"Exceptional Loft Conversion Experience’’
We recently had our loft converted into a master bedroom with a pitched roof dormer and en-suite bathroom by Loftplan, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
Our decision to choose Loftplan was influenced by a recommendation from a neighbour and the company's impressive 30-year track record in loft conversions.
From the outset, the design process was clear and collaborative. The planning application was handled efficiently, and the first fix team (Chris & Elliot) were personable, skillful and worked very hard throughout the first phase of the build.
Throughout the project, our dedicated project supervisor (Warren) kept us informed and was always available to address any questions or concerns. His presence on-site ensured that the project progressed seamlessly from start to finish.
Converting a loft involves coordination among various trades, and the whole Loftplan team made the entire process straightforward. What stood out most was their unwavering attention to detail, professionalism, and consistent communication. We are absolutely delighted with our new space and would not hesitate to recommend Loftplan to anyone considering a loft conversion.

Loftplan came to us recommended by multiple people in our local area. Alan came to visit, review our requirements and come up with a plan to make the best use of space, it's fair to say we certainly couldn't have maximized our space any more, and at a reasonable price. With plans submitted and approved things moved apace without delay. John and Chris did the vast majority of the structural work and were a pleasure to deal with, happy to take my many questions. One of my main concerns had been leaks in the roof during construction but despite autumn weather we had zero leaks. Work progressed quickly, considering about 80% of our roof was changed and dormers built in about 8 weeks. Stairs and second fix all went well, we did have issues with our water tank arrangements which necessitated some changes to our original layout plan but these were solved promptly. Throughout the process Bob was always available to take questions and was always responsive. Incredibly happy with the final result, we've managed to add 2 bedrooms, a shower room and an office in a previous dead space, I should add as well that the workmanship has been excellent. Over the course of the build we probably encountered 12 or so different tradespeople from loftplan and all were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

8 years ago we took the plunge and asked Loftplan to convert our loft into a double bedroom with en suite. They did an amazing job and we loved it so much that we recently employed them again to add another room to the other side of the roof. Loftplan are professional, efficient and great value. All of their staff and contractors are polite hard working and incredibly good at what they do. I will use them again if i ever need another loft conversion

We recently had our loft space converted into a stunning upstairs bedroom, complete with an en suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe space, and we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. The quality of the work carried out by Loftplan has been exceptional from beginning to end.

Every member of the team has been courteous, punctual, and highly skilled in their respective areas of expertise. A heartfelt thank you goes to Craig and Neil, whose workmanship and professionalism were outstanding—both are genuinely top gentlemen who take great pride in their craft. Jim and Dan also deserve special recognition for their reliability and tireless work ethic; they were consistently on time and worked incredibly hard throughout the project.

Shaun’s flexibility and meticulous attention to detail were invaluable, ensuring that every aspect of the build was completed to the highest standard. We are also extremely grateful to Bob, our project manager, who was always available to answer questions and provide support. His dedication and genuine care for the quality of the job were evident at every stage.

A special mention must also go to Jase, the tiler, who worked tirelessly and with such dedication and care that it was truly inspiring. His craftsmanship has added a beautiful finishing touch to the space.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the many other wonderful individuals who contributed to the project, including Darius, Craig, Ron, the scaffolding team, and many more. Their efforts helped make what could have been a stressful six months of disruption into an exciting and rewarding experience.

If you are currently considering Loftplan alongside other providers, we can confidently say that we went through the same decision-making process and are absolutely delighted that we chose Loftplan. I had a really good experience with Loftplan. Professional craftsmen at every stage. I now have a beautiful room, complete with ensuite and storage in a space that previously was wasted. I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to others considering a loft conversion.

Good quality tradesman, good communication, and a good product in the end

We had our loft converted by Loftplan and we were delighted with the whole process. We chose Loftplan because they had come highly recommended by two neighbours, who were equally happy with their conversions.

Loftplan's designer listened to our aims for our conversion and helped us maximise the space we had available. He designed us two big amazing bedrooms for our daughters who absolutely love their new rooms and managed to fit a decent sized bathroom in the space too. The access to their rooms looks like it was always meant to be there!

