I ordered some pond plants for my children to plant in our new wildlife pond. I paid £2 more per plant for them to be potted (as opposed to bare root). They arrived in normal cheap plant pots that, on checking with the company, are not suitable to putting in the pond. The listing description gave no mention that the potted pond plants would not be potted in pond plant pots. I am not sure what I paid £2 more per plant for? Why on earth would you sell a potted pond plant in a pot that isn’t suitable for ponds, but charge £2 more per plant for this? As I am left with the same result as bare root given I now have to buy additional pond plant pots and compost.
This is in itself may be a small thing to complain about, but what upset me more was the total lack of interest from the company. I am still waiting for the promised contact from a manager but have clearly been ignored.

Dead plants delivered, I ordered 2 plants from this company. When received them one was like mulch where the other one looked ok but to be honest it was just 3 little leafs. I have just received my replacement plant and once again it’s terrible quality. Also my 3 leaf plant is starting to die only after having it for 3 days. I ended up going to an aquatic shop and buying them there. Much better and bigger and half the price. Sorry I wouldn’t recommend yous as I don’t think delivering so little plants in a box works. So that was just a waste of my time and money.

orders a selection of plants, one had a snapped stem on delivery, a replacement was arranged. overall plant quality was average to very good. but the plants didn't always arrive with 'live plants' label, and had a substantial amount of plastic to pad the box out. other plant reseller are available that sell quality plantsand use cardbord or paper padding, other reseller was also better packaged overall.

I was very excited to order from this company for my new pond. A week ago I received my delivery. All the plants were dead. Literally two were rotten bags of slime. I have since called and emailed several times providing clear photographic evidence. It took them a week to reply. When they did their response was hostile and I am having to fight for a refund. Awful quality plants and appalling customer service. Will not be ordering again.

Well, further to previous review.... part of my first order and most of my second order eventually arrived. Refund for two missing items off second order. Was told my first order had been delivered and proof of delivery was attached (it wasn't). Queried further and suddenly it's been lost in transit or, more likely, never sent at all. Advised refund had been raised. Queried whether this would include refund on shipping and received refund notification from Paypal for half the shipping cost. I have yet to receive a refund notification for the missing plants. I have pointed out to them that as they have had my money since last year and with all the issues the very least I would have expected was a refund for missing plants and a full refund of shipping. Shipping was expensive for me and, as others have pointed out, these plants are sent in plastic bags NOT 9cm - 3ltr pots. And the quality is pretty poor. The standard response - due to being very busy, etc, followed by what felt like a 'template' reply was disappointing. Never mind, from the reviews they won't be too busy to answer emails properly in future! Needless to say I won't be using again.

Excellent customer service. I ordered a product via amazon and when the plant arrived it had black and brown areas on the leaves. I emailed the company with a picture and without any questions or quibble they sent a replacement. I will use this company again, they earned and deserve my business.

Excellent patio pond kit for the money fun and easy to set up. Just waiting to see how it does now

Plants arrived on time, well packed and in good condition.

I wish I had checked the reviews before I ordered. I placed a small order for some pond plants including oxygenating weed. Everything on the website looked great so I had high expectations. I received notification that the plants had been despatched however when they didn't arrive 48 hours later I emailed the company to say that they hadn't come. I received a response apologising and explaining that the items had not yet been sent but the despatch emails are triggered when they print the labels. I finally received notification that the order had been sent on a Friday which meant a weekend in transit for delicate pond plants. They arrived on the Monday and I was hugely disappointed. The oxygenating weed was black and hard with just 3 very small green areas showing. The frogbit had all turned brown and slimey and all of the leaves had detached from the Water Soldier when I opened it and it stank. Everything went straight into the Green waste! I won't be ordering again.

Very disappointed with Lincolnshire Pond Plants. Was my first order for a load of oxygenators and lilys.

All very small and sad looking. The oxygenators (£50) arrived black, rotten and measly in size. Couldn’t quite believe a member of staff would ship that to a customer. They were so small.

I will be sticking with Devon Pond plants in the future. No comparison when it comes to qaulity and plant health (based on this experience).

When I complained Oliver was apologetic and sorted a refund promptly which I appreciated.

Shockingly bad. I ordered15 alstroemeria in October, advertised as 9cm. In May and hey spontaneously cancelled 10 of them and sent the remaining 5 “9cm” plants as a small plastic bag with what turned out to be roots inside. There were no instructions of any sort and the bag also said 9cms. When I rang them they couldn’t have cared less and said what it meant was that the roots had been grown in a 9 cm pot. I had no idea what to do with them and in any event when I opened the bag there were just broken pieces inside it.
Maybe they are good with aquatic plants but they don’t have a clue with garden plants

Lincolnshire pond plants , are a fantastic company, web sites very easy to use , the products are always great quality and very quick to deliver. You also get confirmation emails too. Really recommend using them.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. The quality of plants I received was appalling. A barely acceptable marigold, a water hyacinth that initially I thought was just a lump of mud but eventually uncovered a very small bulb and weedy shoot and 2 selections of oxygenating weed which were an absolute joke. Half the order was missing. Received a week after ordering despite supposedly sent on 48 hour delivery. Not what I would expect from a company that has received a Chelsea gold medal. I’ve asked for a full refund - we’ll see if their customer service is any better than their plants. I don’t hold out a great deal of hope given the comments of others. Based on my experience stay well clear.

I am so impressed how good quality is my tank plant🤍🤍🤍definitely recommend this company for all the plants they have. Very good packaging, safe stored for the transport. The plant is alive and looks super good.

Just ordered plants for the second time from Linc Plants. This time there was some confusion over delivery times, but this was very quickly resolved by their staff and the plants arrived in tip top shape. Well done them also for winning a gold at Chelsea.

Pathetic perennials part 3.

See my previous review for details. As noted on 29 May I re-sent (more than once) my previous emails to them, as requested in their response to this review - they haven't bothered to reply. Clearly a standard response from them to complaints, with no intention of actually considering customer concerns.

A disappointing experience particularly with after sales. I purchased 3 products through Amazon. The delivery date came and went, when I tracked the package it had not yet been received by Royal Mail despite being advised it had been despatched. Had to chase to find out it would be sent out soon...Finally arrived but only one of the three items ordered had been delivered. Long winded process to get short delivery claim accepted, and had to wait another few days for my order to be completed. One of the items was a four pack of potted marginal plants, and one of the pots contained two very small stems of the plant-very expensive for such a small plant. I followed the instructions re placing the pots in my pond. After a week the very small plant had died, the stems were rotting at the soil level. I raised this problem with the company and over the course of two weeks had daily communications through the Amazon website to try and resolve the issue. This company's customer services were determined not to offer either a refund for the one plant or a replacement, and just kept fobbing me off. I would not recommend purchasing from them as they profess to offer high quality products and exceptional service, both of which have been distinctly lacking in my experience.
