The worst experience i had ever had for…😍

The worst experience i had ever had for my urgent boiler family fixing which is 1 year old.
Customer team not helpful at all throwing me to call the engineer who doesn’t seem to care or to send text message before he comes to home.
They don’t seem bothered at all with customers needs.
Still chasing them daily for my job which is supposed to be urgent for over 10 days.

boiler cover....0 stars

I used them to service my boiler for five years but left after they took over a month to get my boiler fixed. British Gas were unable to cover this type of boiler so I went back and wanted the gold cover but they said they don't offer gold cover to new customers and only offered silver cover. They said once you leave gold cover you can not return. It seems absurd as if they are making it up as they go along. I would love someone from Kingspan to clarify why they no longer offer gold cover anymore.

Check the warranty! The service department is clearly a cash cow for the company.

Corporate crooks. I purchased a Water treatment system from this company. It was ordered through my contractor and installed at the end of December 18. Because of Christmas it was not commissioned by Kingspan until 09 January 19. On 06 jan 20 the alert light started to flash indicating a fault. The warranty period apparently is not from the date of commission, but from date of delivery. So a £340 (!) bill for a service visit and £78 for supply of a new sensor. The engineer told me the sensor ‘often fails’....I bet it does! What a clever way to ensure a full order book for the service engineers and a healthy income flow from maintenance contracts.

This system is designed to arrive a household of 6. We are only 2 and in residence only half the week. The system is hardly working at capacity! What would be breaking if it was??

I spoke to a supervisor who was polite and eventually offered to discount the cost of the part by 30%, which I appreciate..... but there is a huge problem with the business model here which just leaves new customers feeling ripped off.

Disappointing service!

I'm afraid this company is not even worthy of a 1 star rating! The poor level of customer service received over the last two weeks is shocking. An urgent call out was arranged for the Friday over the Christmas period, only to be informed on the following Tuesday by the tenant that the engineer still hadn't turned up! I contacted Kingspan who informed me that the engineer had "left the business a few days prior and the job wasn't reallocated"! I raised a formal complaint along with requesting a refund for the appaling service (to which I had to chase for a response to) and although an apology was made over the phone, the lady still didn't accept they were in the wrong and blamed it on "skeleton staff over Christmas". No Kingspan, this is the result of poor planning!

Leaking new cylinder

We purchased a new Kingspan cylinder October 2018 it leaked all over the attic and ceilings in November 2019. We purchased the cylinder from DHS (Wholesale) Limited in Guernsey. Kingspan will not accept any liability until the cylinder is returned, DHS said they returned the cylinder on 21/11/19 but they hadn't. The cylinder was eventually returned to Kingspan on 3/1/20 arrived on 11/1/20 Kingspan tested it. The cylinder had a hole in it so at last they admit liability. Emily Jo Ager said she would arrange fir our costs for damage and repair to be covered and guess what it's now the 4/2/20 and we still haven't received one penny from Kingspan.
Now we are left with the only option of suing Kingspan for repairs and damage.
We are OAPs living on only pensions but have had to cover the cost of 2 dehumidifiers and heaters to try and dry out our house.
I wonder if Kingspan can't afford to pay us are they going broke?

Avoid Kingspan!!

Kingspan customer service is really horrific. Do not call you back, do not reply to emails and go out of their way not to help.
Our tank has leaked from day one. The pipes are now covered in limescale. They won’t do anything about it. Water always loses pressure. It’s noisy. If your new build is fitting one ask them if they can use a different supplier as this company should be AVOIDED at all costs!!!
Edit - thanks for the reply but I am going the down the formal complaint route with the house builder. I have a customer service manager attending my home today to discuss.

Recently had a quote for a £500 + VAT callout fee which apparently included a 25% discount (I am on a service contract) for a system fault that occurred shortly after the last service. I've two Kingspan solar tube hot water systems. Nothing but trouble.

