Dishonest and couldn't care less attitude by Lambeth Council and APCOA Parking and their contractors

I live in Balham in the Lambeth council area. Back in Nov 2021, their contractors APCOA Parking and their sub contractors ELV Solutions Ltd & Redcorn Ltd were digging up the roads on our streets to lay fibre cables. I was away for a few days and they towed my car to continue their digging and in the towing process banged my car on the rear so that the rear tail light and bumper completely broke and the frame around it was dented. I raised a complaint with lambeth council, went through a lengthy written complaint process which inspire of clear evidence they refused. I escalated the complaint so that they sent it to an independent adjudigator who took months and then also refused to pay my damages which were over GBP 700 to fix my car. It did not break itself. I am appalled by the apathy and bureaucratic negligence of Lambeth Council and will keep escalating this till I exhaust all avenues. Also the plain dishonesty and lies of APCOA Parking and their sub contractors ELV Solutions Ltd & Redcorn Ltd - in the matter is something that I will publicise on all forums. Lambeth offered me GBP100 as "gesture of goodwill", even though my damages were GBP 700+.
Shameful, insulting and dishonest!

ppl have given up there tenancy due to living next to drug takers allowing there premises to be used in the supply of drugs numerous complainants nothing done they do not care about there proper residents
there a absolute joke
my neighbour lived in his flat since 1999
and gave up his tenancy after court cases numerous reports

they don’t care about you unless they want money from you

Terrible and corrupt council

Terrible council. Paid for a new key fob in September of last year, still have not received in July after many emails and calls. No one is ever available to help and even going in in person I was turned away and told to call up. Call up, no answer. Needed to pay my council tax but was unable to access my account. Tried contacting them but heard nothing. They purposely make it impossible to pay and there’s no one to contact so you end up paying more as the due date passes. Awful corrupt council that has a workforce full of inept morons who always try to push the problem on rather than do their job!

Absolutely appalling service on so many…

Absolutely appalling service on so many levels. One of their current tenants has been trying to rent through me and it’s taken longer than a month to obtain a reference, either verbally or by completing an online form that takes 2 minutes.

You can’t speak to anybody on the phone, nobody on the rents team replies to emails so how anything gets done is beyond me.

Worst council we know of

Worst council we know of, they setup a trafic light yellow box trap. If you can not see the lights your buggered ! The lights go red, and bingo, you carefully placed over this box to get a ticket. Thats not the bad bit ! It takes them months issue and send the ticket and when you find out, (August to December) by then you can not appeal to a stupid BOT on a website and staff are a joke. Mr Evans and Peter Thomas are very helpful. (Not). We are suing Lambeth C C for disgraceful behaviour.

The wall at the end of the garden, child hurt

The wall at the end of the garden partially collapsed in February 2022, what is left is leaning alarmingly so that i avoid going near it. I reported this to lambeth repairs on 18th february, i made them aware that it was a danger. I have made numerous ( well over a dozen ) calls to lambeth, the call centre just fobs me off everytime with a 'new urgent enquiry number' and says that some one will call me back within 5 days, which of course no one ever does. About a month ago a child (about 8 years old ) climbed over the wall to retrieve a football, while trying to climb back more of the wall collapsed, and some bricks fell on him, this was recorded by the security camera in my garden. Despite warning lambeth many times that this wall was H&S issue, and also telling them that a child had now been hurt, lambeth have still not had the wall repaired. They are the landlord and are responsible for maintaining this, and yet all they are intrested is extracting rent and council tax and simply ignoring their responsibilities, they are an absolute disgrace, tenants are ignored, children get hurt and they spend time and money on useless events promoting their 'diversity' and telling everyone how 'responsible and caring' they are. The truth is very different.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Terrible website, extremely difficult to contact anyone useful.

You will call them, they will register the repair to your block then you call back to check on the status because no-one has come to undertake repair within the timeframe and then they tell you you did not call and there has been no repair registered. You then register another ticket with them and the same happens! Nothing gets fixed.

Bins not collected in weeks after a road has been closed for a year to build an enormous tower across the street. Suddenly living in dust with diggers and construction work 8am-6pm, 6 days a week for 2 years for a development that will block out all of the light to your flat and now the rubbish is piling up because the bin collectors cannot get to the refuse point! Total lack of planning and only interested in making money from large luxury developments and taking your service charge. Housing block now home to rats and foxes! You try to use their website to log the issue and it is impossible – the page 'register a missed collection' forces you to search for your property but then there is no further action on the form to enter any details or submit anything – you then find the general 'contact us' page, which only loads an error message – if you google for another 'contact us' page and select 'missed bin collection' as your issue, it just takes you to the first form again, which does not have anywhere beyond selecting your property to register the missed collection (!!) – if you select 'something else' on the 'contact us form' it takes you to a 'page not found' page!

