The team were great, I felt so confident in them from the start and they did an excellent job. Friendly and professional, they know what they are doing and run a smooth build. Communication was excellent throughout and I happily recommend Nic and the team at JBS.

From our first contact with JBS and our first meeting with Nic, we felt we were in safe hands and confident that the work would be carried out to a very high standard, which it has been.

Communication with Chloe , Ben, Joner, Nic and all of the other trades has been exceptional.

The quote and time frame given at the start of the project never changed. All of the people visiting our home were respectful and professional and always had time for any queries we had.

We would 100% recommend JBS, as their work exceeded expectations due to the high quality finish and they are extremely knowledgeable in their field.

Overall, our experience with JBS lofts has been very good. JBS did the design and build for a loft extension on our mid terrace home.
From the start, the communication was very good and when things came up we felt we were able to speak to Nick and his team via the dedicated whatsapp group. We were abroad for a part of the build and were able to stay in touch via video call which helped us made some of the small but important decisions (locations of switches, which side door hinges were placed) remotely.
The team were all very friendly. We had a six month old baby at the time and they showed a lot of consideration around him.
The job was done on time and to the agreed programme.
We felt completely in control of the budget, so when we added additional scope requests, we would always be presented with an updated invoice to consider and sign off before any changes become official.
There were a few snags as with any job like this and most were tidied up well.
Giving this review four stars instead of five as we did have an ongoing issue with the shower pressure that didn't really get resolved by JBS. We instead had to speak to others about a remedy.
Overall, our experience with JBS lofts was very positive and the control over cost and their communication really stood out.

Really great experience working with this guys. They did our loft conversion and were really great throughout. They were responsive to our needs, used skilled and professional contractors who were great to have around the house. As many people do, we were doing this against the clock (my wife's due date) and they were super responsive and helpful.

The electricians, painters and decorators, roofers, tilers were all great and completed their work to a high standard. We do not have a bad word to say about them. JBS and all the people they got in to complete the work were all fantastic (thank you Anton and Harvey in particular!) If we had another loft to convert we'd use them again.

JBS completed a great loft conversion for us. Ben and Joe were brilliant, they were polite and punctual and were friendly with our whole family from start to finish. They involved us in decisions, kept us updated and explained things well. The contractors used for electrics, plumbing and plastering were also on time and well managed. The job was completed on time. I would recommend.

We used JBS for our Victorian Terrace dormer loft conversion and are so satisfied with the end result. From the initial consultation with Nic and Chloe, JBS gave us the utmost confidence in their professionalism and attention to detail. Their quote was very competitive and Nic's technical expertise shone through from the first visit, which was the deciding factor to choose JBS.

They provided a great level of detail and support throughout the process and made us fully aware of how the work would be undertaken at each stage. A full PowerPoint presentation was provided before starting work which was really helpful for us to understand how the conversion would take place and the timings of each stage. JBS work with pace and precision and (had it not been for some delays outside of their control) worked exactly to the advised schedule!

We were given lots of options and choice for quality fixtures and fittings throughout at competitive prices and the craftsmanship of Nic's team was excellent. JBS used quality, trusted subcontractors for the scaffolding, tiling, electrical, plastering, bricklaying and roofing work and we are very happy with the finish and quality of their work. Nic and his team evidently take a great deal of care to choose which trades to use on their projects and only use the best of the best!

Morgan and Dean were there for the main part of the build and were an absolute pleasure to have attend the property. They were respectful, friendly and always happy to answer our questions.

Throughout the process Nic has been exemplary. We honestly could not ask for a more diligent, trustworthy and honest person to work with. He took a great deal of ownership and pride in our project and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's rare to find such passion and commitment these days and Nic and the team at JBS are one of a kind!

JBS recently completed a full remodel of our roof and the space beneath, giving us a whole extra floor to live in. From the very first meeting Nic filled us with confidence, giving a competitive and accurate quote and an attractive schedule in which to complete the work.
We chose to stay in the house whilst the work was being done so got to know the team pretty well, they were always punctual, courteous and provided an excellent quality of craftsmanship.
Throughout the process we were kept informed, and the trades struck the perfect balance of asking for input from us where it was needed but not overdoing it.
We are absolutely delighted with the outcome and wouldn't hesitate to recommend JBS for major building works.

I recommend JBS for your loft conversion. They gave me a competitive quote, and were friendly, punctual, informative, efficient, and most importantly, conscientious throughout the whole process. They transformed my home with a velux loft conversion, and also replaced the staircase to the first floor, rotating it 180 degrees to save space. They know their trade very well indeed, and have obviously worked hard to get to where they are. I'm glad I chose JBS, and you won't be disappointed if you do too :-)

All the staff and tradespeople working onsite at our house were polite and considerate. They were very understanding about our slightly chaotic household. They had to content with curious children, an unruly puppy and adults working from home, and took it all in good humour.
The work was completed to a very high standard and any minor issues were dealt with promptly and without fuss. 
The end result has made a hugely positive impact on our lives. The extra loft room has given our family much-needed space and is a pleasure to spend time in. I only wish we'd done it sooner! Thanks to all the JBS team for such a great job.