72% Bad Reviews Need I say more! but i will

Called them out over a problem with a septic tank, paid them £350+vat for call out!
Diagnosed a £80 part (actual cost £20) but they said the property was that large they needed 2 engineers next time so another £350+ vat
Then whilst there they messed about for 40 mins then told us that a 79p fuse was needed and they wanted another hour to go and get it and fix it so they wanted another £350+ vat for a 79p fuse , refused to pay , went and got the fuse myself to come back to find they had left and done nothing! Why didn't they have these on the van, ridiculous. Absolutely shocking company would never ever use them again . Avoid unless you don't care about wasting money

Recently had a problem with our single…

Recently had a problem with our single pump station that we didnt even know we had. Called the service team and got great help from staff in the office. The engineer arrived well with in the time frame given. Got the pump up and running again. Some parts were needed which were delivered a few days later and the engineer back to fit them. System fully serviced during this time aswell! Got my visit and a Maintenance plan for a great price. Would definitely recommend Kingspan for any waste water issues.

Outrageous, cynical rip-off on parts. Effectively, cheats.

I have been a regular maintenance contract customer of Kingspan for our septic tank system for I guess a decade+. One would hope to be valued and treated with care after such a time.

BUT, when we had a pump break, they quoted me £760 (inc VAT) for a new pump. I smelled a rat, and found it immediately online for £301 inc VAT - ie, they were planning to overcharge me by 250% over the consumer price, so an even huger markup over their actual cost.

When I complained, they gave me an obviously misleading story about not having much demand for these pumps, so not carrying much stock, so not getting a great trade price, which simply didn't stack up given that I found it so cheap at a comsumer price. They are so cynical they don't even try to great a good story together, and simply brazened it out, unapologetically.

It was so appalling, I wondered if something corrupt was going on. I don't have evidence to allege that or other criminality, but they are cheats, abusers of the trust of their reguar contract clients.

I'm going to be looking around next time my contract comes up.

Disgraceful company

Products come with a 25 year guarantee , yet when they fail through complete fault of design, and cause hundreds of pounds of damage , they just ‘void the warranty ‘ on a technicality, and leave the customer with the damage and the bill without any sort of remorse or acceptance that it’s totally their fault . Kingspan - Builder's Warning

I fail to see the point in contacting you via the address provided when 4 of your company representatives have already declined to take any responsibility for a defective system through various telephone conversations regarding the matter. My displeasure with Kingspan and your approved installer has already been conveyed to them and I have vowed to never again use any of your products on my projects again (including on the commercial building I am currently working on).

Do you have the authority to overrule the position taken by those in Kingspan that have, to date, denied any responsibility for the issues my Client has raised with your insulation system? If not, don't waste any more of my time asking for more details. Kingspan insulation will NEVER be used on one of my company's projects ever again.

Great Service thank you

I didn’t service my sewage treatment plant for 5 years and what a mistake. It wasn’t until the odour started to come through the house I knew something was wrong. I called kingspan service and they offered me a speedy and suitable time, had all the parts onboard I needed and fixed a complicated problem first time. The engineer even stayed after hours on a Friday afternoon to get it sorted. I just wanted to acknowledge the excellent service and experience. Thank you it could have been much worse.

Kingspan water an energy dissaster experienced

I booked the annual water tank maintenance today. The maintenance was booked for 7:30am and the maintenance contractor arrived and tried to charge me for an additional hour service because he accessed the flat at 7:45am. He was outside, rang the front door building, entered the building but never knocked on the flat's door. When I looked for him downstairs he claimed he would charge an extra hour because he had not started on time at 7:30am. I stated that the maintenance had never exceeded 30 minutes to what he said that this time it would.
This contractor called Warren Brown from Kingspan Water and Energy, had not even taken his tools to carried out the service inside the building, which I thought it strange. He finally made it to the flat and started claiming that his automatic pump tool was not working, he then made it outside for another 5 to 10 minutes and then on his return I started a video recording as I realised he was trying to effectively charge for an additional hour by delaying the service.
I recorded everything on a video. To my surprise this man also, once finished, was claiming that he was 'looking for a missing part of hi allegedly faulty pump' for what he spent around 5 to 10 minutes "searching" for the part and in addition he was claiming that he would not be able to finish until he filled in the report and because he was not able to get any signal he had to go outside and I had to wait inside for another 10 to 15 minutes so he would call me to fill in the report.
It is outrageous that a company such as Kingspan an employ people such as Mr Warren Brown who is a professional, but not a professional engineer but a professional thug/thieve.
I will publish all this and the video on the media facebook and twitter so people can be aware that this I the practice of this company.
I contacted his manager at Kingspan, Mr Simon Pattison who ensured this situation had to be corrected. Nonetheless, I am of the belief that people should know that Kingspan contractors such as Warren Brown re using these practices and tactics to steal customers whom believe are dealing with reputable company.
Be aware, this company's engineers/contractors can use dirty practices to try to steal people and make you regret having contacted them in first place.

