Mavis Tire - Great Neck Bewertungen 

Extremely disappointing experience with this Mavis Store located at 200 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, NY 11021 and with subsequent follow up attempts. Call center reps were generally nice and friendly however.

Due to a system issue, the four Hankook Kinergy PT H737 tires I had purchased for $114.99 each and had an appointment to go in on August 29th, 2026 for were unavailable when I arrived. I was offered Blackhawk tires for $115.99 each and agreed, reasonably believing they were the Blackhawk IcePrey BW10 - the ONLY Blackhawk tire listed on Mavis’ website.

Instead, I was given old-stock Blackhawk Street-H HH01 tires that weren’t even listed on Mavis’ website. Afterward, I found the same tires selling for roughly $44 from a third party on Walmart, despite being sold them at $115.99 each. These tires by the way are far inferior to the Hankook I was originally scheduled to have installed at $114.99 each and so I reached out the same day to raise the issue and to see what could be done.

When I complained about this bait-and-switch tactic; Mavis’ only proposed solution was a price match which they probably already knew wouldn't go anywhere because they only honor a match against specific competitors and given how old this tire was, it was unlikely that any of them carried the four bait-and-switch tires installed.

When I continued to complain, they then escalated me to a regional manager, who contacted me on September 8 and promised an update the following day. That never happened. Customer service subsequently made six unsuccessful attempts to reach the regional manager, leaving voicemails each time.

Mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is substituting a substantially cheaper, old-stock tire without clearly disclosing what was being installed, then offering a “solution” that was impossible to use, and ultimately failing to follow through when the issue was escalated.

After years of giving Mavis my business and recommending them to others, this experience has completely changed my view of the company. I expected transparency and a reasonable effort to make things right. Instead, I got an expensive lesson in checking exactly what Mavis is putting on your car before you leave the store.

Refused to change the mistake for over one hour.
Stay away from Mavis Tire. Do not look a the the good reviews .

DANGER: Deceptive tactics!

Went in for an oil change and they said I needed a bunch of other things fixed. Turns out it was all lies.

They said I needed a new car battery. They even had a fake device to make it look like they “analyzed” my battery. I went to another more reputable mechanic and they said that was BS.

They said I needed new brake pads. Other mechanic said I had at least another 10,000 miles on them.

Maybe this is just expected experience with any auto mechanic, but save yourself the trouble from dealing with the lies here. I would give zero or negative stars if possible.

knowing my brake hose was leaking. i went there for a brake job. They use compression fittings on the brake line which is illegal to use on brake line, Not DOT approve, will fail inspection, not design for car braking system. Not to mention those caliber I got one in silver one in dark gray. Next day I went back for refund. Store manager said” we never charge you for those fittings” seriously? you put your customer life to risk free of charge ?
Compression fittings is like $10 from hardware stone. why would you upcharge so much and up sale me all other parts i probably don't even needed. Btw, they didn't say nothing on the other rusted brake hoses. thanks to unreliable shop. Now i have to go redo this job!
anyone can't resolve any issue with their management team should file complaint to DMV.

was there yesterday I call at advance no to wait much my call was to be there by 5pm what I did them after they attend Me toll me to seat at wait that was around 5:20pm After I wait until 7:30Pm my car never get the service I ask for it was 2 front tires aligment and check the brakes so I ask for my keys at left so why you take calls at advance if you don't have the personal to do the job waste my time with a bad really bad service...

Staff was polite and pleasant. They were able to get me in and out quickly.
