Delighted with the decision to use LoftPlan for our loft conversion, from start to finish the process was handled with professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

LoftPlan managed every aspect of the project, from planning to the final build. They arranged the architect and recommended a brilliant planning company, who were invaluable when unforeseen issues with local planning arose. They also coordinated building control sign-off making this process seamless and stress-free.
One of the standout aspects was having a constant point of contact available in the office (Nicola). Her efficient, friendly, and diplomatic approach made all the difference. She was consistently just fantastic, always ready to provide reassurance and guidance, which was invaluable during such a significant project.

The build itself went exceptionally well. Every tradesperson who came to our home was polite, respectful, and kept the home tidy. The scaffolders were particularly impressive, handling neighbour queries politely and proactively. Despite numerous obstacles like a heatwave, nervous dogs, and tricky access, all the builders and labourers worked tirelessly and with good humour.

The internal fitters, plumbers, and electricians all worked to our specifications, adapting to the challenging internal layout we have (hello Victorian death stairs). Special mention goes to Mike, whose skill and craftsmanship in fitting the new staircase and bannisters was exceptional. The roofers also deserve recognition for their incredible effort in completing the slate tiling of multiple pitched dormers beautifully during a heatwave, all while meeting the deadline.

While a few issues naturally arose—eg a roof leak during an unexpected rainstorm and an incorrect trim fitted by mistake—these were promptly addressed and resolved without any fuss. Having Bob as the site manager was a great comfort, as he was always available to discuss fittings and ensure everything ran smoothly.

Even arranging the initial quote was straightforward and stress-free compared to others. If we ever moved and needed another loft conversion, I would choose LoftPlan again without hesitation.
I admit I underestimated the stress of living through months of building work at home slightly but their hard-working team, great organisation, and exceptional customer service with good humour made the experience a pleasure. Highly recommend!

Loftplan has been excellent throughout the entire building processing; Good communication from office manager (Nicola), on site supervisor (Warren) and
friendly and skilled builders (Martin, Mike, Jad etc). For anyone are looking for a loft conversion company, I highly recommend Loftplan for good quality and keep on budget.

We initially contacted Loftplan in April of this year and by early June they were on sight and had started. They finished in September and we couldn’t be happier with our loft conversion. Jim and Brad were the first team on site and did a fantastic job of building the dormer frame at the back of the house. It was amazing how quickly they worked to get the frame up, and the new flat roof on, making sure it was very quickly watertight.

We then worked with our project manager Bob to decide exactly how we wanted the space divided. It was really great to do this once we were actually stood in the space, as before we found it hard to visualise. This way of working allowed us the freedom to adapt the initial plans, enabling us to divide the space into two bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom.

All the different teams, doing the various stages of work were, polite, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable in their craft. Shaun was our end carpenter and he did a particularly good job of our oak banisters from the ground floor, all the way to the loft.

The way you pay for the work is good too. Each area of work is divided up, so you pay different amounts for different stages of the project. It meant that at each stage, we could see where our money was going, and never felt we had paid ahead too far and not had anything to show for it.

Once we moved in to the new space and started using it, we spotted a couple of small snagging things and Loftplan were quick to return and rectify those for us. We’ve ended up with exactly the space we wanted and would recommend Loftplan if you are looking to have a loft conversion.

We chose Loft Plan for our loft conversion because they offered a complete start-to-finish service, covering everything from design through to the finishing touches, which allowed us to avoid the hassle of coordinating multiple contractors. We only needed to arrange a tiler for the bathroom and supply our chosen bathroom fittings, as Loft Plan handled all other aspects.

Throughout the project, all the tradesmen from Loft Plan were polite and professional, from the initial scaffolders to the carpenter handling the final details. We experienced minimal disruption to our daily life and were able to continue living in the house while work was underway. The structural work was accessed from the scaffolding initially, with only minimal intrusion into our living space when it was time to install the stairs. Even after the work moved into the house, we managed to maintain our normal routine with little disturbance.

Having Bob, our dedicated project supervisor, made the process much easier. He was responsive to our design choices, and the team worked hard to bring our vision to life.

Overall, I would recommend Loft Plan for anyone considering a loft conversion, especially if you want to continue living in your home during the project and prefer not to manage the project yourself.

We had quite a complex requirement as we needed an old loft conversion stripped out and replaced with a new one, and it is a very large space. We got a few quotes but we liked Loftplan's design and their 'can do' attitude.

When we agreed on the contract they got started immediately and handled all of the planning. Work started as soon as the consent came through. The first fix team of Leigh and Jordan were lovely, they were very conscientious and always happy to help and advise. It's a bit stressful having work done, quite noisy and messy, but they did their best to make it as smooth as possible. The second fix carpenter Mike did an amazing job, he is a real craftsman.

We had one or two issues, mostly with the roof, but they were sorted out in the end. The result is fantastic, we are very pleased with our new space. In fact, I couldn't be happier with it.