DO NOT BUY!! DO NOT BUY!! DO NOT BUY!! and if your water harvesting tank has broke - don't bother fixing it, its cheaper to leave the tap running! I purchased a new build property with a Kingspan Water Harvesting system that subsequently stopped working. On calling the services team i was MASSIVELY misled. I was quoted more than £300 to attend my property, I stated that was extortionate for a call out charge but was quickly advised that this would cover parts/service/repairs etc. I fell for it and now they dispute ever telling me this - I HOPE YOU HAVE THE CALL RECORDED KINGSPAN!! After a visit that lasted a matter a of minutes and no repair, I received a report stating my system is not working - thanks. The engineer himself asked we call Kingspan as they were bad at getting back to people. On calling back the first sales rep said "this is all a bit in the air isn't it? i'll put you through to the rep that booked you in!" I was then told by the rep who booked me in that the fee was just a call out fee!! lies. Over £300!!! just to tell me my tank doesn't work! ITS A SCAM. Oh how i wish I read these reviews. The amounts are reoccurring and suspect.. £300+ call out and then...wait for it..£400 for a pump! Im still waiting for a callback. Why would anyone pay over £300 just to be told its not working? I have now started to seek legal advice and have been advised around the legalities of a misleading sales rep and 'reasonable' call out fees. After some initial research, we can confirm that these fees are not reasonable in comparison elsewhere and even more so as no works were actually done in the minimal time spent here. Luckily I have CCTV which shows the footage, time spent and activities by the engineer in our garden. I would STRONGLY urge others to seek advice on the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Protection from unfair Trading Regulations 2008. After reading many similar reviews, I shall be taking this further and sharing everything on this site also. KINGSPAN - Do the right thing. Read these reviews. Its embarrassing and daylight robbery. I shall be pursuing damages/full refund. This cant continue.Kingspan, if you want to respond, do not ask me to email a generic email like below. You have my name, check your system and call me - stop pretending with others that you are 'responsive'.

Quality control?

After fitting over 200 Range cylinders - I have been let down by Kingspan.
Today is the second time I have reported a coil failure on the “Copperform Flomaster” thermal store. Previously a failure after 2.5 years and today a failure at 3 years. Makes you wonder why there’s only a two year warranty on a bespoke product, at a high market price.
This is embarrassing. Yet again I’ll be purchasing a competitors thermal store and swallowing the installation cost - I value my reputation.

I was experiencing issues with my… Septic Pumping Tank

I was experiencing issues with my septic pumping station over Christmas and my usual engineer was abroad for the holidays - I rang into the Irish office. The call handler Samuel was able to help me get my unit pumping again as he was able to explain the workings of the control panel. I have called the Irish office before about another septic pumping unit I have and I was never explained these methods of turning off the pump and switching it to manual etc. So this advice was a great help. They were very kind to advise me of items which my tennant should not be flushing down their toilets to avoid this rigmarole again, which my engineer later confirmed was the fault.

Great Online Chat Service

I was worried to begin with seeing the terrible customer service reviews, however using the online chat function and I have to say my concerns were for nothing.
Jodie the adviser I spoke to was great, although there was nothing she could do to rectify my issue (not a serviceable issue), she gave me a call to give me the advice she'd been given to pass on, updated the details of ownership and sent me the users manual.
