
