I will try calling but can be sure someone will 'register a ticket' then when I call back to check, there be no record. No wonder Lambeth has a reputation for squalor!

Unbelievably incompetent and a terrible shame.

Lambeth Council Registry Office and its staffs including the securities there are the best customer service providers in London, They are friendly and helpful to their customers, they offer excellent customer service
These staffs deserve promotions and increase of salary, particularly the Registry staffs and the security

the council needs to get rid of that…

the council needs to get rid of that phone service, say the name or department who you wish to contact, it doesn't understand English we have mould every where in the house in the bedrooms i my bedroom there is a leak coming from the ceiling and is cracked all the way along were the nails holding the ceiling is coming away from the beams and that's where the rain is leaking through there mould in the toilet is full of mould and the bathroom is black instead of blue paint mould in the kitchen living room hall way in they are not little bits of mould here and there the paint is cracked on the walls blown windows extractor fans don't work we had to sue them the last time and won because of all the disrepair's and had no kitchen ceiling no bathroom ceiling completely rotted windows and this carried on for over a year and no I had to by and put in new kitchen cupboards work tops sink the works because the council wanted nothing to do with it I done this before I become disabled and all these health problems come about lambeth council is built on and based on lies deceit discrimination and corruption and law breakers this is a labour council and as for the labour councillors sending us leaflets and vote for them they can think again none of them care as long as there payed a brilliant wage and don't want to do anything because as far as they are concerned we are all lesser class than them I wont vote for corruption and all the rest

No communication, constant threats of baliffs and courts etc. And to cover wrong doings and failing 'technical error'

They all crooks even complaints department to the top, to help shield the thieving practices!

The local authority for Lambeth have failed to provide accommodation

The local authority for Lambeth have failed to provide accommodation at the relief stage under the Homelessness Reduction Act. The housing authority have not taken the action they legally should have, by making enquiries into how I became homeless or threatened with homelessness which was not apart of the personal housing plan (PHP). I have received no support as a single homeless natural person. The local authority seem to be gatekeeping the homelessness services.

I called Lambeth council this morning

I called Lambeth council this morning, the advisor was unfriendly, unknowledable and unprofessional, very disappointing.
Maybe think about better training on the above issues.
Lambeth are dealing with the public but have very little experience on adapting to different calls and how to handle them in a professional manner.
Maybe Lambeth can address communication skills in their interviewing process.
Other than that Lambeths
Customer service process is disgraceful.

As incompetent as it gets

I wish I didn't have to depend on the bunch of incompetent people working for the council.

Slow answers. Delays not respected. Silly decisions. Poor money management. The list can go on.

Councils are usually a pain to deal with, and among councils, Lambeth is one of the worst ones.

Terrible

We have a leak since June in the borough of Lambeth which the council should repair as it comes from the roof of the building, we have been reporting it since then. They only came once after a dozens of calls, then they disappeared. The flat has no light in the toilette because of this, and the leak is damaging badly the property, but they don't care. Probably they want to wait for the ceiling to fall down. To speak with one of them, there is always a 50 mins wait, just to hear false deadlines for the work to be done. I'm shocked this is happening in a civilized city like London.

Water pouring down my walls and ceiling

I rang Lambeth this morning to report water pouring down my walls, electrics have blown, now its pouring through my ceiling, its not considered an emergency, the flat above has a faulty boiler, they are happy for my flat to be flooded - no one returns calls, answers the phone, I get disconnected after 20 minutes. How many hours/days do I have to wait before this is sorted. My flat is going to be devastated by all this water.

Just to let you know this council is not fit purpose Falmouth house kennington se11 no heating or hot water for over 2 weeks now, communal boiler down, truly shocking, It is not possible to get through to any department average time on the the phone 45 minutes!! If your paying a bill or fine straight through to department, mr andrew travers resign now, your the ceo, people need to post some info on this site mr travers this a serious failings go now!!!

Got parking fine for LTN in lambeth…

Got parking fine for LTN in lambeth tried to pay it the same day the site was down tried paying again for the next 3 days still can't pay it I'm sure this is done on purpose so you end up paying double for going over the stated period very poor service from lambeth Council they should be held accountable

Rubbish not collected

Bins are not being collected from our flats. We have been told, during a pandemic, to keep all our rubbish inside our flats due to Lambeth council not responding to repeated attempts by the caretaker to resolve the issue. Outside on Brixton hill there is a major rat infestation. No response from the council to attempt to report this. Bulky waste item removal also unavailable. Unclear what is being done with our council tax funds at the moment, appallingly bad but consistent with the rest of this corrupt country post Brexit.
