Once loyal customer - never again

I was a longterm customer and bought my used Mazda from this garage. I returned for an MOT and without giving me any quote or estimate whatsoever, they presented a £900 bill. No evidence that any of the work was needed (or carried out) and no warning. Aftercare was non existent - Marcus couldn't even be bothered to reply to my email. I took the case to the Ombudsman who found in my favour for a partial refund and MKG3000 refused to pay. Two years on I am still pursuing them to this day. Please, find another garage.

All good in the end and a 5* service

Update 14/08/25- After I sent the email they did try to contact me but left a voicemail on wrong number - was sent the recording to prove this. The experience was completely different from couple of weeks earlier. The car has now been fixed at their expense. They even came to collect the car and dropped it off.
Original review- I would not recommend this place for service at all. I took my car in for a service with no issues at all. The day after the service I noticed that the parking sensors were not working.. they had been switched off.. I switched them back on and they are all messed up. Noticed that one of the rear sensors is missing which is making all the sensors play up. Called MKG3000 and I was told that I would have to pay £200 for a diagnostics check .. for something they messed up !! I have sent an email and have had no reply . This is complete incompetence and poor customer service.

Excellent service

Bought my approved used car, Kia Rio in March 2025 from Mazda In Twickenham . It came with a year warranty and drive away insurance.

Salesman Usman Rana who sold me the car was very professional, knowledgeable , friendly and helped me in every way so I was satisfied with my purchase .
He did not pressurise me in anyway during this purchase period. He went out of his way before and after my purchase to make sure I was happy. Good communication from him through out the purchase procedure. Answered all my queries in depth putting my mind at ease.

I also had a very good customer service from Sab on the reception who found me a new part my car needed . Again good communication through out. Part ordered and was fitted today.

The showroom was clean , well organised and all the staff were super friendly at all times.

I would have no hesitation in purchasing a car from Mazda in future or recommending them to friends and family.

It was my first time buying a car on my own and I could not have asked for a better experience.
Hope the same level of great service remains during rest of warranty period and should anything go wrong.

Helpful

Shane (salesman) was very helpful from the beginning and made sure I knew the absolute most before I made the decision to purchase my car, he even managed to sort out a test drive so I was certain with my decision.

Excellent Car Sales

Searched various sites and was lucky enough to find MKG3000. Usman (sales person) was so helpful from the very first call. Arranged a test drive straight away, talked me through the car purchase and explained all of the admin which was covered mostly by the company with little to do by me - wonderful. I picked up the valeted car a few days later and the handover could not have gone smoother. I can certainly recommend Usman and the team at MKG3000 and will certainly use them again the next time around.

Took delivery of new Mazda 2 hybrid Homura plus. The sales assistant was very pleasant and helpful and the service we received was exemplary. The vehicle is highly satisfactory in all respects.

He went above and beyond to satisfy my customer needs regarding my new car. Before sale and after sales service was great. Sales satisfaction.

I know nothing of this company, but I saw they had a vehicle on their website which my wife and I thought would suit us.
I went to see it and met Usman Rana, the salesman, who was both pleasant and very helpful.
We concluded a deal with no complications. When I went to collect the vehicle Usman completed the paperwork very quickly and then spent quite some time showing me the details of the car we had purchased. Being rather old I was amazed by his patience and he left me feeling very grateful.
We will see how the car goes but I would certainly recommend Usman as a reasonable fellow with which to do business.

Great Service Team MKG3000 Mazda - Twickenham

From the moment we stepped foot in the showroom the team were very warm, friendly and patient with our questions. Ian laid the foundation, explained all our options and how the process works. There was no pressure to buy, just good honest service. By the time we were ready to buy Usman closed the deal, organised our test drive and completed the paperwork. Both were instrumental in our decision and full credit to great teamwork.
This will not be the last time we go, as our car will need to be serviced etc in the future and we most certainly will not hesitate to return with our custom.
Aside from this, so far our CX5 drives like a dream, with the knowledge it has only been serviced by their team, I am sure we will have minor work from hereon.

Reliable, warm, pleasent and trustworthy

Got the MOT and some work done on my car, found the people very warm and friendly. Work was completed with no fuss. Boosted my confidence as i don't trust local garage after previous trip being wasted and even unpleasant

Customer service appalling and no one wants to take responsibility

We have been coming here to do our MOT and service on the car for the past five years and have never encountered a problem. However this time round has caused us so much distress that I won’t be coming back. Instead of having a thorough look into the diagnostics they carried out and communicating CLEARLY how much repairs etc would be in total from the beginning, i found these guys going backwards and forwards on what needed to be repaired this resulting in us being charged twice for labour work when I should have only been charged once after running the diagnostics had they done this properly. I also spoke to the same guy at the service team who’s name is Malvin before booking the diagnostics and explained what was wrong with the car and what noises it had been doing, then went on to explain the same thing to the receptionist who books cars in for service to which she even suggested I would bring all the paperwork from the previous garage which we did on the day of service and then had the service guy weeks after calling me to tell me he never had this paperwork and we never told them beforehand what we thought problem might be. Initially told me EGR vaults needed to be replaced but then only replaced one? I’ve asked to speak to the manager and I’m since Friday waiting for this call. No one here wants to take responsibility but want to charge you for their mistakes. Appalling and very shocking. Having worked in customer service as a manager, my first step is to reach out to the customer to make things right yet not one phone call or email from the service manager Marcus or director Sarb has been made. Shows how much they really care.

They picked up and dropped car back after serviced, car was cleaned and dropped back, Nathan was really good and professional at explaining the invoice.

