I have been a tenant with Leaders northwich for around 4 years now and our property manager Paula has always been helpful and always gone out of her way to help us with whatever we needed.

Paula McCafferty at the Northwich branch has been great. She pays real attention to detail and has ensured our property and tennants are provided with a great service.

The property manager is understanding, empathetic and aims to get issues resolved quickly.

I do however think the communication could be better, for example we were told a date but no time for the inspection which took place on 07/07/23 leaving us unclear on when someone was coming.

After my stepdad passed away suddenly I contacted Paula at the Northwich office who was fantastic, so supportive and helpful whilst we sorted my stepdads possessions and cleared the apartment. Would highly recommend Paula and this company if you are looking to rent, exceptional customer service at such a difficult time

Having worked in Property maintenance for the last 35 years dealing with corporate clients throughout the UK and latterly with Leaders in Northwich for the past 12 months, I can honestly say, hand on heart, Paula McCafferty is in a League of her own.
Her diligence to both Landlord and Tenant is 2nd to none.
Everyone is dealt with professionally and kindly and all queries that come across her desk are dealt with thoroughly and to a speedy conclusion.
The Northwich office is a fast paced environment with a large property portfolio but Paula still manages to invest time in mentoring her team to ensure they are well trained and most importantly, happy and confident in their roles.
You are all much appreciated and your diligence to YOUR job brief, makes OURS so much easier!

Very good service
Leaders were always very prompt with repairs. I had a query over the length of my notice period being a month in email conversations, but two months in the tenancy agreement, the one month was honoured which was helpful to me without any haggling or negotiation, which shows integrity.

Great service from leaders, especially from Paula at the Northwich branch. Always prompt and informative. Nothing too much trouble. Very helpful with queries and thorough with home inspections and any work that needs completing to bring to standard. I Would recommend leaders they have made my renting experience easy and comfortable. 5 star from me

Staff have been wonderful, really friendly and helpful. We had a little problem with the flat when we picked up the keys but they rushed to get it fixed and has made the experience amazing

Leaders northwich diabolical customer service. Don’t reply half the time and when they do they just delay everything. Never a straight answer no apology for incompetence. Just blame everybody else. They never take responsibility for their mistakes.zero customer service unless they want money from you!!
Oh and look at every response to a bad review all the same and no real soloution. So obviously no intention to provide customer service just a script!! All they do is ask for good ones from you hoping they will weigh out the bad ones! Which obviously they will when they are always asking for them! Customer service 😂

I'm very happy with my experience with Leaders.
I found that the people are very friendly and helpful every time I need help expecially these two ladies called Saskia Walker and Paula McCafferty.

New to Leaders in Northwich for my HMO property and so far everything has gone well Paula is very helpful on the Lettings management team

As a landlord of 14 properties I am pretty experienced. I have been assisting a family member with a property that the landlord has chosen to use Leaders Northwich.
I won't write an essay here, but I will give you a synopsis of what a shambles of an operation these guys are. They are cowboys, they constantly cause upset and inconvenience and never resolve any complaints. I'm sick to the back teeth of their baseless apologies and incompetence.

1. Leaders took my personal data and sold or made use of it with 3rd party companies, to which I received text messages trying to sell me insurance. I complained and invoiced them for my wasted time - they declined to pay. I asked for the data they have about me on their database, never received.

2. Landlord issued an invalid section 21, and despite me advising them of this and telling them my family member would not be moving out, they proceeded to inform the council, and the utility companies that she had moved out. She came back to find no lights, no electricity and a letter from the council ending housing benefit. I had to spend hours of my time sorting this out. All I got from Leaders was "sorry" and "we care blah blah blah" all loose words.

If you are a Landlord, they will not represent your property properly, their administration from juniors to their rentals manager Amy, to their regional manager are all highly incompetent. I would never ever use them. They take your data illegally, and sell it.

If you are a tenant, avoid them, and deal with a landlord direct who uses Openrent - cut these parasites out. They will administer the properly so poorly that you will spend your time constantly dealing with their mistakes and laziness.

My complaints are about to be filed to the property ombudsman and The Information Commissioner. They can deal with this company and sanction them.

UPDATE (following Leaders generic reply to my review)

I see Leaders have put their standard generic reply up. As usual they never read anything. They should know I'm at stage 2 of their complaints process, after receiving their "Final View". Their letter was so laughable - they clearly never really took the time to read my complaint, nor provide any solutions. All lameless apologies and BS "we care, we are sorry etc" padded out as a supposed caring reply.

They used a company, that with a single instruction by them formally told council and utilities that my niece moved out on 23rd October...she had not. My niece came home to no lights, no electricity, cancelled housing benefits. It took me hours and days to reinstate her. Your complaint reply never even acknowledged this. Pathetic excuse of a company. My niece has to live in a damp, rodent infested s***hole that the landlord can't be arsed to fix. She has done nothing wrong, pays rent on time and she's had nothing but hassle, abuse. I'd love to sees these so called caring Leaders Romans Group employees and the CEO Mr Kavanah who is so far up his ivory tower, he is too important to get involved in complaints. He's a useless waste of oxygen as is all his staff. Next step Ombudsman, then if that don't work, I will sue you until you compensate me for the days of wasted time mopping up your mistakes.

Leaders Northwich you are absolutely appalling...
right from the beginning to taking a month to fix our SHOWER DURING TENANCY WITH YOU to still on going even though my partner and I have moved out of a property of yours on the 10th of September. My partner's cousin who lived with us was to remain in the property, we notified you of myself and my partner moving out in June and no paperwork was started when we notified and still seems nothing has been done. My partner and I are still on the contract of a house that WE DO NOT LIVE IN! The cousin that continues living there and the new tenant have no contract drawn up and they cannot set up a gas and electric account until my name is no longer on the contract of the house so you are delaying everything for them! All you are good at is chasing for money. On the 14th of September you sent me a text message to pay the rent although I DO NOT LIVE THERE. The current tenants had to send us money to send to the agency so that we do not get into debt. Come 14th October, 3 days from the due date of rent, I received another text chasing ME for money again, yet again payment was sent, but of course again... RADIO SILENCE!! It is now the 25th of October and we have had NO REPLIES FROM ANYONE! Several emails from us asking for updates, called two weeks ago and yet another person got involved and made false promises of a call back or an email and things being sorted within a week and STILL NOTHING!!

I am in a new house with my partner and we keep getting harassed by the agency for money but to sort our departure from the house for us, nothing.

This review will be uploaded everywhere possible as I have had enough! You have drained enough of mine and my partner's energy. If nothing is done after this review, we will be going to citizens' advice. After that we will come to the agency in person and demand to speak to the landlord over the phone to sort this out. This has to end at some point!

PLEASE DO NOT RENT WITH LEADERS! I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

Our first experience of renting. Le3aders seem to think that being a tenant defines your life and everything has to revolve around it. Mis sold the deposit insurance scheme when we would have happily paid a deposit. There is no benefit to the tenant at all for this scheme it is just their way of clawing back tenant fees that they can no longer charge. Unfair charges for a small amount of post checkout cleaning and the usual threats if not paid on time. Not a good experience if you are a tenant who just wants to get on with life and who pays rent their on time.

UPDATE: since posting this review Leaders have replied with their usual pro forma platitude given to anyone who is dissatisfied with their service. Sums up this uninterested corporate organisation.

We dealt with Emma Thomas at the Leaders Northwich branch and she was outstanding!

She made the whole how process very easy and kept us up to date each step of the way through swift replying over email. Even better yet she was happy and helpful with answering any and all questions that we had, relaying them to the landlord when necessary.
