⭐ 1 Star – Avoid Moravane! Refusing to Honour UK Consumer Rights
I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Moravane to think twice.
I purchased a pair of trainers for my son for £85. Unfortunately, when they arrived, they were far too tight, despite ordering a size larger than he normally wears.
I contacted Moravane within 14 days of receiving the trainers and requested a return and full refund, as I am entitled to do under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
What followed has been an incredibly frustrating experience.
Despite numerous emails, Moravane has repeatedly refused to refund me. Instead, they offered to send another pair if I paid an additional £28.99, or alternatively offered me 20% off my next purchase.
Their latest excuse is that because the trainers were purchased under a promotion, they cannot accept a return or issue a refund.
This is not how UK consumer cancellation rights work. Buying something in a promotion does not automatically remove your legal right to return an online purchase within the statutory cancellation period.
After looking at other online reviews, I have seen similar complaints from other customers, which makes my experience even more concerning.
I am now pursuing a chargeback through my credit card provider and reporting my experience to Citizens Advice for referral to Trading Standards.
It is extremely disappointing that a company would rather repeatedly refuse a reasonable refund request than resolve a straightforward customer complaint.
My advice: Be very cautious before ordering from Moravane. Based on my experience, getting your money back could be far more difficult than you expect.