Our two main builders, Dean and Dave, were simply brilliant. They were really professional, friendly, considerate, and always tidied up at the end of the day. The quality of their work was excellent, and had fantastic attention to detail. They were happy to answer questions and to show us progress as it was happening. The new space seemed to go up so quickly and there was visible progress every day. They involved us in the changes that occurred as the building progressed, and we are really happy with our conversion. It has transformed our family home.

We would happily recommend Loftplan to anyone considering having their loft converted.

From start to finish, the team who worked on our loft conversion were fantastic. Every contractor who came into our home felt like a real expert in their field. They offered helpful advice throughout and always checked in before making any changes, giving me the chance to make decisions that worked for us.

Dean and Dave who made the structure were brilliant - friendly, tidy, and so discreet that, noise aside, I often forgot they were even there. With a three-year-old at home, I was amazed at how little the work disrupted our lives until the stairs went in, three quarters of the way through the build. Once they were installed, in just two days, we suddenly had a whole new upstairs.

Our project supervisor, Warren, was brilliant - regularly on-site, easy to contact, and incredibly knowledgeable thanks to his previous hands-on experience.

Everyone was courteous and made a real effort to clean up after themselves every day, which made a huge difference.

My only criticism was with the admin process - once the initial drawings were done, it wasn’t possible to make formal changes. That led to a couple of moments where decisions had to be made quickly on-site, which felt a little pressured (others might not mind the 'go with the flow' approach). That said, the team were responsive and accommodating, and the end result is something I love.

I cannot fault the quality of the work or the people involved. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I can highly recommend Loftplan. From start to finish they were professional, friendly and polite. We were kept informed at all stages of the build by Warren the work supervisor. All the tradesmen were punctual and completed their work to a very high standard. We are very pleased with our new loft space.

Loftplan were an excellent company from start to finish. They helped with our design and their attention to detail was fantastic. Josh and Riley were the nicest, clean builders we have ever had. The end result is wonderful and very sympathetic for our 100 year old house - it looks as if it was always there.

We first engaged with Loftplan back in early 2024 where we met Nick, who understood our requirements and what we were hoping for (which was inbound 3rd child and the desire for a 'hotel suite'), we spoke with several companies but Nick seemed to get what we wanted more than anyone else, he proposed ideas no one else did, and ultimately won us over.

Being in an area with no permitted development Kyle the architect was able to navigate our strict planning rules and get us the outcome we wanted. Work began on the raniest day of the year with the scaffolders getting the front and rear scaffolds up in scuba diving conditions.

Our 1st fix team were Dean and Dave, they were professional, masters of their craft, and left nothing to chance. They genuinely made the engagement personal, rather than just a service being provided. Both of them not only carried out their work but were also able to translate what we wanted into other teams and made sure we got what we wanted. Both of them are amazing.

Our boiler and water tank were relocated to the new loft bathroom in two days. Jake and Tom, the electricians worked closely with us on where we wanted sockets, lighting, and accessories and again their team work with Dean and Dave meant we were always looked after and got the results needed.

We also had to remove then reinstall our solar panels, Loftplan worked closely with that 3rd party organisation to ensure work was aligned and that they were reinstalled without issue. Bob oversaw the whole project, giving us access to excellent, skilled people. Keeping things on track and also being flexible around us when we needed space like half term with three kids running about, Bob was always responsive with texts and calls.

Mike dealt with our 2nd fix work, his skill meant that the new stairs, skirtings, architraves, looked no different to the existing ones and somehow made it look exactly the same including some tricky finishes which our stairs had. Mike cladded the rear of our dormer with Pine, which looks incredible and is keeping with the area we live. All of these people our entire family loved having around, on some occasions when we needed to be in the loft for decisions, they even baby sat! We asked for a hotel suite, we have one and it is incredible.

