Howdens Little Island Cork. Honestly, one of the worst companies I had to deal with in my life, I'm 43 years old this year. The amount of time we wasted over Howdens Little Island. We called in 4 times and still ended up with no quote afterwards. They said they would ring back, never did. They said they would email back, never did. Took my business elsewhere. I'm telling my connections to avoid Howdens Little Island Cork, the experience was just that bad.

Well here I am again.
I had my kitchen fitted July/August 2024. That was a shambles but I eventually got everything I was supposed to have which included a nice sleek induction hob. The first one went bang a couple of weeks after it was fitted. The second one seems to have been working since I had it but lately it's been - intermittently - making high pitched noises. Tonight it went bang while I was cooking on it. Two hobs in just over 12 months. Both went bang and died. THIS BRAND IS COMPLETE AND UTTER RUBBISH.

Howdens Kitchens
We have had the misfortune very recently to buy a kitchen from Howdens Kitchens at Garretts Green, Birmingham.
1. We discovered when the fitters arrived that the kitchen plan had vital mistakes. Even a colleague of the designer admitted that he was embarrassed at how bad her plan was. As a result the units delivered were the wrong dimensions, causing major problems and considerable delays for our fitters.
2. Secondly the wrong flooring was delivered despite the design we wanted being clearly visible on the plan. They showed little interest in providing the correct flooring and it took two days for our project manager to source the correct flooring.
3. The kitchen unit was too short leaving a gap and wasted space between the unit and the end wall. The half sink was on the left of the main sink not the right as we had specified.
4. The incorrect lighting was delivered and the project manager had to source the correct lighting himself.
As a result of all the mistakes and poor service by Howdens(we had numerous incorrect and damaged units delivered), it took five very stressful weeks for the kitchen to be completed not two as originally scheduled by our fitters.
Why the service was so bad is a mystery. The date below is only a guide because the fitting took five weeks.

Worst customer service ever. Stay away. They lie to you until they have your money, take wrong measurements, deliver things you never wanted and refuse to take them back, hook you up with completely incompetent idiots who destroy your house and then refuse to engage when you sit in the ruins of what was supposed to be your new kitchen.

I went into the showroom not really knowing what I wanted.. Went back a further two times and was greeted on each occasion with a smile and professionalism..

He was very knowledgeable and gave good advice with no hard sell.. Got two quotes and now have to decide which work I will go for..
All in all a good experience.. Can't wait for the work to start... Would definitely recommend..

Great kitchen quality, but the worst customer service and planning I have ever experienced. The builder had recommended a different branch, however we went to the one closest to our home which turned out to be a mistake.

I have been an account holder for over 20 years and Howdens has been very important to my business.

Over the past 2 years I've noticed their prices have increased dramatically compared to rivals.

For example, I was quoted £374 this week for architrave and skirting and the same product at Magnets was £211

They have a discount scheme and I am mindful that different traders get different rates.

A friend of mine whose ex-husband is a builder. Only occasionally uses the company .His discount was very generous compared to mine.

I do feel they make their prices up as they go along.

I introduced a customer to Howdens who purchased a kitchen and bedroom furniture.

I was told that I would get fabulous discount from this branch and that I would received generous discount on any products purchased at this branch .

It turned out this particular branch is more expensive than my local one.

Following their price structure Howdens are not my number one go-to place anymore.

I posted a review on 23rd May and Howdens said they would get back to me regarding my complaint. Not heard a word from them since. Appalling customer service.

This was Howdens Marsh Barton Exeter. I damaged a cutlery drawer in our 18 month old Howdens kitchen which we ordered through the very efficient Lucy.

I took the broken drawer into the branch where Neil fixed it straightaway.

I had feared a replacement might be necessary.

Great service.

All staff are friendly and helpful. Kitchen planner Roy Reay was excellent in all respects of planning. Anita on sales was very helpful when I was selecting units etc.
The gentleman who delivered all was so helpful and as he had to put items in different garages and rooms in the house, he was patient and accommodating.
We have a large kitchen and utility room and mistakes were made with items delivered or not! No problem. All was rectified without fuss or quibbles.
Highly recommend Howdens at Northfleet.

Pete in the Hedge End branch came to my house and designed a new kitchen even though I still had a wall that needed to come down. The finished result was better than I could have imagined. Everything arrived on time, the units and appliances and I now have a kitchen to be proud of. The staff at the store were all brilliant, I would recommend them to anyone.

Whatever you do avoid staples corner the designer ruined my kitchen and blamed everyone else, like builder should have picked up on his mistakes, and the manager backed him up

you have replyed to my review all nice a politly, for everyone to read, but in reality you are the most unhelpfull branch and do not care about customers once they have parted with their money.
