Had a fantastic meeting on site to review our new house - Its not often developers invite you to see your house in the making (Harron Homes are clearly proud of their product) - Sylvia has extended that invitation twice with a third opportunity to witness the electrical install next week along with Lee & Chris (Site Managers) who have been very accommodating, giving us the comfort of knowing we will be handed a brilliant HOME. A special thanks to Sylvia who right from the beginning has kept us well informed, providing constant feedback along with facilitating in our upgrades and finishes with the added bonus of progress pictures - We are nearing the end and are looking very much forward to enjoying our new space. We moved in at the end of February 2025. We had some communication issues just before moving in due to staff changes in the sales department. However after moving in Aaron and Bev (Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager) have been really approachable, helpful and willing to discuss and resolve any snags or issues. Bev has worked through our snagging list and kept us updated on progress throughout. We love the house, the estate is really peaceful, and the neighbours are genuinely nice people.

Throughout the whole experience of buying our house I felt like we were very well looked after. There has been the typical snagging and arranging of workers to come and fix them but all our snagging has been very minor stuff. The house itself has been finished to a high quality and we had great experience with all staff members. Notable people we’ve engaged with are Jeanett, Julie-Anne, Paul and Joel.

We couldn’t decide between 2 styles so Charlotte guided us to near by show homes so we could go and look.
This was great and helped us make our firm decision. We then found the plot we liked was a year away before completion.

We are over the moon we have been able to early bird reserve the home we really want. It’s being security and excitement knowing we are first to be notified about the plot we really wanted. The home isn’t ready to reserve officially for a few more months. It’s early bird reservations is something new to Shipley and we are the first to do it! It’s such a great option for us. It’s so reassuring we will get that plot.

The area is stunning and everyone is so friendly. Charlotte has stayed in contact with us throughout and been so so helpful. Lovely character and keeps us informed throughout. Can’t wait to continue our journey with her.

Make all their promises through the sales process. Tell you things will be done etc etc. Then when it comes to dealing with matters they simply refuse with excuse after excuse. Take forever to do anything. Refuse to hold a meeting with management. Honestly Keepmoat have better service than these cowboys.

I popped into your Carlton development in early march to be met by your sales lady Carol. I explained that we probably wouldn’t be moving until next year and would be really interested in the Walkworth show home. Carol asked if we had seen any others i explained we had but we didn’t want to be in the middle of an estate. Carol advised me to have a drive down the back roads of Carlton and find the development which I did! Long story short we have been in our home 2 weeks and we love it! We love the Salcombe home we bought and our views are amazing! I can honestly say if it wasn’t for Carol we wouldn’t have bought a property on this development. She is a little gem. Also, I need to mention Ben who works on your site, he is so helpful, very friendly and an asset to your company.

Taking them to court due to a breach of contract with our neighbours! They have built a summer house bigger and wider and their house! Absolutely over shadows our garden and completely ruined it. It states in the contract that this isn’t allowed but yet harron homes haven’t taken action! Completely ruined living here

For anyone looking for a house in the Ilkeston area, I couldn’t recommend going to Shipley Lakeside and speaking with Charlotte enough! Charlotte is so friendly, welcoming and thoroughly knowledgeable. She also listens to what you are looking for and doesn’t try to push things on you that you don’t want. A fantastic representative for Harron Homes.

Julie-Anne, Paul and Joel at Harron's De Maulay Manor have all been excellent, making our first ever new-build purchase go so smoothly. The quality of the house is perfect. We've been in just under a week now and the 3 minor issues we found (I expected to find more but try as I might I couldn't) have all been rectified quickly. They have all checked in on us a couple of times this week to make sure we are happy with the house, and it all helps to feel like home already! Julie-Anne very thoughtfully even put us a bottle of wine and a few cans of Guinness in the fridge on move-in day, and they were needed! Thank you to them all.

I got introduced to harron by a family friend who recently purchased a house. Walked into reception, met with Janette and we viewed the show homes.
Janette was professional, calm, listened to us, gave constructive advice and opinions where needed and guided us thoroughly on the process.
She was receptive and willing to help in any way she could.
We went through some challenges and lost hope at some point. She encouraged us and gave us feedback.

I had a great time viewing shipley lakeside with charlotte the site was well maintained. Stunning views and hoping it is our new home.

Liz really helped us out at thorseby vale where we were able to view the property show room we so desired and we were not disappointed.

Went to Shipley Lakeside twice this weekend. Charlotte was incredibly helpful, had great local knowledge and knew the answers to all the questions we asked about the plot. Really great experience all round.

She also located the nearest show home for the type of house we are interested in. Liz at Thoresby Vale showed us round incredibly helpful and accommodating even at short notice.

Julie from Low Ridding has been amazing throughout our journey. From the moment we met her 7 months ago to being only a few weeks to completing on our new home, she has been brilliant. She has constantly kept us up to date, has always had our best interest at heart and has done her best to make our part exchange process as easy possible. All of this combined has made the move to our new home very special and we can’t thank Julie enough for this.

We can’t thank Ann at Brierley Heath enough. We have reserved our new home with her and she took us through the reservation process, choosing our flooring, cupboards, tiles and so far all is going swimmingly. Ann has been so helpful, this is such a lovely development, we get regular pictures and updates from Ann on the build stage of our new home, Ann answers emails promptly and is so very helpful. We can’t wait to move in.

We have owned many new build homes over the past 20 years from the majority of the largest UK house builders and earlier this year we purchased a Dunstanburgh from Harron Homes at The Brambles, in Retford. The quality of the house is fantastic and any snags we have had, have been dealt with, with care and speed and an understanding from Harron Homes that the quality of their product matters. I am extremely impressed with the onsite team, and in particular the assistance and approachability of Liam Killeen, one of the site managers here. I would certainly purchase a Harron Home again and would recommend The Brambles location to anyone looking for a quality, tranquil area to move to.