Ripped off

6 Feb 2023. Avoid at all costs! I was ripped off and should have known better. I had (and still have) an issue with my Mazda 626. It's an old car, but in great condition and with v low mileage as was little used for most of its 20+ years. Therefore I'm keen to get it fixed and not scrap it. It has a faulty immobiliser and will not start. This was diagnosed by my local garage who charged almost nothing to do so. However, they could not fix it so suggested I book it into Mazda to fix. I booked into Mazda and told them what the issue was and that the local garage has diagnosed the problem via the on board fault code and further tests. Mazda Twickenham said they could help but would have to do their own diagnostics. Plus I would have to tow the car there as they can't help with that. We agreed a set price for the diagnostic test £140 plus VAT and agreed we would discus costs to fix once confirmed. The car sat with Mazda Twickenham for 2 weeks after which time I received a call saying that they tested it and agreed the Immobiliser was at fault. However, they couldn't fix it as the parts are no longer manufactured. I was advised that I might be able to find spares in a scrap yard but they can't help. They needed me to now remove the car ASAP and settle the bill. When I went to retrieve the car, the bill was now £270. I reminded them that we agreed the diagnostic costs, but they said they needed more time and actually they were doing me a favour as they had spent almost 5 hours checking it. They also initially claimed that they had phoned me and gotten approval for the additional investigations, but backtracked when I challenged this. So effectively lied about it. I had supplied the OBD2 connector to them so to diagnose all they needed to do was plug it in and it confirmed the fault. They would not return the keys until I paid the full charge. So I left, with Mazda Twickenham having done absolutely nothing apart from cost me £320 (Towing costs included) and wasted 2 weeks of my time. This dealership is an absolutely sham and totally disingenuous. Needless to say, I will never go back to them for any reason and would strongly advise anybody with a Mazda needing repairs or service, to go to another dealership. Honesty and trustworthiness are vitally important principles of any business. Mazda Twickenham has shown itself to be devoid of both.

Dreadful

Dreadful. Have purchased two brand new cars both of which had damage to door paint and had to be repaired before I even took ownership (didn’t think it could happen twice). Just taken car in for repair as adaptive full beam not working along dark county lanes. Was given a lesson in how to use my headlights by receptionist and told nothing was wrong with the lights even before car went to the workshop!! I wonder how on earth I’ve managed to drive my car for the last year and a half with successful lighting and know my full beam had ceased to work!!! I assume they think all female customers are stupid. They have done no repairs and say it’s working perfectly but there is no evidence of them taking it for a test drive in the pitch dark as even the light settings were wrong for adaptive lighting on return! Satnav has failed several times now but no repairs done just rebooted told to look and wait - I wonder if that is till after the warranty runs out. Garage seems to be getting worse. Shame there isn’t another nearby dealership.

Terrible experience trying to buy a car, avoid !

I just had a terrible experience with this Dealeship. I am interested on buying a Mazda3. I called and was directed to the "sales" department, I mentioned to Usman that I was interested in test driving specifically a Mazda3 with the SkyActivX engine and a manual transmission, he said that was no problem that he had a car with those characteristics and he will get it ready for me to test drive. I drove 1 hour and when I show up it turns out he had a 2018 used car, and a 2022 SkyActiv G car, which has a completely different engine, he didn't seem to know the difference and was only interested in the finance details rather than "Selling" the car, which I kindly pointed to him that first I need to make sure I want to buy the car, after I test drove it and then I was happy to discuss finance/pay. At the end I lost 2 hours, couldn't test drive the car I wanted, and unfortunately for them they lost an easy sale and a customer. I would advise to avoid this dealership as they behaved in a very unprofessional way wasting potential customer time, their sellers seem to be untrained and not familiar with the product, but what I find the worst is that there was no apology or any other way to rectify the issue. I ended up leaving as I decided I already wasted too much time, and I will pursue my business with other dealership from the network.

Until 3 months ago, I would've given 5 stars

Until 3 months ago, I would have given the dealership 5 stars. I am now unable to express my disappointment and disillusion enough. In May, I took my MX5 for MOT: I have Mazda Extended (ME) policy which I purchased myself and I had renewed before the MOT. I was also looking at whether to trade in. I was told there were faults in my car that while it wouldn't fail MOT this time, it would its next MOT and ME wouldn't cover. I was told these repairs would be £1800: a major factor in whether to trade in or not. I got an independent garage to give a quote for repairs: £800 and they said if it was needed , ME policy should cover. I rang ME, who said that as I already had a policy that covered me beyond my next MOT they would in all probability pay for repairs now: they advised me to go to another dealer and get a claim submitted. Rang MKG3000 and was told they would put claim in. I chased 3 times and was assured they were on it. I got my service reminder from MKG3000 this week. I then find out from ME that MKG3000 has never put in a claim. If they had when they said they would, I would have had the option of getting my policy refunded during the cooling off period if ME refused to pay. I no longer have that option and Mazda Customer Service say that ME may not pay out unless the parts have completely broken down. So it looks like I either have to wait for the car to break down ( unappealing to a lone woman driver ) or to pay for the repairs outside the warranty. So the £600 I spent on the warranty is potentially wasted: money I could have got back if MKG3000 had acted as they said they would in a timely fashion. But the biggest disappointment is to find that for 3 months they repeatedly misled me saying they were "chasing up" a claim that had never been submitted. A message asking the service manager ( who apparently should have submitted the claim) to ring me has been ignored and a promised call from the sales manager today failed to manifest. I bought the car second hand at a premium from this dealership in order to feel safe and be treated honestly: this was the case until now- the car's second MOT.
I had been planning to buy another MX5 next : as I no longer have confidence in this dealership and there isn't another in easy distance for me, I will have to rethink that plan.
Update: I have had an apology that "you didn't have the experience you expected" : that falls a bit short in my view of accepting and apologising for what was not done and my being misled
