At some point in the process of looking for homes - first time buyer, 67 years of age, feeling rather shaky about what I am trying to do, an estate agent at Wards, referred me to Homewise given my age.

In no time, I was called by the calm, professional, knowledgeable Charlott. I felt my hand was being held by a most competent person. No “e” at the end of her name, take note.

Charlott has explained the bare bones of home purchasing for me. She clarified how HomeWise would purchase with ALL estate agencies in England and Wales, and all the help that she would give me.

Today I once again flooded Charlott with details over the phone, and she carried on listening to me. She asked pertinent questions, so I know that she was listening to me. What a star and how lucky I am.

There have been a few obstacles that I have had to wait on. Charlott has not given up on me! She is not only kind but extremely patient. I could not feel more reassured.

Everything went wrong i bought a lifetime lease from home wise about 5 years ago and I not happy with the property at there so many faults with the house which some of jobs I had pay for my self as I am 75 years of and finding it very had to do and I will not reckonmeding to anybody as homewise should not be trading 😞 😞 😢

Homewise Nightmare, just writing to let people know about the experience I had recently.The owner of the property I was purchasing was using Homewise for the onward purchase.
It was a total nightmare they caused us delays ,gave dates then changed saying weren't ready ,seemed un organised,
Lacked communication. Cost me fines for cancellation of mover due to their last minute cancellation.which then took weeks not days to sort.Seemed to have no regard for the stress they were causing So as warning if you have them in your chain beware.

Homewise explained how they work in conjunction with the lifetime lease. What the advantages and disadvantages are. I am very happy to have financial freedom as I am currently renting £1200 per month. Just to know in a few months I only have bills to pay this is the best decision I could have made and the property I am in the process of purchasing is my dream property.

I would strongly recommend Homewise even some of my colleagues at work are looking into Homewise on what they can offer them.

Together, Jordan and George have been so helpful, and always available either via email or phone. It was lovely to meet George in Portsmouth, who took me and my husband through the contract. We just look forward to sealing the deal and moving in now.

From first interaction with the Homewise site and subsequent discussion about using your service I was most impressed with the quality of help and service provided. This made making choices much easier because processes and issues were carefully explained and because I was given a 'one-person' contact who kept in touch with weekly updates my journey was good. I dare say, it wasn't always simple and not without much stress but Homewise did their utmost to get me to my chosen destination.

Not as advertised. False advertising

I found everything was fully explained and I was able to ask any questions in order to make the right decision as to whether Homewise was right for me. I have no doubt that it is.

They put you at eas go through all the documents make sure you understand what you are sighing.

we have the added advantage of dealing with george we all treat each other like friends rather than client/advisor he has a can do attitude which is refreshing as a couple we would 100% recommend homewise and if you are lucky to get George you will get a bonus

Great communication from the team at Homewise. Every detail was explained fully. Well worth looking at.

Initially we had tried selling our home from November 2024 but only had three viewings and no offers. For personal reasons we needed to downsize into a ground floor situation with nearby parking. Our selling situation had not changed by February 2025 and so we explored other options. The one that ticked most boxes was a ground-floor apartment in Riverain Lodge, a Churchills Retirement property of 72 apartments situated centrally in Taunton. We had several viewings, and we had one reservation on us making a decision. We had viewed a flat in the Locking area of Weston Super Mare, and also a McCarthy & Stone establishment on Beach Road in Weston Super Mare, also a Local Authority complex of apartments on the edge of Taunton, but those all had one thing in common. No allotted parking space, no consideration for a Blue Badge Holder, and nowhere near enough parking spaces for the number of apartments. What was available was all on a first- come, first-served basis. The parking issue was, and still is, an issue but after a lot of soul searching we focused on Riverain Lodge as the one that met most of our requirements. The options to consider were a straight forward sale and purchase but that would not happen without an offer on our home. Alternatively a lifetime mortgage, or a bridging loan, but we decided that was not an option. The remaining was a home exchange in return for a lifetime lease on one of the apartments in Riverain Lodge. The Home Exchange entails having up to 3 valuations and reports on our home by independent Estate Agents and of those one is chosen and presented to a panel of five companies. They decide if they are prepared to make an offer on purchasing your home which one did but as advised any offer would be considerably lower than the market value as those companies purely buy cheap and sell high. But through the lifetime lease plan the offer price would enable us to acquire the apartment and move in within a short time and Churchills offered incentives also. As well as Churchills being involved, Homewise were also involved with the purchase of our company acting on behalf of the company purchasing. My contacts with Homewise were George Brodie, Customer Accounts Manager, and Katy Aitken, Customer Account Handler. I cannot praise and thank them enough for their communication and support through what turned out to be very stressful, but that was through no fault of Homewise.

Customer service is very good I hope to speak to Gary soon and clarify a few things but I am alreadt looking for a new house. Thanks Homewise.
