If i could give 0 stars, i would. Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Last year they were ok, but a little pricy. This year when i asked what costnis, i was told about $130 but id vet a 5% discount for being a retuen client...Then they TRIPLED the price without warning to almost $400!
I should have just stuck with H&R... ill never go back to Liberty!!! Theres a reason they got their asses sued in the US...

Been coming to this company for several years now prices were very reasonable for me at senior 77 years old. Went back this year cost me 150 outrageous for what they do. I have asked the gentlemen why such a big increase from the previous years. He tells me royalty fees, computer program updates. I never heard of such shit and salaries for employees. It’s all a bunch of bull crap.

Fast easy and helpful service. My go to spot for getting my taxes done.

Absolutely way over priced for the amount of work they actually do. I won't recommend this company to anyone! Should have gone back to H & R Block, they would have been 150 Dollars cheaper with the same results

Excellent, A+. When I first went on May 12, 2024, the gentleman was vey nice, friendly, patient, and explained that two witnesses that knows me are needed since my driver license is expired. I went back on May 29 and had what I needed notarized. The owner was very nice, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I couldn't ask for better customer services.

Absolutely floored that mine and my wifes basic taxes went from 170 for both last year to 379 this year. Same taxes. Basic filing. London Ontario at sherwood forest mall. Don't use these people

My spouse dropped his taxes off at the office on Hamilton Road in London, Ontario. He worked the previous summer in a province other that where we lived. I had my taxes prepared by a knowledgeable accounting office and they were done properly. Liberty tax gave him misinformation and the taxes were completed completely wrong. He wants his documents back to be done by an accounting firm but a year later, he can't get them back. I've called Corporate office also and everyone I speak with blames it on the other location. Worst company to deal with.

I first used Liberty last year for my son. Great experience with a professional name Brenda on Airport Rd in Wilson. She told us up front what the cost was and was very impressed, around $70.00 for a simple return. Walked us through the entire process This year we made an appointment with ???? at the same location as Brenda probably went to better places. I asked her how much it would be and she replied that she wouldn't know until the completion of the return AND never said a word as she was on the phone . It cost $320.00 for a simple return. I will never return and will encourage others to do likewise. My accountant could do it for less. A response would be great.

My wife and I are retired, have very simple tax returns to complete, and have used Ufile for the past several years. I used Liberty Tax at Courtenay this year just to check to see if I had been missing anything.
I called their office and was told I didn't need an appointment, I could just drop off my documents. I thought it was rather odd that I didn't actually sit down with the person doing my taxes to go over my package, but it is very simple so ok.
The tax return was completed very quickly, within about 5 days. When I picked it up I simply signed the documents for them to submit for me, again with little or no review of the return.
When I reviewed the tax return summary (which is all I initially received from Liberty) I realized they had not claimed one tax exemption that I had included with my documents provided to them. They re-filed our returns and reduced our taxes by about $300.
I requested a copy of my complete return and did receive our T1 forms but not the Worksheets or Schedules completed.
The cost of our tax preparation at Liberty this year was $252 including taxes. If I felt confident that it was done properly, I may continue to use them. However, I don't have that confidence so I will either use Ufile again next year or simply use the CRA forms and do it myself.

Stephen Ames at the Medford Center was A+ and doubled what my return was online, very pleased.

These folks are the best. They stay in contact through the tax prep and offer great discounts and are so easy to work with. I had the pleasure of meeting with Lisa Reese at the Mooresville, NC office. Give them an opportunity to prepare your taxes.

I've been going to Clarissa the past three years she's excellent. She's fast, outgoing, always laughing smiling making you feel right at home.

Liberty tax in Marshalltown, iowa went from 5 stars to 1 star in just 1 year . I did my taxes there last year and was pleasantly surprised as it was fast , efficient and what I thought was cost efficient.. however I turned my taxes in last Fri and the lady that did my taxes held on to them until today .. I was given the run around and when I finally came in for my last appointment I waited for almost forty min after my app time before I finally seen my preparer . She then played ring around the tax preparation fee with me .. first my taxes cost 300 … then 800 … when I told her h and r block charges 500 and that was the whole reason I came to them in the first place .. all of a sudden it was ok the lowest I can do is 600 ?? I told her absolutely not .. I won’t pay a dime less then 400 and I think that’s too much .. she then told me to wait some more while she called her boss to figure out what I was actually going to pay . I took my papers and left immediately. They had one good year and then boom for whatever reason this branch is now in a lot of trouble . Don’t do your taxes here … these lady’s don’t know what they’re doing … and the excuse that they are just busy and have too many clients is moot to me . Either staff your branch with people who know what they are doing or simply only take on more clients then you can handle . This place … one star .

i used liberty tax to file online and i used e-collect service. the irs already said my refund have been sent on monday and i should receive it by wednesday. everybody else got there refund on wednesday. i don’t have my refund till now thursday. this is so bad they couldn’t provide me there my refund went.

He went above and beyond for my mom who was in a desperate situation, he was very patient and supportive with the situation. I've been going to liberty tax for a few years now I will most definitely continue, these guys are amazing 🤩

They did not do return proper and did not give informed answers to my questions.Staff gave a couple different answers to same question.Head office was not very helpful at all when contacted about issue.Got more from better informed competitor that has done more of same.They do not care at all about customers..ok will not be one anymore

I went to a Liberty Tax in Kamloops, Bc, Canada, have been going to them for years. I am just now get reassessed for my 2021 tax year because they didnt send in all my t4's. I told them what ones I had, so the missing ones they could get electronically. They did not notify me that they did not have them all, and went ahead and filed my taxes anyways. If i had known they didn't have them all, I wouldnt have filed then. I would have contacted the company i was missing one from to get it. I trusted that they would do it properly and I wouldn't have to double check them. But now i know better, as I owe money for that year now.

Liberty tax in Conway SC I've been going to for years they have gave me the best service that u could ever want. They work together as a team. Far as the prices of fees everything is high in the economy at the moment. They work hard as a team to get you what u deserve. GO LIBERTY

Glens Falls branch has the gall to say “you have your LY taxes there, you should know” when I ask what the cost of the NY state tax return would be. Attitude from the team the second I walked in. Was a customer the last two years. Never again. Now I’m telling EVERYONE I know about my experience.
