Brilliant service..easy to assemble..great communication..

My experience with Home Done has been extremely disappointing and I would strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution before purchasing.

I requested to return an item and was informed that I had to pay a £31 collection fee upfront. When I attempted to make the payment, my bank blocked the transaction due to fraud detection. Rather than offering a secure payment method or simply deducting the fee from my refund, I was then asked to manually send money to a PayPal account linked to a Hotmail email address, which I found highly concerning.

Communication has been poor throughout. Tickets were automatically closed, responses were delayed, and I was unable to contact the company by telephone. To make matters worse, when I finally opened the item, I discovered that it was damaged, with a crack around the fixing point making it unsuitable for use.

As a customer, I expected much better. Instead, I have been left dealing with a faulty product, unusual payment requests, and a frustrating returns process. I have now had to escalate the matter and seek assistance through my payment provider.

Based on my experience, I would not purchase from this company again and cannot recommend.

Ordered a bed with Home Done on the 29th of May, received a delivery timeframe of the 1-4th June which seemed quick.

When I didn’t hear anything further by the 3rd of June I decided to check reviews, this gave me doubts about my order but after calling customer service I was sent a dispatch email with my tracking details and the correct product arrived in tact within 2 weeks of ordering.

No issues with this product or company, would recommend.

Good product

Order placed and received. Upon checking the order to use, damage was noticed making it unfit for use and photos/video sent. We asked for a refund rather than replacement as we didn't want to risk a repeat situation, having lost complete confidence in the quality of service and said product. We received an email back denying any damage and that the item would be treated as a consumer return, with us paying to return it for a refund. Being a very heavy item, this is pretty disgraceful behaviour and against our consumer rights. So, as it stands, I guess we have no option but to raise a dispute via our payment method and also trading standards. Avoid this company at all costs. Totally unprofessional and exceptionally poor product and customer service. It wasn't even a better price than other legitamate businesses and it seems we are now stuck with it until this is sorted out through the appropriate channels. Totally stressful experience.

Ordered goods, couldn't fulfil and charged me regardless!

I ordered 3 air con units from them, got order confirmation, the next day the item was low stock and they put the price up and then the day after they were sold out at an even higher price. This gave me one of those funny feelings where you know something isn't right.
I contacted customer service to confirm they'd be dispatching my items and was told that they couldn't "because we have sold out" - I countered with the fact they were still in stock the next day but was assured they definitely didn't have them but would be awaiting a resupply from the manufacturer - I asked if they would honour the original price and they said they couldn't as well as also saying they wouldn't know when any would come in. I had to then cancel my order with them but even though they didn't dispatch anything - they took the full amount of £660+ I was advised that they were sorry to hear of my cancellation and they'd refund me in 7-10 working days.... What an absolute scam... how can someone charge you when they have no intention to deliver at all. Luckily I paid on Credit Card so if they don't return my money "in the next 24-48 hours" (I've just been told) then ill pick it up with the CC co.

I would not purchase from this company again and would advise anyone thinking of buying from them, not to!
I ordered a sofa and subsequently disputed whether the item supplied matched the description provided at the point of sale. After raising my concerns, I was required to pay a £169 collection fee for the sofa to be returned.
The matter then became a prolonged dispute regarding my refund. I was repeatedly told that a refund had been processed, but no funds were received into my account. Despite many months of correspondence, the issue remained unresolved and I ultimately had to issue County Court proceedings to recover the money.
The case progressed all the way to a final hearing date. Witness statements and court documents were exchanged, and I incurred court fees in order to pursue the claim. Only shortly before the hearing did the company agree to settle and make payment.
In my experience, what should have been a straightforward customer service issue became a lengthy and stressful process that lasted many months and required court action before it was resolved.
I would encourage anyone considering a purchase to read all reviews carefully and make their own informed decision.
The dispute lasted approximately 10 months from my original complaint to final settlement.

Bought 2 bamboo trees. Don't be fooled by this company. They were not of either the quality or colour stated on the website. Cheap rubbish. Then when tried to return they make this so difficult for you and beware You need to pay for all returns at your own cost. Their customer service was shocking too. Avoid using this company at all costs.

A few problems with the delivery courier and Home Done weren't the greatest at sorting it out but we got there in the end and the pool we bought is great.

Had to change delivery address but this was done with no problem

Its a bit early too say as I have only just ordered my chair , but so far it was a smooth process in ordering my chair .

Can't fault either, however the shipping situation via Amazon was an absolute joke,
Four parcels dispatched on the same day, one eventually arrives at 22.00+ but sign of the other 3 units.
Day 2 .....3 parcels due for delivery but delivery estimate gets later and later to the point it's no longer given....a case of wait and see.
2 finally turn up, both left outside both with visible puncture marks on the out packaging. What's worse is my wife has serious hand issues and couldn't lift the boxes into our property as both were excessively heavy(21kg) and so I had to bring them inside after got home from work.
The last 1 arrived god knows when via a different van and we were greeted with it when we tried to open our front door, but as that opens outwards, it was extremely difficult as the last package had fallen across it.
Quite clearly Amazon don't train their drivers on how to place items safely or securely...or how to use common sense!!
As I said MH star appear to be a good company but their choice of courier lets them down badly.

I ordered the Delano 3 + 2 high back seater and got confirmation email. Delivery email said Dylan 3 + 2. I called and emailed to ensure I would have the right items delivered, to which I was assured I would be. However, although I was delivered the Delano, you sent the scatter cushion back, not the high back!
