Luke at Howdens Fulham was brilliant, sorted next-day delivery to store for some shelves, and when we realised we’d ordered the wrong size, the refund was quick and hassle-free. Really friendly team and great service all round. Definitely recommend!

Go with Ikea and avoid wasting your money with these guys! Quality is the same if not worse
We got quoted 12K for what Ikea quoted 4.5K, then we've been chased by Howdens sale agent that MATCHED the Ikea quote.
The process has been awful: got the kitchen way before we needed it because the sale agent wanted to close his score (obviously made up some imaginary end of sale period). Got the order wrong so first we got handles missing, a cabinet door and even the skirtings were short. In all of this we had to pay extra so no more Ikea price match.
And at the end of all this? Soft close mechanism were the cheapest you can get on the market (metal sliders with plastic adds on to soft close). Not even Ikea sell these anymore?
We did complain and after weeks, they said they couldn't upgrade us for the same price although the agreement we had is that they matched "everything" Ikea provided.
A complete bunch of timewasters and cheaters if you'd ask me. Made us waste time and money for a quality Ikea was much superior at. Thanks for nothing and never again

If we could give 0 stars we would. Since the purchase of our kitchen Howdens customer services have been abysmal. Paid almost £500 for worktop (for a small kitchen) with no vapour barrier underneath. Had to add our own after the dishwasher steam started to cause it to bubble.
Had a stainless steel hob arrive from Lamona with laminations in the metal and a bulb in the extractor hood stopped working within the first two months. Sent a Lamona engineer out to assess- one of which left no record of his visit so we had to start all over again with another, who did fix the bulb but it stopped working again almost immediately. The third engineer agreed with us that the stainless quality was poor and would send his evidence to Howdens. Howdens reviewed and said it was due to poor maintenance ( the lamination was present from the beginning).
Our Lamona dishwasher broke around 9 months after being fitted and despite us refusing a repair and requesting a replacement as we felt this was completely unacceptable, Howdens refused to replace it and we were essentially forced to take a repair because we were left waiting for weeks on end for Lamona / Pacifica/ Howdens local branch/ Howdens customer care / Appliance after sales team to come to an agreement and respond to our requests. No one wants to take responsibility, everyone we spoke to passed us onto someone else and we went in circles. No apologies, no reconciliation, no regard for their customers whatsoever. I would avoid Howdens at all costs. They do not seem to care that you have parted with your hard earned money, the service is more like that of a budget kitchen company, yet the prices are premium.
Just to be clear this kitchen was purchased in January 2025 and fitted by February 2025, so DO NOT expect your worktops or appliances to last for more than ONE year.

"Big freezer with <4 years life span.
The freezer is pretty large, with a display when you open it telling you the temperature. The Freezer worked fine for over 3 years, then it failed. Food dosposed off, tho it does have a maximum temperatureso you can see how warm your freezer got. The guy on the end of the phone for guarantee wasnt clear or useful, got transfered and told to pay £ 169 to get somone out.. but what about parts, what about if they have to return? All these questions didnt get answerd by the guarantee, hence it got disposed off."

