I ordered from their website and received one wrong item, two covered in dirt and marks, & one nail polish bottle was shattered and leaked through the package. After talking to Customer Service twice... Mehr ansehen

Poor
Poor, bought a voucher they take your money but don’t let you spend it
Just popped into Mecca Balmain to look…
Just popped into Mecca Balmain to look at the My Terry eye palettes. I asked an assistant if they had it and she didn’t know which is fine but she asked someone else who completely dismissed the query saying “that was Christmas there gone” I politely said they are available online and other stores and she said “not here” and kept walking. It was so unfriendly and unhelpful. I walked out got an Uber into the city and spent my money where I felt welcome.
awful service
Christmas disaster!!
Ordered a gift online on the 15th of december, got a shipment email on the 22nd december following an email saying its been REFUNDED. ???
Misleading! Should have put it as out of stock or “we cant do our job and post it” so people’s hopes arent kept up!
Ridiculous, especially during christmas season. Could have easily just bought somewhere else if I had knew you guys are not able to do your job for online orders during christmas time. I get that its busy but then if you cant do it then say so instead of taking peoples money then refunding it a week later!
Not really worth 1 star
Not really worth 1 star. We ordered online only to have issues with our order. Even though we received our order number apparently it was on hold due to lack of information on our card. Yet you had no problem taking our money. Then wanted a copy of our bank statement our electricity bill and drivers license but then when we wanted to cancel the order we were unable. Now like others we have to wait for the outcome and our orders for xmas and our gifts may not be available to collect by Xmas...never again
Hourglass scattered glass
I bought product at the Subiac
The worst company to exist
The worst company to exist. Why does anyone but from mecca and make the owner richer for absolute nothing. Their hiring is awful, woth the young incompetent staff and rude managers. The foundations are second hand with anyone being able to return a foundation and then staff putting it back on the shelf to re-sell. I raised this with them and they said they check the bottle. How can you prove someone didn't use it if they did it precisely. They are dirty and unhygienic. Leaving mascaras out and anyone using them. Staff are absolute rude rude rude at absolutely any mecca store in Victoria. They think they are a high market brand when in fact they just sell other brands products. They don't stand for what mecca portays about being inclusive, in fact they are racist and I have heard with my own ears. They pretend they are busy when you walk in and ask for help. They stand around pouting their lips and checking themselves out in the mirror. Most don't have any knowledge about products and when you ask them a question they say they don't really know. Who hires these people and why? I would never waste another cent towards mecca. I will give my money to the individual brand as they have more offers and incentives.
No testers available
Went in to test foundation. No tester available and the sales assistant wouldn’t open a new one to make a tester. How am I supposed to purchase foundation if I can’t colour match?
So bad caused me so much stress so…
So bad caused me so much stress so unprofessional
Ordered product instore on 21st October…
Ordered product instore on 21st October and it’s 8 November still not here.
Just wasted my time and money.
Chadstone MUA LATE
Booked 2 x make up service at both chadstone locations and both make up artists WERE LATE WITH NO EXCUSE OR APOLOGIES. Makeup wasn't that great - I'm tanned and my face turned orange, and I was late for my event.
Poor service and ethics - don't be late if you're booked in. Fyi I booked this session 3 months in advance so they had plenty of notice.
Disgusting customer service online
Spent over $300 and signed up to Mecca. Neglected to tell me there is Beauty Loop offers and birthday gift. I didn’t receive any emails. When I queried them it was one day past my birthday and they just told me it was my fault and suck it up you get nothing.
Don’t waste your money on overpriced services from them.
Disgusting online customer service.
I absolutely love Mecca
I absolutely love Mecca. Firstly, I will start with my favourite product. Drunk Elephant Bronzi Drops with the Lala Retro cream. They are a perfect match and work together amazingly. One of the reasons I love the Lala Retro cream is because it has this amazing pump so you don’t have to put your fingers in the whole container. And one reason why I love the bronzi drops is because I am a little pale and I won’t wear slight tinted sunscreen moisturisers it just doesn’t work on my skin in general, so adding a little drop into your moisturiser is a game changer. So go now and buy your self some Drunk Elephant.
Obsessed
Obsessed and always will be. 5 star service every-time I visit any store.