The team at JBS recently undertook our loft conversion.They've done a very nice job, having done a lot of the major work with minimal disruption to the rest of the house. Highly recommended.

Nick and his team did our bathroom last year and to say it was an amazing experiance would be an understatement. From patience while I took forever to choose, to the knowledge and professionalism we really were so impressed. Friendly experts with a team of just lovely tradesmen HIGHLY recommend!

JBS were professional and slick from start to finish. It was a pleasure having them in our home - the whole experience was unobtrusive and ran so smoothly, with them taking care of everything along the way. They started the job weeks earlier than originally planned, and stuck to a tight schedule to have it finished well in advance of when we had expected. And the end result is everything we wanted! They've done really well at maximising on the space we had to create a perfectly serene master with ensuite. Thank you to everyone involved!

We dealt with Chloe and Nic for a number of months and they were brilliant both on the visit, the detailed quote & information they supplied... and then answering patiently all my (many) questions. In the end we've had to postpone our attic conversion but this had nothing to do with JBS who came highly recommended from friends and who up to this point have been first class.

Back in summer 2020, JBS completed our Gable End loft conversion -Studio Flat with Cabrio Velux Balcony and smart En-Suite.

At the time we had 3 toddlers, including a pair of 2-year-old twins! Not only did they finish on time, but they were also hugely sensitive to our young family’s needs and worked tirelessly to keep to the agreed schedule.

JBS are not ‘any old builders’ they are all kind considerate professionals with pin-point accuracy, dedicated to their work. You will not find a superior loft firm in the S.W. First-class service from start to finish with clear communication at every junction.

3 years on our family is reaping the rewards and JBS were even kind enough to come out and promptly fix a minor leak from a blocked drain, years after completion. What more can you ask for?

Ours was not a straight forward job. We needed planning permission and the final design had to change a lot from the beginning. And the design became more complicated.
We are so happy and impressed with the outcome though. Everyone worked so hard to accommodate what we wanted and work around anything tricky.
Jack and Sam really grafted during the first fix. Alex was so knowledgeable about the electrics and professional, Shane made the plumbing side easy and I can’t even begin to say how great Dan was. He worked with us to build an amazing bespoke wardrobe to make sure we could make the most of as much space as possible. His attention to detail was fantastic.
We took a chance on this company as we’d only seen their work online, but are so glad we did. The workmanship is high quality and everyone is very professional and likeable which made it easier to have people working in your house for so long.
It’s allowed us to reconfigure the upstairs of our house to help us work from home more effectively. We couldn’t have asked for more and have loved watching all the different stages. Thank you JBS!

Hi this is quite a strange review because I am not the homeowner. I live nearby a property that had a loft done and it looks fantastic, but my main five star review is the fact that all the people that worked on it were polite and nice, they didn't have loud radios on, there was no swearing and it wasn't noisy at all. I think that's a really important point to make and I wanted to say thank you.

I think the best word to sum up our experience with JBS would be ‘smooth’. These guys seriously know what they’re doing and it’s impressive to watch. We had to wait a while before our loft extension could start (they are in demand and some material delays) and our loft probably took longer than most, but our design was quite unique, including a 4.3m long window which brought its own challenges. All of the team are respectful, they engaged with our kids (which we really appreciated!) and they actually did a full days work - 8am - 5pm… none of this clocking off at 2pm nonsense! Professional, smooth, good communicators, adaptable to changes, up for a challenge and all round lovely guys. Thanks to the entire JBS team for our incredible loft extension.

JBS have been professional and done great work throughout. Our new loft is beautiful, sturdy and has character - really opening up our small terraced house to make room for our little one. The work was well coordinated, everyone turned up when planned or let us know of any slight schedule changes, and quotes were transparent. Everyone doing work was friendly and mindful of our daughter and cat wandering around the house. While we needed a little extra work above the original quote, this was clearly explained and it has made the house lighter and safer as a result. All invoices matched the quotes and the team always responded quickly to queries. I would definitely recommend JBS for anyone else having their loft converted around Bath or Bristol.

JBS Lofts did a fantastic job converting our loft into three light filled double beds and a super family bathroom. They transformed our existing bungalow by cleverly designing the stairs and landing to let in extra sunlight. The team are experts in what they do with tons of previous experience, and guided us through the project with ease. A really friendly team to have working on your home project and they were always available to answer our questions.