Staff we great not happy for what we paid for as we need up with only 6 cabinets and a dishwasher and ended up paying more that 2.5k and when we asked to get a quote on more it came to too much won’t be buying more as it was expensive for what we got and we had no storage to fit anything
A sham from beginning to end .
A sham from beginning to end .Had five deliveries with stuff missing each time .so fitters couldn't complete the job in time given .Designer miss measured so work top wasnt going to be supported enough.Fitters had to take it all out and re fit.The work top people came back only to tell us that Howdens had supplied us the wrong casing for our oven and out hob would stand proud of the worktop.To rectify that they supplied us with a thicker worktop.Just to finish off they then disputed the invoice my fitters put in for the extra work and so I have had to cover that .A job that should have taken a week took a good 3 months and caused us so much stress .JUST DONT USE THEM
Kitchen looks good and feels great for…
Kitchen looks good and feels great for my dad who is now 90. A door was missing had to travel two hours fully to get replacement.
Was told it would be free, had email confirmation to that effect, then tried three times to get my money back was not able to so they added another £90 to bill.
Always a great service
Always a great service, with smile. It is a different feel. Everyone in the depot takes you as a family. Always love to get my stuff from howdens in hounslow.
Very Dissapointed
Just moved to Wales went to Howdens thinking big company they will look after me, how wrong can you be rubbish from start to finish felt rushed into paying kept being told that I had a fantastic deal massive reduction....fitters came all the measurements were wrong so that was the start, bits missing had to keep phoning them up....the lady that I dealt with didn't take any responsibility just kept telling me that she had done a lot of running about delivering bits all at no expense to the company as she delivered them in her car but stuff that should have been delivered in the first place....I asked for a detailed invoice but was told I would not understand it so to this day i have not received an invoice....I have since had a problem with the Lamona cooker top badly marked I got in touch with Howdens told as i have had the cooker top since February there is nothing they can do about it....but it didn't get fitted until the end and the marks are in the stainless steel it's rubbish....if you are thinking about a new kitchen my advice is don't go to Howdens in Brinmenyn the most stressful experience ever and bad customer service would not recommend this company! Started 10th March finished in May!!!!
Very poor service from Penge branch .Poor quality worktop
Howdens staff namely Penge branch were aggressive and rude . The general impression of the staff was extremely poor after I raised an issue about the very poor quality of a worktop my builders purchased for me. I would definately not recommend them as they were surprisingly very dismissive after we spent a small fortune with them to be bitterly disappointed when the work surfaces started to deteriorate after only a few months.
Refused to Accept the New Items to Process Refund
My carpenter(MK6 4HS) in Milton Keynes requested to purchase Eight OB1 Sealant and a few tubes of MitreBond for his carpeting project at my residence. Following the completion of the job, there remained one sealant and MitreBond that were not utilized. The carpenter instructed me to return these surplus items to Howden.
The woman working at the front desk declined to accept the items on 6th March at approximately 16:50, citing the following reasons:
1) She mentioned that the OB1 Sealant was purchased on sale and, therefore, could not be returned.
2) Additionally, she pointed out that the MitreBond was not adequately packaged.
I am greatly disappointed with the conduct and explanations offered. The level of service in terms of refunds provided by the merchant falls short of my expectations. I spent over £300 on a variety of items on a single project from HOWDEN, however, they are demonstrating reluctance in refunding items that have not been used.

Raised concerns with my local howdens to try have them investigate why end panels and corner poster going from white to off white the rest of the kitchen is fine. No phone call in return or willingness to rectify an issue with certain products.

When you go for your design…
When you go for your design consultation would it be fair to assume that if there was any issues with design or handles you selected that it should be pointed out at that point??? I can confirm they do not. Our kitchen included enclosed fridge and freezer which has handles in the centre of the door as advertised on website, when fitted it was clear straight away you could not open the fridge or freezer door without serious two handed pressure, this was and still is underlined by the fact my 7 year old simply cannot open the fridge or freezer door. The second confirmation of door pressure being excessive is within 3 months we have had to have all the internal fridge/freezer door connectors replaced due to the snapping. We escalated the issue to our tradesman who in turn confirmed it’s a howdens design issue, we complained to Howdens and guess what the response was design is complimentary service and any issues need to taken up with trades person as they are a trade only organisation. Well at 3.45pm tomorrow I have an appointment with a solicitor, legally we will find out who is responsible!
Great service and insurance cover
The main reason for giving a five star review was the service attitude and attention I received from Alison in Milton Keynes concerning my van insurance. She did all the right things then went and secured a good deal by asking her manager and I was then a happy punter and agreed to a policy which suited me and my van perfectly. Thanks Alison you made the difference.
Avoid Howdens for worktops
The units were not a problem although there were a couple of wrong things delivered. The quartz worktop company owned by Howdens were dreadful. My advice - avoid them and go elsewhere
New Kitchen
I would like to say, Bev at the Croydon Branch was so helpful, with her expertise and eye for detail, my kitchen looks how I'd visioned it. With Bev guidance and professionism, I left the store with confidence that I had chosen the right kitchen. I may have called her on several occasion with changes each time she made me feel it wasn't a problem and a smile.

Buying my new kitchen, doors and flooring- so professional and helpful
Buying my new kitchen was very easy with the excellent service from the people at Rochester , especially Eddie the manager, nothing was too much trouble whilst choosing, visiting the office numerous times.
They are always willing to help even months after buying the kitchen, flooring and doors, giving help and assistance on things they really don't have to. Just recently scratches on the flooring made by moving furniture around and advising how to get them out . Excellent after sales service, would recommend to anyone.