I really really hate their beauty loop…
I really really hate their beauty loop gifts. so cheap, all they do is trying to promote their in-house brand and I got Kylie lip sample! The worst I could ever ask for!!!
Poor Instore Servive
Mecca has severely dropped service levels across all of their stores, staff are rude, staff are not properly trained in product and quite often relay incorrect product information. There is also contradictions between customer service online and in stores. I am not sure how it got so bad so quickly, but I will be avoiding future purchases from Mecca.
$250 order not sent after 10 days
Placed an order ten days ago and it’s still not dispatched, no response to online queries and when I called a couple of days ago the customer service representative told me it was “literally impossible” to cancel and refund my order despite it not having been packed. I was informed that I could return it for a refund when it eventually gets to me - if it ever will. I’m out of pocket $250, I feel completely scammed and considering raising a fraud investigation with my bank.
NARS bottle pump scam
Last time I bought NARS foundation I was severely disappointed as not even a fifth of the way through the bottle the pump stopped working. I wasn’t issued an emailed receipt and therefore couldn’t take it back as they wouldn’t accept a return even though it was faulty. This time I bought the same foundation (which had gone up in price - it’s now $80 instead of around $73) and the lady at the checkout at Mecca Chermside asked if I wanted a pump for my foundation and I said yes because my one at home that was broken wasn’t going to work. She then added $9 to my total??!! (Which I think is ridiculous for such a flimsy piece of plastic) Then when I got home and opened up my bag (I’d like to note there was not a single free sample like they used to) there was already a pump on the foundation bottle which came with it! She scammed me into buying a pump because she led me to believe that you had to buy it separately and that it would not come with it! I am always disappointed with Mecca since every time I shop they always try to upsell you and are not truthful. I won’t be shopping at Mecca again. Very very poor - consistently bad customer service and overpriced/inflated items.
Had ‘issues’ with their dispatch
Had ‘issues’ with their dispatch, no communication, 7 days and it is still at their warehouse. I had to call and then told apparently no way they could tell me when my package would arrive. They advised I purchase in store and refund my package when it does arrive as I need it by the weekend
Even one star is being generous
Where did it all go wrong for you Mecca?
Service…that’s where.
Walked into a wall of Mecca greeters at Murray Street Mall shop, looking for a new foundation colour match and a brow pencil.
Despite the deceptive welcome entry, couldn’t raise one of the Mecca cheer-squad to actually help.
I managed to wrangle one of them reluctantly.
The assistant looked SO bothered that I had to ask myself if I had accidentally asked a fellow customer to help me with my request instead of a Mecca staff member.
Her ‘service’ consisted of nothing more than one single smear of ‘albino white’ NARS foundation smudged against my obviously brown chin.
I then asked to try another option that might actually work on darker skin.
To my disappointment, but not my surprise, the completely disinterested ‘cosmetic specialist’ pointed at the tower of 400 NARS foundations and said..’over there, help yourself…I have to do something - sorry’
I was taken aback at the short shrift I received.
Unfortunately for Mecca, I was then forced to rummage through the NARS stock shelves on my hands and knees to find my own colour. It was like playing foundation Russian roulette.
So…sorry (not) about all that mess I might have made of your neatly arranged product storage shelves . But, hey, then again, I DONT WORK FOR MECCA.
I then had to do the same to obtain a Too Faced brow pencil. Sorry if I left that in a mess too. Oops!
When I got to the counter, I told the checkout assistant about the poor service. Mysteriously, I didn’t receive my receipt or review follow up that so religiously comes with it.
Mecca…You’ve become a Mecca of disastrous service
But not a Mecca of great cosmetics.
That’s for sure.
Completely Lost it.
Seriously Disappointed
I had purchased a Morphe brush earlier this year. No one advised at the time of purchase that the stick is made of wood and should not be dipped in water. I used this brush very few times and washed it 1st time along with ALL my other brushes of YEARS soaking in water. All other brushes (from different brands) came out perfect as always except for this Morphe brush. The stick has cracked throughout. When i took it to Mecca, i was expecting a "Sorry for the inconvenience caused" along with a replacement. None of this happened though!! Appreciate the advice now and will follow going forward that these brushes are not meant to be dipped in water however a replacement would have been nice. I am advised since it was purchased more than 6 months ago, it is outside policy and cannot be replaced now. These are not cheap brushes - pretty upset about this.
