Kingspan TRIBUNE IND 300L ECO

While I see nothing but bad reviews, so far we have had excellent experience with our Kingspan TRIBUNE IND 300L ECO hot water tank but the last service did cause the tank to constantly release water (which had not been doing prior to the annual service). Kingspan fixed it, but we had to wait a week for an appointment because there are no certified service companies in central London. Fingers crossed ...

Do not sign up to their service agreements

Bad company - do not sign up to their service contracts. They will use any means possible to add additional cost onto their service plans. We bought one of their treatment plants, and they have in no way attempted to ensure that we are aware of the limitations on the treatment plant. When I queried why we had not been provided with their user manual to explain how it was to be used - they said that their terms and conditions (VERY small print!!) said that we should request a copy if we needed it. Very rude customer services representative - no attempt to apologise - it was (apparently) all our fault. I will not be renewing our service agreement with them. Avoid at all costs

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, and that's being polite.

During the second service on my water cylinder the pressure relief valve was determined faulty. I contacted Kingspan for advice on how to replace it. The only response was to tell me it was out of warranty. No alternative help, no support, no contact information of somebody who could help, nothing.

The cylinder was 11 days out of a 2 year warranty!!! It's reasonable to assume the part failed between services, under warranty. Reasonable to anybody with common sense.

Whether it was in/out of warranty is irrelevant to offering good customer service and support, clearly something Kingspan have no idea on. I'll have to find a way to source the part and fix it myself or through a third party.

This review is more based on the horrid…

This review is more based on the idiot driver of yours on whitwell hill between york and scarborough. Slow moving traffic today not even crawl pace.

Driver decides to pull into fast lane to STOP the outer lane from passing, this resulting in even longer queues while having a completly free lane ahead of him. Due to this idiots action its now cost me a Dual mass Flywheel because if he hadnt have acted in the manner he did we wouldnt have come to a stop start constantly for nearly half an hour on a very steep hill.
We are not even sure why he did this as his lane was clear but he still refused to move forward!

Hopefully you have dash cam footage of how much of an idiot your driver was today 15.8.2018 approx dinner time.

If you dont have the footage, dont worry i will be uploading my dash cam footage to youtube, fuming is an understatement!!

Years of bad customer service

Years of bad customer service. routine service ended up with a broken system. I take out gold cover with to included 2 services, never received the second service visit. Then had to cheek to ask me to renew, when I never received a service from them. I work abroad, I have emailed twice, with reply over a period of a month. to asked for clarification. No response to date. I cant find a telephone number and get passed pillar to post. After they install, they are not concerned about follow up or maintenance.

Avoid avoid avoid.

After years of using Kingspan for a service contract on my bio septic tank, I am left £1000 out of pocket, a broken tank and a bill for the revisit of an engineer (who had done nothing). I have been paying £600/year for eight years for nothing. Parts are not included, they don't empty tanks, on learning all of this and contacting them, I am told I still have three months left on my 'contract' and have to pay a further £200 or so for again, absolutely nothing.
Avoid this company like the plague and find a local company that will service and maintain your tank for about £200 a year plus emptying.

over a year on 7k later, still not completed, system is not running, was better before they looked at it !
No replies from the office, broken promises.

I asked my builder to install rainwater…

I asked my builder to install rainwater harvesting and he chose kingspan enviro. One month after I moved in to my new house it failed for the first time after heavy rain. By the time my builder was able to return and check it had dried out and was working again only to fail again in the autumn when the wet weather returned . Kingspan refuse to repair under guarantee as they claim it does not run from the date of commissioning of the system but from when the builder bought the system from them at the start of building some five months earlier giving me only seven months guarantee! Also they claim that as the harvester overflow was connected to a soakaway ( their brochure says this is permissible and as the land slopes away from the sewer is necessary) which was possibly overwealmed during a cloudburst the guarantee is void - as the
electrical equipment in the tank and underground ducting connecting the submersible pump to the house is only splashproof!!!
I have to give one star as there is nothing lower. I cannot recommend this company.

Poor Products and Poor Customer Service …

Poor Products and Poor Customer Service - Kingspan Environmental.

I have experienced over the past year many manufacturers faults with the Tribune Cylinders I had installed on my newly refurbished tower block. The leaks from the cylinders caused extensive damage to many of my properties, due to the constant delays in investigation of the situation at the time and the customer support offered to us throughout. I had to constantly call this company for updates and found that I received better customer service from their loss adjusters rather than Kingspan themselves. The employees that I spoke with in the office during this time, also gave me incorrect information as to when engineers were attending, causing even more inconvenience and annoyance with myself and my tenants occupying the damaged apartments. The works were finally completed at their own cost and I was then told that any charges my company incurred from emergency call outs to plumbers would be reimbursed. Nearly 5 months on and I am still tirelessly chasing my refund, even though I am still experiencing the same issues with other cylinders in this tower block. I have issued a complaints letter to them on 13.11.17 to which I have still received no response or reply that this has been received and investigated. Due to the above I will not be recommending or using this company again, even though there is still another approx. 50 cylinders required to be installed on our refurbishment.

