Terrible service. None of the apps or the webapp work. Highlighting is a nightmare, never saves your spot when reading, and they don't allow you to export your textbook into another epub reader that DOES work. Then there's printing. They have a max amount of pages you can print. Fine. But the problem is that you have to select page numbers then click print. It automatically discounts from your max before you get a preview of the print. The problem is that the webapp doesn't display page numbers correctly! So you lose those pages even if you cancelled because you chose the wrong pages (thanks to them)!

Not anything like a regular textbook is like. Can't go page by page as it's just one big, long, pathetic thing of text. What ever happened to online textbooks/CD textbooks being more like a PDF, where they go page-by-page. Another huge rant about this horrible company... the damn printing feature. There is no way to type in the pages you need, it's a dumb button you have to play with and can never get to the correct page. Also tried clicking print once and it had 10 pages in that pathetic setup, and didn't even print them, just wanted to see a preview of what it looked like, and they deducted printing from that. As if only 125 pages to begin with isn't bad enough. Wanted to print off the review questions for each chapter to do with paper and pencil, but guess that's not allowed. I used Kortext for a book last semester, and I said never again will I do these horrid online versions nowadays. Got stuck with the worst website, Kortext, again without an option because the online version was included (we were charged for it still alongside tuition) with the class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THEIR DIGITAL TEXTBOOK!!!!!! BEWARE!

Stupidest website/program ever. Just dumb. Horrible. Highlighting doesnt work properly on app. Page randomly reloads. Textbook has a limit as to how many times you COPY text. Like bro. As a student, I hate kortext. Payed so much for the textbook too.

Every other moment there is a problem accessing the contents. I am unable to use my textbook while I am traveling because it will not allow me to access (citing privacy issues).

Paid 42 Euros and got locked out: Bought a book on Pearson.de and only allowed to read it in browser with a weird interface, and in addition getting locked out (!) after paying more than 42 Euros. Will not buy again from Pearson!

I had the misfortune to use Kortext after buying an online book (Toronto Notes) without any option for the reader.
It's been so far (after 3 months) both frustrating and unpleasant.
Here are the main drawbacks:
- Constant disconnections with double authentication.
- Worst search mode ever. No misspellings allowed, or it finds absolutely nothing (even if you have forgotten one letter only), and unfortunately, it can't find words in images. As for the results, there is no filter selection, and the relevance is appalling.
- Notes: you are left with some options of colour, but they also automatically come with underlining that obstructs the reading of the line right below. You can't add notes on the page (just like with Adobe, for instance). The notes take you to a different page.
- The uploading of each page is not the fastest, to say the least.

I could go on for hours. It is not user-friendly at all. I would exchange it anytime if I could.

Very limited number of books. £ 10-15 more expensive than others sites. The site is misleading. The pdf you get is not a download. You never actually own it you have to use their e-reader.
The e-reader is janky. Don’t recommend. Just use Amazon. Deeply regret buying from them.

Watch out for these scammers! They will steal your Ebooks that you bought somewhere else!!
I bought an Ebook online at a local bookstore. It was an ACSM file, so I could not open it. Kortext said I could use their program. After I uploaded the book I couldn't download the book again to use it in another program. Kortext stole the rights of the book.