Having been nervous about having so many work boots traipsing through the house, worried about dust and destruction, I have to say I became very fond of the guys at Loftplan.
This respectful, friendly team started with Nic who went through the design process with us. Scaffolders who were prompt to remodel and move scaffolding for us, due to a minor access issue we had. Bob our foreman kept us informed throughout the process of our loft conversion and was our main contact to make it happen. Grant, Ed, Chris and Jay were happy to show us the loft as it developed and walk us through how it would look and be insulated, as it evolved. They worked like trogons in the heat of the summer and we were very impressed with the work they did forming the dormer and mixing this in with our existing room. They created a beautiful space for our family🤗.
There were times where work would slow between jobs, but this gave us days off to reorganise ourselves.
The stages of first fix forming the space, Elliot who helped with stairs, plasterers, Percy, Ian and their team, second fix Mike who crafted some lovely wooden stair features, plumbers Darius, Craig, Jamie and Dominic who created a lovely bathroom for us. Roofers Steven, his brother and work mate who sealed in the existing roof nicely, to the new dormer and made the panelling on the new roof compliment with the original roof, and electricians Ron and Graham who made our home safe with fire protection and beautiful lighting options.
We had one issue related to plumbing but this was kindly addressed very quickly, on a Sunday (Darius) and any repairs were kindly arranged with Bob at Loftplan. Dean who signed off the work.
The craftsmanship and efforts of these lovely chaps and the ladies in the office (Nicola and Alisha) have shown that the professional team at Loftplan will give you a beautiful, warm space in your home.
You may need to be patient at times, between fixes, but the end result is totally worth it. Thank you to a lovely team, we are very grateful for your efforts and craftsmanship.
We love our loft!!

From the beginning, Nic and Nicola were very professional and personable which made us choose Loftplan to work with. Ritchie and Reece did a phenomenal job in building the structure as their skills, craftsmanship and expertise were demonstrated second to none; they were patient and respectful and we completely enjoyed working with them. Shaun (our joiner/2nd fixer), Jerrard and Ed (our plumbers), Ron (our electrician), the fantastic team of plasterers as well as the team from Quenchfire, and Nick (our tiler) were superb and did amazing work!
Yes, we have had few challenges to manage and navigate but for every step of the way Bob was there to lead, guide and advise. With Bob, we were able to find solutions, especially in times when he so ably represented our concerns and needs to his senior management team. We are most delighted and joyful about our converted loft space and have already recommended Loftplan to neighbours and strangers who have inquired. Loftplan are for us an excellent company to build your loft!

So pleased with the loft conversion, going to make a huge difference to family life.

Loftplan have just finished our loft and we are thrilled. It looks fantastic and makes such a difference to our home. The whole has been so smooth and easy (for us). We were kept in the loop and any issues (minimal) were dealt with quickly and the team were always available to give lots of support and advice.

The whole team were fantastic but we have to give a special mention to Harry and Joe, they worked hard to get structure done before Christmas and were always happy and approachable, keeping us informed on what they had done and what was coming next.

Our only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner. Thank you Loftplan!

We were very happy with Loft Plan and would recommended them to a friend.

From start to finish the whole process was very smooth, the works went over the Christmas Period so there was a little pause in the works but this was understandable and Loft Plan made sure that they finished at the end of a stage so everything was left tidy while Christmas occurred.

There was a little delay getting back to it after Christmas as the stairs weren't quite ready, but once they were ready all the next stages happened quickly and efficiently.

Bob was great, made sure everything was done efficiently and kept all the different teams on target.

We are extremely happy with our loft conversion and cant to start using it.

We have just had our loft conversion completed through Loftplan and we are very happy with the outcome. As a family, we desperately needed more space and were left with the dilemma - move or improve. We chose to improve and we don't regret that decision one bit.
From start to finish, in what was a large project to us as a family, the process was made easy. From the initial consultation with Nic, we were guided through the project and kept well informed by Nicola. We’d like to thank all the team for all your hard work, the outcome with an additional two bedrooms and en-suite has made a huge difference to all of us. More space, bedrooms, storage, everything we needed.
