Trip to Bath

I booked the day trip to Bath as a 40th wedding anniversary present to my sister and brother-in law. A few minutes into our journey we were asked if we would swap with a family who were on a coupe as one of them was claustrophobic. I was so glad we said yes as it made the journey even more special. The whole experience and ambience was everything we were told it would be. The staff go above and beyond and we were treated like royalty. We had never been to Bath before and I would certainly go back.

I loved the whole experience that I’m putting a trip to Highclere Castle on my list of things to do, hopefully next year.

What a truly wonderful experience. From arrival at Victoria with complimentary soft drinks to the greeting on the train by the stewards and stewardess. Adam our train manager greeted us all and checked we were happy. The staff in our carriage couldn't have done anything more to make our experience excellent. The food was excellent for brunch & dinner.
I would say it could have been explained more clearly the significance of the ticket number on our tables. These denoted which coach number you were on for the excursion and group for the tour of Highclere. Some people thought by jumping on coach 1 you had the 1st tour. Wrong. We're split into smaller manageable groups and do a different circuit around Highclere so you're not on top of each other.
My wife and I will be re booking as it's a wonderful experience and great to be pampered whilst on the train.

On Saturday 17th June travelled on the Northern Belle from Leeds to Carlisle/Settle. It was a gift from our family for our 70th birthdays. It was a wonderful experience. Excellent in every way. Staff were exceptional, luxury travel, wonderful food and beautiful scenery as well as great entertainment from magician and musicians. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

The service is just as promised with excellent personal service from all members of staff . The food is something you only dream of and the whole atmosphere ensures that this trip is a memorable occasion. The contact I have had from the backroom staff has also been great .Helpful and prompt advice and replies to emails .

I wish I could write a review better than this as Lucy was great in contacting and went the extra mile for us to spend a night on the Orient Express. Unfortunately the Orient Express is not all is it cracked up to be with the added problem that it would not go directly to Rome as the line was being overhauled, not the fault of the company though (had to be diverted to Florence to wait for 2 hours with no seating arrangements before being boarded onto a Club class train to Rome!! We were taken to our apartment in Rome by courtesy car and were given a cancellation and re-book option, but that was not an option for us as we had booked pre and post stays). HOWEVER their brief states that your journey will take you through the wonderful sights of the Swiss countryside - we went through in the dark!!! One meal was not up to standard together with a food dislike request faux pas was not acceptable. Even though the staff on board were attentive IT IS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Think twice before booking, if you are OK with spending time in a cabin in which you cannot swing a cat and no private loo then go ahead.

The whole ambience of your day from the moment you arrive at Victoria Station to the moment you leave the train is truly magical. You are treated by everyone with politeness, respect and thoughtfulness. This was not our first trip and will hopefully not be our last. A special occasion, in this case for us our 40th wedding anniversary, deserves special day and we were not disappointed. Thank you

We had an amazing day on the Belmond train immersive murder mystery. The 6 course meal was delicious and the service from our carriage team was excellent. All the actors were brilliant fun and got everyone engaged in the plot. Would thoroughly recommend this experience - although not cheap!

Unexpected destination and journey with on-board entertainment. Compatible companions and delicious food. Attentive staff to aid me with mobility issues. Impressive decor and table placings. Enjoyed an extra good view due to the rail strike reducing passing trains!

An amazing experience- well worth the money for a special occasion. The train journey was beyond my expectations and I was initially reluctant due to financial considerations- but- it m pleased we went forward with it for my partners 60th. The company who arranged this were very efficient and professional.

What a fantastic day out! From start to finish, this truly was an amazing day out. We travelled from London Victoria to Bath. The booking was very easy and all queries were answered when deciding what to do and where to go. The communication was excellent throughout. After a stressful few days leading up to it, we really did relax once we boarded the train. The food and drink was delicious and the service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble.
Have recommended to friends and would definitely go again given the opportunity.

Really 4+*. We travelled from Chesterfield to Edinburgh on the Northern Belle, including the option to visit the Royal Yacht. I originally booked from Manchester (which would have required at least one overnight stop), but an extra trip starting from Sheffield was made available and I was very pleased to be allowed to swap my booking to celebrate my wife's 80th. At a later date the Sheffield start was switched to Chesterfield, but this was relatively minor inconvenience. The trip was very good, with extra free champagne as the date coincided with the Coronation. We have travelled on one of these trips before and the only comment would be that the food was not quite five star this time, hence the small reduction to 4+.

I booked the train journey for my husband's 60th birthday and it didn't disappoint. The train carriage was beautifully restored and comfortable. The meal and wines were very good. We will definitely be booking again.

I booked this as a birthday present, the whole experience was fantastic, my wife was blown away by the carriage interior, the staff were amazing and our glass was never empty, the food was fantastic. I know the trip is expensive, but, worth every penny. Sarah and Fatima were fantastic and all the staff do a fantastic job of making sure the whole day was a memory maker. Thank you.

We booked the Murder Mystery Lunch as a surprise for my mum's birthday and we all had a fantastic and truly wonderful experience. Our stewards Fatima and Andel were so attentive and friendly, and the actors were brilliant! The food and service onboard was spectacular. Sergio and Lucy from Luxury Train Tickets answered all my questions prior to booking and were very helpful. My only thing to point out was that Luxury Train Tickets advertised the experience on their website as set in the1920s, whereas once we got there we realised the murder mystery was set in the 1950s. However, this did not spoil our day in any way, we still had a fantastic day and enjoyed dressing up in 1920's fashion, even if we were a few decades out! We hope to do another experience like this again.

A truly fantastic day to La Manoir. From start to finish it was pure luxury all the way. Carol at Luxury Trains was extremely helpful and went over and beyond to help and make our day special for my sons birthday.