The whole experience was relatively painless considering the large scope of the work, and so I would wholeheartedly recommend Loftplan to anyone thinking of getting a loft conversion.

Both Dean and Dave who worked on the dormer and carried out the bulk of the work were polite and considerate and always available for any questions. Their professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality work was evident. If you get them you’ll be extremely fortunate.

As the build progressed different teams were mobilised and the experience continued, from Kevin’s plastering team who worked tirelessly with such speed and perfection, through to Jake and his team with the electrics who was always responsive and went above and beyond. I also have to give a special mention to Mark who did all the second fix and again very skilled and experienced and did a sublime job. Nicola at the office was always to hand to help resolve any queries and was a delight to deal with, always organised with a quick turnaround.

Of course, every build has its ups and down and this is where Bob who oversaw the build from start to finish was always to hand and over the period of time we built up a great relationship. He has a wealth of building experience and always available and had a pragmatic approach to resolving things which in the end was a huge relief.

The whole team were brilliant, from the initial quote, through design, build, first and second fix and snagging. Could not fault them, always happy and professional. The extra room is great, we are really thrilled.

We recently had Loftplan complete a loft conversion project for our new-build home, and the result is fantastic. They created two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom that have completely transformed our space. From the start, Alan from the sales team and the on-site workers, particularly Dean and Dave, were friendly, helpful, and patient, adapting the design to meet our specific needs.

One of the standout aspects of the project was their flexibility. We went through numerous design revisions, even during construction, and Loftplan was always accommodating, incorporating our latest ideas without hesitation. They truly worked with us to bring our vision to life.

A particular challenge we faced was incorporating an in-roof solar panel system on the side where we wanted to add Velux windows. Despite not being solar panel experts, the Loftplan team worked closely with our PV contractor to come up with a beautiful solution—two stunning Velux windows perfectly integrated with the surrounding panels.

Although the on-site work was planned for three months (Sep-Dec 2023), it extended into mid-February 2024 due to various factors. Thankfully, this is something we knew could happen in this industry. Throughout the project, Loftplan kept us well-informed at each stage, so we were never left in the dark or overly concerned.

Overall, Loftplan did a great job, and we’re very pleased with the outcome!

Would definitely recommend Loftplan. Our loft was completed spring 2024. Excellent standard of work, all staff were polite and friendly, communication was very good. We had a delay mid-build due to the availability of our gas engineer doing necessary work with our boiler and tank, Loftplan were completely flexible in pausing work around this and then had a team back on the job as soon as we were ready to progress again. Flagged a couple of niggles after the build was finished, they had people round straight away to sort them. Would work with Loftplan again for sure.

We had a Loftplan conversion in 2004 which made such a difference to our living space.
We needed to enhance what we already had, making use of the changes to planning rules, to enhance the space - and Loftplan came up trumps with a brilliant plan. The workmanship and friendliness of all of their team made it an easy and painless process.

After umming and aah-ing over whether to try and move or go up into the loft because we were bursting at the seams, we are so glad we got Loftplan in to show us what could be possible with the loft space and how simple things like stair placement would work. The space we've gained is more than we hoped. From start to finish everyone involved with the project from Loftplan, their contractors and their recommended tradespeople have been excellent and considerate. It's not easy to do a big job like this when your client works from home most days, has 2 curious schoolboys under your feet and the property is away from the road with no rear access! The project has breathed new life into the house. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Loftplan has just finished a L-shaped dormer conversion adding two bedrooms and an ensuite bathroom in Winchester.
The final result is really impressive! The attention to details is amazing; for example, they matched the new stair posts and spindles to the existing ones, resulting in a seamless transition between floors...it looks like the extension has always been part of this Edwardian terraced house.
The workmen were very capable, polite, friendly and helpful, they even washed their mugs at the end of the day! The neighbours commented on how polite they were, considerate in the noise they made and the language they used.
A special mention should go to the building team: Jordan, Barnaby, Warren and Lee, who dealt with the most physical part of the job, and were genuinely very nice people to have around.
The only note we have is the time it all took: we were advised it would take 12 weeks (with a bit of flexibility) and it ended up being 19 weeks, even though we made quick decisions on our side. The building part was very quick, but the second fix was much slower than expected. However, the communication throughout was very good (thank you Nicola from the office), and the final product is so outstanding (Mark the carpenter in particular was brilliant!) that we didn't mind too much.
Overall, we felt very confident in the skills of the whole team and we would recommend Loftplan.

Loftplan have been fantastic throughout the entire build. Everyone who works for the company has been polite, helpful and most importantly excellent at what they do. It is their expertise and craft that makes Loftplan so good. An example is the clever design of the stairs resulting in a beautiful and open first floor landing which does not feel cramp. The loft looks and feels like a natural extension of the house and they even tracked down our existing cladding so they could match it on the dormers. Loftplan worked with us and acted as a trusted partner throughout.