I booked a combined service for Solar …

I booked a combined service for Solar panels and the hot water storage. At the time of booking, the charge quoted was for both the solar panel and the storage. I speciacally asked whether the charged quoted (£164) was for both services, the answer from KIngspan was yes. When the engineer came, he said he could only service the hot water storage tank but not the solar panel as it was form a different company. He also told me that the charge is combined charge for both services. At the time booking though the details of the hotwater storage was taken form me, did not ask any details about my solar panel (which is in the attic/roof. Today I called them, they started justifying the charge, but sopped immediately when i told them they cant deny what they have told me when I booked the combined service. Moreover, Kingspan have not send me the invoice or a service report so far. They are not trustworthy. AVOID BUYING FROM THEM

Suspicious "maintenance" leads to broken pumps

After our annual maintenance, there were no reports of any pump issues but we were required to tanker our effluent tanks. We paid additional fee for this. Four days laters all pumps broke and there was sh!t everywhere. To replace the pumps cost £2.5k and took a week to be replaced. In the meantime we tried not to see water but had to pay for two additional tankering sessions at 300 a pop.. All in all we were held over a barrel and fleeced for every penny while we had no choice but keep using their services. Awful company to deal with.

Expensive. Terrible

How I wish I had read this site before getting our rainwater harvester. It went wrong and the cost of any repairs makes any alleged savings on your water bill completely non existent. Call out charge of over £300 and then one small part repaired for £400 with only a 12 month guarantee. Poor customer service, unreliable, expensive. Do not use their products

Customer service

I had the worst customer service expectancies ever king span at dallas I ordered food which day 05/13/15 at 2:44 wit until 3:10 no one say nothing to me but I saw People getting there food after me. I was witting for 25 mi so I went back to desk ask her if my food is coming, guess what's she said ohh she forgot so do you want to cancel it or wit another 5 more min. nothing happen face this is which I was thinking I'm going to eat my lunch there I said ok but I feel like was very wrong that she offer me to cancel before even say sorry we apologize noooo she was like "you want to cancel or wit " i will never go back agin and I used to like this place not anymore you don't tell customer ohh we forgat that not how you do customer service I work customer service , I'm not new for Kingspa I'll never go back

Dreadful customer service

Had a bio tank fitted and the motor failed just inside warranty. The company charged £300 just to come out and look at it regardless of when it is bought. They then insisted on a further £400 to replace the motor. We said that this was in guarantee and they wanted the delivery note with the comment "you have 5 minutes before we leave site and we will charge you again if we come back". We eventually got the note and, after some delay, they agreed it was under guarantee. That was in January and in mid February I am still waiting for my £700 back which is meant to have been credited "by the end of the week" every week.

I have responded to their own survey and challenged them to respond to my comments which they have not as they probably don't even read them, as they won't this comment. They just don't care about customers or returning to them what is their money. I am ensuring my building friends and colleagues know full well what they are like.

Do not go near then if you can avoid them as they do not have any idea of customer service!

RUBBISH COMPANY DONT TOUCH THEM.

We had our bio tank fitted by this company and in less than 3 years we have had to fit 2 new pumps at over £600.00 a time although the engineer who came out told us they no longer use this type of pump because they were not fit for purpose. After complaining i was informed the parts are only guaranteed for a year. I am now taking them to the financial ombudsman.
Do not touch them if you don't want to spend a fortune every year.

Diabolical customer service, hopelessly inefficient business

I bought a property fitted with an Ultrasteel cylinder (6 years old). The thermostat pocket corroded and sprang two leaks - it was made of a nickel plating over soft copper, and as soon as the nickel was knocked or damaged, the copper was corroded by the water in the cylinder.So any sort of "dink" in fitting would cause this. Kingspan Tech Support said I needed a new Statpocket which they were now making in stainless steel. Fundamentally I believe that as the old version was not fit for purpose and was only 6 years old, they should have offered this free as a goodwill gesture. But they wouldn't accept any problem with the original design, so they wouldn't consider this. Never mind. I was told to order it on the website, where I was also charged GBP12 for next day delivery.
Well the "next day" bit didnt happen, so after another phone call they said they would refund the delivery charge. However they are not able do this, the tech support people cannot refund people and they clearly are not able to internal contact with their Northern Irish website grouo who took my money in the first place. Kingspan's customer service has proved hopeless, I have been passed round three people, each of which defends their company but has no interest in satisfying the customer, or indeed effecting a refund. It is always someone else's fault, usually the website team get the blame, or "the people whohave your credit card details". The people who can supposedly sort it out are always "in a meeting" which is far too important to interrupt for a customer issue. Most of the interactions I have had (over a GBP12 issue!) show a company without any individual empowerment, or interest in efficient internal processes. Everyone I've dealt with sees their colleagues as a "them and Us", which reflects very badly on the company. I wouldn;t touch them with a bargepole in future, they have no idea about what makes an efficient modern company, nor how creating goodwill with a customer over a trivial amount might be good for their business. If David Brent was responsible for a brand this is what we'd get.

This review is for Kingspan Environmmental, manufacturers of Titan (and other) oil storage tanks. My Titan tank began to leak nine years after it was installed. It had a ten year warranty. Kingspan paid up without the least argument. Heather Rae, the claims handler, was brilliant throughout. Perfect service. Thanks.
