Not a NZ company
The website gives the impression of being a NZ company but sells US-sourced items shipped from the US. Fine if it is dinnerware, but not if it is an electrical item, i.e. US voltage and plug. Their support is non-existent before the sale (I tried contacting them to ask whether a toilet seat warmer was indeed a US item with no reply), so I took a risk, and to my complete lack of surprise, it was unusable here. To their credit, after-sale support was quick, but a full refund would only be given if I shipped it back to the US at my cost. So I took the "15% and keep it" refund. Having found that such an item can't be sold on Trademe, off to the bin it goes.
PS To follow up, I was contacted by HomeLoft who apologised for the inconvenience (again) and said they would look at the case. The result was a one-off offer of a full refund as a voucher for future purchases, so I am going to add an extra star for the post-sales customer service (but not accept the voucher on the basis of once-bitten twice-shy).

Typical scam website
Typical scam website. I thought it was strange that they had a set of tupperware priced at $104 (no more than $20-30 at a supermarket). Quite disappointing.

UNETHICAL, DISHONEST SCAMMERS
I ordered two somewhat expensive mirrors with this company. The order took some time and then once it arrived, was an incorrect order. The mirrors were the wrong colour and were also poor quality with scratches on the corners. They have informed me that I will need to pay over $1000 for shipping to get my refund and the item I bought was only $600. I have had to legally assert my rights and file a claim against them for their breach to the Consumer’s Guarantee Act. Unethical business! Do not go near them. I couldn’t write a more negative review if I tried.

Should have read the reviews! Same as other reviews - I was under the impression this was a New Zealand business. I cannot find them on the NZ Business registry and so hoping its not a scam. Ordered a shelf 20 days ago - the tracking number says its in GERMANY! What the. I think this is a "real" business, but running in a non transparent way from abroad...pretending to be local with a Auckland address. It is risky to purchase from this company, I am curious as to whether this is a legal way to operate here

Goods are not made in NZ but ship from USA
I’m very disappointed to learn that the product I ordered is shipped from the USA after the fact, when I received the international shipping confirmation from DHL. I was under the impression that I had bought made in NZ and it was rather expensive for a simple seat, I thought I’d do it anyways to support our country’s economy. The item has still not arrived, so I’ll update this review once received and assembled, it better be good. Will not buy from them again.

Don't have Lofty Aspirations and Do your Homework
I purchased an expensive Door Screen for my wife after she provided me with a link to the item on HomeLoft NZ’s website.
After a delay, the item was shipped from New Jersey, United States of America.
The item was of inferior quality and nothing like the product still shown on the HomeLoft website.
A simple request to return for a full refund turned into weeks of emails, tickets (36 in total) and counter offers (120% off your next purchase!)
Even though the agreement for a 100% refund was finally accepted, the refund still didn’t happen within the promised timeframe.
I then disputed the card transaction through my bank, and the transaction was voided for a full refund.
A couple of points:
1. Don’t believe the reviews on their website - they offer a 10% discount on the next purchase.
2. You can’t access their customer support system by creating a logon. Every email generates a new ticket, which is crazy and time-consuming. You are harassed about any feedback you give.
3. If you are unhappy, dispute the transaction through your card issuer immediately with a clear description of the issue.
4. Immediately close your account.
Post Reply Comment: Handelnine Global t/a HomeLoft NZ requested further information after I posted this review. After this was provided, they attempted to call my wife and then sent a further email. Hopefully, the harassment has stopped.

I mistakenly purchased an expensive shower head from them thinking they were a NZ based company.
After 3 weeks of waiting and many emails I demanded my money back which has been done.
After every email I sent you recieve a bizare customer service questionare on “how was your experience”
There was no experience , just a nothing.

Initial communication was poor
Initial communication was poor, 0800 number does not work and initially there was no response to emails. The dispatch was slow with no clear answer as to when the product would be dispatched. After reading some reviews, which were not good, I was concerned this was a scam. But thankfully once the product was dispatched, delivery was prompt. And the product is great although expensive.
