Having finally updated my 10yr old MacBook Air, most of the resale companies wouldn't even offer me a price on my old Mac. Macback offered me £85 based on my appraisal, so I thought that was better than nothing.
The process was easy and the courier arrived to collect on time. Simply place the Mac and charger in his padded box and it was done.
A couple of days later, I received an email from Macback informing my appraisal wasn't accurate. They advised that it was in better condition than I had stated and increased my offer to £100. 24hrs later it was sitting in my bank account.
What a breath of fresh air to deal with an ethical company. For the sake of a mere £15, I have told everyone I know that was willing to listen and made the effort to leave a positive review.

Received a £230+ valuation for my 10 year old (2015) iMac. Had been in perfect working order, so I graded it a B (in regular use until 2 weeks ago). DHL picked up just in the original box, with no additional packaging provided (unlike stated by Macback). They valued the Mac at £70 - graded at a D. Referred to something about "pink screen". If there was any fault with this Mac, it occurred in transit. Rejected the quote - rather give it away.

Excellent service, the pick up was prompt and the tracking excellent, the feedback on the item and condition was very quick as was the payment transfer. I would highly recommend the company it exceeded me expectations.

Broken Mac. Not worth much at all. But at least it’s been recycled and isn’t just sitting in a box under my bed anymore. Easy enough to do. Just needed to be in to hand over the Mac to the shipping people. Good service all round. Simple stuff.

This company is extremely efficient and they make the process of selling old equipment very easy. They are honest and reliable, they communicate well, and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Quoted £210 - which I thought was fair. Received an offer of £10 - a 95% reduction, based on faults it did not have when I sent it. Shameless.

I can see from other (less 'well-managed') Google reviews, that they do seem to pull the same trick - decent valuation, then BAM... £10 offer.

After I decided to part with my iMac I did some research of who might buy it from me.

After using one of the big companies quotation service, I was offered £40, so I turned to Macback, a sponsored link.

Reading their TrustPilot reviews they were positive and when I requested a quotation it was for so much more than the other quotes.

They let me select the date of collection (I was on holiday for a week) so this was fantastic, then was kept updated about what to do, as well as the collection.

The box and padding were provided by the courier and they took it from me.

The process could not have been easier.

I was then informed my quoted price was going to be sent in full as it matched my description and the money arrived in my account later the same day.

I came across MacBack by accident after Apple gave me a recycling offer on my Mac of £0. My initial offer of £275 was reduced to £175 but this was my fault by selecting the wrong processor/processor speed at beginning of application. These guys were very professional and paid up on the same day. Take note of this before you rely on Apple for a price.

Traded in my old iMAC. Didn’t have the box anymore. I reset it to factory settings. Then MACBACK sent a packing box by DPD, and when it was delivered they also boxed up my iMac and then took it away to send back. Easy and convenient. Received what I was quoted - probably could have got slightly more if sold privately, but this was easier and I’m happy, and I didn’t have to pay for DPD (and older iMacs are heavy!) Would recommend for ease.

I had a bad first impression at first:
Two iMacs picked up on Oct 25 were misquoted; the value dropped from £900 to £330 due to mix-ups. Despite promises to fix it, I’ve had no update for a week. Poor first impression, 2 stars until resolved.
