Incorrect information regarding closing time
I don’t understand why I can’t get to the shop at 3:50 if it closes at 4pm?!
If the closing time is 4 than I should be able to get in even at 3:58
Or you have to write closing time 3:50

Today I was served at the till by a lovely chap called Stewart, Friar Park Wedesbury Branch.
I have recently put the Lidl app unto my phone and he explained things and helped me through it as I paid.
He was courteous to all the customers.
An asset to the company.

Don’t buy fresh fruit…total waste of money.
Two weeks ago I bought two punnets of ripen at home plums. I followed the instructions to place them in a fruit bowl to help them ripen. So, going into week 3 of having them they are still rock hard but also starting to shrivel so totally inedible.
The bananas on the other hand are ripening before you have the chance to eat them. I bought two slightly under ripe bananas and two hours later parts of them had turned to black mush!
Good value
I always feel that I’m getting value for money, knowing that Lidl is a discount supermarket. I’m impressed by the range and quality of fresh produce; however, I’m not impressed by items that are normally stocked suddenly not being there. The eclectic display of non-grocery items is a mystery and most are overpriced. But for groceries it’s still the most economical place to shop.
An enjoyable experience
Always interesting shopping .a great selection. I go especially for the bakery…have discovered the nutty loaf which may look a bit strange, but is absolutely delicious. I have to hide it away so as not to keep cutting a slice. Have tried many different foods, and that makes cooking interesting. Staff are polite. An enjoyable experience.
Rotting Asparagus
Just been to Lidl Witham as usual and treated myself to a bunch of British Asparagus for £2- when I got home and prepared my evening meal, on unpacking the Asparagus I was met with a rather rancid smell and noticed many of the tips had started rotting. The inside of the packaging was quite wet and with green slime from the Asparagus. Disgusting- never again from Lidl.
Lidl Plus offers excellent rewards
Lidl, Netherton is where I shop. The staff are courteous and friendly even when they are really busy. The Lidl Plus scheme is brilliant and the rewards well worth having. Yesterday I popped in for a few necessities and only spent just over £10 but on the app I had a voucher for free ice cream and for a free 'Birthday' doughnut (both of which were delish!) bringing my total down to £7.90. I always manage to get my 10% off for a £250 monthly spend and use it to stock up on cleaning materials, toilet rolls, frozen foods etc which are already at bargain prices. Quality always good. Love the instore bakery items and the 'deli' section which offer a good range of 'treats'.
Lidl Plus
I've been shopping at Lidl for approximately 18 months and so far have been very impressed with the quality and price of their products and the Lidl Plus scheme. However, following my shop last Friday (10/5), I noticed on the App that my spend of £106 had not been recorded nor had I received a 15% discount on 2 items that I should of (the discount would have been 50p). Fortunately I had a receipt so I took a photo of it and e-mailed Lidl Customer Service asking that my account be credited accordingly. I would add that I definitely scanned my card at the checkout, it beeped accordingly and the cashier confirmed this. Lidl Customer service replied to me apologising, gave me a £1 voucher but did not credit my account with the £106 spend. I replied telling them that £1 was derisory and my account needed to be credited. They have since increased the value of the voucher to £5 but advised they will not credit my account with the £106 spend however if I do not exceed £250 this month and consequently receive the 10% discount voucher I should contact them. This is not what I expect and am extremely disappointed in the approach Lidl are taking.
Missing stock, poor value
For weeks now, Lidl on John Wigley Way, Coventry, have stocked only two brands of tea bags, one decaffeinated and the other an expensive brand. The own- brand option (Knightsbridge) has vanished. Same with tomato sauce -only Heinz for weeks, then some cheaper unknown brand appeared, but still dearer than Asda. Even my local Asda has several options for affordable tea bags, and it's smaller than the Lidl store. The difference is, Asda doesn't waste space with a middle aisle (and other "specials") of doubtful quality or usefulness. And Lidl Plus gets worse and worse. Guess where I'll be shopping next week
Silvercrest glassbowl food chopper broke
Silvercrest Mini food chopper with glassbowl. After a few weeks of daily use, the screw, washers and nut fell out of the bottom of the glass bowl. Nut rolled under somewhere, not to be retrieved. Had to constantly tighten it. A little while later, the bowl broke in 3! Not even going to bother to claim. Shan't buy Silvercrest again.

Parked in Lidl car Park Yates to do our shopping. We were there 55 minutes and have just received a 90 pounds fine ( discounted to 45 if we pay within 14 days ) What a scam -- we assumed that a Lidl car park for Lidl customers would be free and did not seen any signs ( maybe we weren't looking as we assumed customers wouldn't be charged in their own carpaark
Lidl parking money making
Went to Lidl, Bodhyfrryd, Wrexham and did shopping. Sat in my car after shopping and apparently went over the 90 minutes waiting time which is hidden in the words rather than BIG NUMBERS. Appealed to the company and if you read about the company that Lidl profit from part of the £25 million they make each year and of course they didn't give a toss. I appealed to Lidl and they couldn't give a toss either. No surprises there.
Why haven't Lidl put a big sign on their door warning customers of the tiny parking limit when Asda have 3 hours across the road.
Watch out for the LIDL contactless…
Watch out for the LIDL contactless refund scam, they give you a receipt for the contactless refund but when you later check your bank account no money was ever refunded. The cashier at Inverurie got me to pay for an item twice after being overcharged the first time and the contactless refund never materialised and still waiting 3 days later. I have now paid £11.88 for a £4.89 item.
Huge scam going on here
Huge scam going on here. I have reported it to the head office but who knows if they will act on it. Reduced meat and fish NOT put back in the fridge but put in a trolley by the magazine rack. The MANAGER said it was "spoken for" Massive fraud! Selling it of to family DARNALL SHEFFIELD
They are simply crap
They are simply crap or excellent ! nowhere in between.
The "security staff" are ridiculous. Slumped at the doorway playing on phones. I bought a steak and a loaf of bread, carried in my arms and was challenged "have you paid for that " whilst a family with 3 trolleys sauntered past !
meat used to be be good but they are now ONLY offering vacuum wrapped minced beef mush. Noticed this last night. Conveyor tills were constantly opened and closed and when I watched they should be marked "family only" Staff on the phone when stuff is reduced. family arives and fills trolleys, checkout opens and puts them through and then closes, When in a shop in Darnall Sheffield I am geeted automatically in a foreign language something is VERY wrong !
