Ferrari 488 enquiry with Max in Cheltenham
I enquired on a Ferrari 488 with Max in Sales at Cheltenham. Whist I didn't end up buying the car (at least not yet!), Max was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. When I viewed the car, there was no pressure at all from Max, just a genuine enthusiasm for cars and the customer experience. My follow up questions were researched and answered openly and honestly by Max, and every piece of available information was shared with me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Max at HR Owen to anyone looking for an open, transparent and genuine car buying experience.
Worth the travel time
I’m a little late leaving a review but so apologies, the service received from HR Owen Hatfield was exceptional, Stuart looked after me from the beginning all the way through and when i went I went to collect my car he did a full site tour with my son and and I, we weren’t rushed at all and nothing was too much trouble for any of the team, it was a brilliant experience and I would think twice before going elsewhere because of the curtesy we were shown, this is one of my very rare reviews because they deserve it, brilliant experience.
Frustrated customer looking to spend circa £250,000 on a new vehicle
Firstly, car park full of vehicles nowhere for customers to park
On arrival in showroom greeted by a receptionist and told where to go to look for a Bentley four-wheel-drive
Nobody approached us or offered any help for over 20 minutes.
Unbelievable bad attitude
Just called them about a used Ferrari and the guy on the end of the phone was so rude,yoiu can see damage in the pictures very clearly but he swore it was dirt,then i asked if the leather on the top of the dashboard was lifting as seen in the pictures he said yes it was bubbling so i asked this 'Ferrari' main dealer if they would be fixing it he just said 'the cars 10 years old so no'this is supposed to be Ferrari approved dealer and the car is just under 100k,i just found the attitude unbelievable.
I will never call this dealer again

Marcus was friendly, polite and professional, patiently answering all my queries, and even going as far as to ensure the vehicle was suitable for me. No pressure, or sales talk rubbish, just a genuine, good, honest salesman.
Collection day with Howard was quite an occasion and the reveal when the black cover was slowly withdrawn made one feel special.

Review for HR Owen Specialist Cars
I’ve previously purchased two Ferraris from HR Owen and always believed they were a brand I could trust. On that basis, I decided to purchase a Bentley Bentayga from their Stockport dealership without viewing it in person due to the distance, relying entirely on their reputation and repeated assurances over phone calls and emails that the car was immaculate and in perfect order.
Unfortunately, the reality has been nothing short of appalling. After leaving my deposit, I was contacted to be told the car had failed its MOT due to needing two tyres — despite it supposedly having just been serviced.
On collection, I immediately noticed the engine cover hanging off with multiple clips broken, the air box unclipped, and a filthy air filter inside. This alone raised serious doubts about whether the car had received any genuine service. But worse still, the rear seat belt had disgusting, thick mould on it — something that should have been picked up instantly on the so-called “used car check” that Sales Manager Martin kept stressing, and certainly on an MOT inspection. How this was missed is beyond belief and completely unacceptable for a dealer claiming to be a prestige brand specialist.
To add to this, the rear screen that controls the climate system does not work, leaving the rear climate fan running at full speed. This fault has been ongoing for six weeks, even after being asked to drive two hours each way to Hatfield to have it looked at — with no resolution.
When I asked Sales Manager Martin to have Bentley themselves service and inspect the vehicle properly, he refused, insisting HR Owen’s service was sufficient. Clearly, it was not.
This has dragged on for six weeks with me making all the calls to chase progress. When I asked for the vehicle to be properly serviced by Bentley, because I had no trust in the service HR Owen claimed to have carried out, Martin accused me of blackmail simply because I said that if they refused, I would leave a review to share my experience. That is not blackmail — it is my right as a customer to warn others when a dealer refuses to put things right.
This experience has completely destroyed my trust in HR Owen. What I expected was a reputable specialist dealer; what I received instead was service no better than a backstreet used car dealership. I will not be returning to HR Owen and would urge anyone considering a purchase to think very carefully before doing so.
Appalling customer service from HR Owen Manchester
Recently took delivery of a new vehicle from HR Owen Manchester and their service was absolutely disgraceful.
Car was supplied from day one with damaged paintwork which was not picked up during the PDI process. After promising these would be corrected they only made the problem worse due to failed smart repair attempts and a complete panel respray.
After challenging them substandard workmanship, they simply washed their hands of the situation and referred me back to my finance company to escalate the complaint. Avoid this specific dealership at all cost if you have any sense.

Despite promises from General Manager Karl Henderson himself to call me by 10am Friday following a call on Thursdsy apologising for the unacceptable service I had received...I’ve heard nothing. The service guy Levi promised to call me today, nothing. Sales rep completely ghosted me when I reached out. I’m told they’re understaffed and have over 100 cars in service
No updates. No urgency. No communication unless I chase. And still no call today.
Is this really what Ferrari ownership is meant to feel like? I'm gutted as it was always a dream to own a @ferrari and their total lack of care and communication has totally ruined it

What a fabulous place to buy a car. Professional, accommodating ,knowledgeable, friendly. nothing was too much bother. My car was beautifully presented and all the loose ends were tied up by Marcus who is a smashing chap. When you walk into the fabulous showroom you are greeted with the lovely smiley face of Debby who looked after me with any drinks that I wanted. As I said, a great experience.

Excellent service and experience with Cheltenham
I purchased a used Jaguar F Type with HR Owen Specialist Cars in Cheltenham. Will was a pleasure to deal with and prepared the car to an exceptional standard. He took the time to make the handover feel special and a real event. It was the perfect introduction to the car of my dreams and I would highly recommend Will and the team at Cheltenham. A premium service delivered by petrolheads who prepared the car to an excellent standard. Brilliant.

The most appalling customer service imaginable from HR Owen Stockport. Unresponsive, lack of communication, promises that aren't kept. I have now had 4 days of work disrupted. Was assured at lunchtime that my car would be back with me this evening - after 5pm I had a message to say it will now be tomorrow.
