Melanie Foster at the Westhoughton branch was fantastic. We were selling our first home and buying our second, and she was so efficient and friendly. She always responded to emails the same day, and answered all of our questions comprehensively without using meaningless jargon. The last few days of the process were incredibly stressful for us (we were left having to exchange, complete AND move on the same day because of the actions of our buyer), but Melanie worked so hard to expedite matters and maintain communication between parties. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. I would highly recommend HCB, especially Melanie, to anyone wanting to buy/sell property.

Having recently been made redundant, I needed a professional to oversee the settlement agreement documents and HCB were local to me. L'Wren was polite, friendly and professional throughout. She took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. I felt that nothing was too much trouble and was always welcomed with a smile. I would happily recommend L'Wren and HCB.

Absolutely shocking service from their conveyancing team. Solicitor failed to tell us for over a week that our buyer's buyer had pulled out, didn't send queries until very close to exchange and at least 7 days after searches had been completed. Solicitor then left and new one took over and sent some queries the same again and then more. Attitude of solicitor was it was all about them and not their client which risked completion date and setback exchange date to day before completion which they knew wasn't acceptable. Pedantic about names on documents requiring an extra £120 per person to be spent on confirming the person with the middle name was the same as the person without the middle name. Kept leaving queries until end of day. Very slow at replying to emails and never answered calls from our agent.

I have just sold a property and there was a couple of hiccups along the way which Abigail dealt with very professionally.

Sold my Mother’s house using HCB Solicitors, liaised with Raj and Aisha from HCB who worked professionally and diligently on our behalf to execute the sale in an expedient and diligent manner. Very pleased with the support they provided.

I have used HCB Solicitors twice over the last three years. The first time was for the sale of a house, and subsequently the transfer of a commercial lease.
The service I have been on both occasions, has been exemplary. My calls were always answered promptly and efficiently. Where follow up emails were required, they were sent immediately.
The house sale was very straightforward, but the commercial lease transfer was anything but.
Four parties were involved, but after much prompting from Pam finally after 2 1/2 years the assignment was completed. Why it took so long, was not for the diligence of HCB, who tried and tried to get the other parties to get there act together.
I will have another property sale in the near future, and will not hesitate to use HCB, hopefully dealing with Pam again.
