We bought a house with Harron Homes earlier this year. Initially things were a bit slower than we'd have liked, as so much of the building process depends on the weather. But once the roof was on and the inside completed things were able to move along more smoothly. Their sales manager was amazing, understood what we were looking for and got us a great deal.

After moving in, their site manager was fantastic at doing a thorough walk through with us and making notes of things to follow up on. They were very prompt the first two weeks in sorting anything out.
After that things slowed down a bit, as they are still building several more houses on the estate and need to balance those with taking care of those of us who have already moved in. However, they have made sure to touch base from time to time to let us know things are still on their radar (nothing major, just the usual move in snags).

We did have an issue with the garden as it was riddled with holes that were trip hazards; turns out the landscaping company they used hadn't been thorough when laying the grass, so as it rooted and settled down on all the rocks underneath it became very bumpy and a risk to anyone running outside.
When we told Harron this they sent someone to check, and arranged for the landscaping company to completely redo our lawn. An inconvenience to deal with after move in, but the customer service from Harron has been excellent.

We have no intention of moving anytime soon, but if/when we do, we wouldn't hesitate to buy with Harron again.

Awful, been in our house at Thorpe Meadows for just over a year and had nothing but trouble. Terrible developer, builders, after sales staff and very poor quality houses. Currently in process of submitting a formal complaint to the NSBC. They just aren’t bothered, we’ve had to have our garden ripped up by them because they couldn’t be bothered to lay it properly in the first place, for us to sort it out ourselves as the second attempt from them was so bad! We found hardcore, plastic and all sorts under the turf and a poorly laid patio. Leaking hot water cylinder from the cheap heat pump system and was left with no heating for a month! A sinking driveway, toilet not bolted down properly, poor drainage externally so rain was flooding our garden. The customer service team aren’t bothered at all, we’ve complained to them multiple times but get left hanging never to be contacted unless we ring up chasing. False promises when buying the house, don’t fall for it. Very very very poor from all aspects, amateur staff all round. Honestly if you could see the way our sinks and flooring was sealed, it would put you off buying these houses. Save money and go elsewhere, can’t wait to receive help from the NSBC and show these cowboys how serious this is.

We have had countless issues since moving into our property at Thorpe Meadows. The latest one being a mouldy en-suite floor from a leak back in April - the leak was fixed the floor wasn't even checked by Harron Operatives at the time resulting in lino lifting & bubbling. The current issue has been ongoing since September 19th - countless phone calls and emails to customer services to no avail - keep being fobbed off with excuses. All I want is an en-suite that we can use with replacement flooring! Will be making a formal complaint in due course.

Ricky (Sales Executive) at the Sandlands Park development) has a great personality and an absolute pleasure to work with and we really enjoyed his company throughout the process. When we were presented with any challenge he was always calm, understanding, supportive and single minded about getting us through to having our dream home. Totally professional but also friendly too; responded promptly to our questions and also kept in touch with us throughout the entire process. He has some great properties so if you are considering your next home in Nottingham be sure to see him first. He's a joy to work with, knows his stuff, looks after you and will do a great job for you. He comes highly recommended from our experience buying our home from Harron Homes

We are in the process of doing a part exchange for a plot on Shipley Lakeside. So far the process has been so straightforward thanks to Charlotte, she has explained the whole process in depth to us and really put our minds at ease. Charlotte is so approachable and knowledgeable we'd recommended booking a visit to anyone interested in Shipley Lakeside.

My husband and myself decided to move to Yorkshire from Kent to be near relatives. We looked at every development in the York area and ended up at the Harron homes development in Howden. We were immediately impressed with the houses and the whole site. We were also very impressed with the lady in the sales office, who introduced herself as Nicola, she was so helpful and friendly we felt perfectly as ease. Nicola sat us down and we chatted about what we were looking for and soon we were looking around the show homes.
After returning home we stayed in touch with Nicola and eventually we decided on the house we wanted, and as we started the process of selling our existing house and buying the new one, Nicola was always at the end of the phone advising and helping us. Altogether it was an enjoyable experience and now we have moved into our new home we are delighted with it .

Our experience so far from our initial enquiry to reservation has been very positive.
From the very start Josh has made every stage stress free, he has been amazing, helpful, knowledgeable and above all patient with our many questions on many visits. He is always professional, polite, friendly and always happy to help.

What first decided us to buy from Harron Homes was the location of the development at York Vale Gardens in Howden Yorkshire, then after calling in at the sales office and meeting the Harron Homes representative Nicola, who was so helpful without being pushy, just guided us through the various properties on the development and answering any questions we had. We eventually decided on the house we wanted to buy, and throughout the process of selling our existing property and buying the new home, Nicola was always on hand with advice and assistance.
We purchased Carpets and flooring through Harron Homes and when we moved in we were delighted with the standard of finish. Since moving in, everybody on site has been really helpful with any little jobs we wanted done. Overall my wife and myself would highly recommend Harron homes to anyone looking to buy a new home.

Well I have shown interest in Chariots Keep since the day the site opened, particularly in plots 5 and 6. I attended the show home launch a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed but couldn’t commit as I wanted to research the water plant that was close to the properties, also recheck finances. I telephoned the site the following Sunday and left a voice mail as I wanted to go ahead with a reservation- I guess they didn’t want my business as to date no one has called me back- so sorry Harron Homes I have now been offered a great deal with another builder! What a shame as I loved the plot and the quality. You won’t sell houses if you don’t call your potential customers back!

We have been in our new home now for 6 weeks and have been so impressed with how we’ve been dealt with by everyone at Harron. Sarah from the sales office was amazing, she felt like a friend to us to be honest and was always on our side with every request we had. We fell in love with the countryside location and due to our chain situation we really had to push to get in but Sarah and Aaron the site manager and the team did everything to meet our date, with all hands on deck. As things were rushed through there have been a few cosmetic snags, but nothing we wouldn’t expect, particularly with how they did everything to meet our date. Aaron has always been top class, and gone out of his way to work his way through the snags we have, and every trade we have dealt with have been friendly and helpful. After we had a disaster of my own making after drilling through a radiator pipe, Aaron was on hand again and got his plumber round to us as soon as I told him what happened and even sorted the repair for us free of charge. We are currently in the thick of the building site, again we knew this, so while not ideal with the noise etc, all the site guys are really friendly and let me use their skips! They certainly don’t make excessive noise and are cracking on with the houses around us. We’re looking forward to getting some neighbours soon. A big thank you to Sarah, Aaron and everyone at Bilsthorpe Chase for getting us into our forever home and always being on hand to help. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

From our very first visit to the showroom to the date moving in and and beyond I have nothing but praise for firstly Charlotte who guided us through the process,and her supporting team who have since visited us ,in our new home.
It has been a speedy process and we are currently in the early stages of enjoying a beautiful new home.

I cannot say enough good things about Harron Homes. Having previously bought with another developer (Miller) I didn't have high expectations for my experience buying another new build. How wrong I was. From the moment I walked into the sales office at Shipley Lakeside, I was treated with respect, kindness and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble for Charlotte and it made the decision to reserve very easy. The communication was top notch every step of the way and I felt completely in the loop as my new home was being built. I even got weekly progress pics and nice videos of the site to keep me excited. The mortgage advisor and legal team that harron recommended were brilliant and even though there were a few hiccups with the sale of my old house, they dealt with these swiftly. When moving day came I was absolutely delighted with my house - the build quality is superb and the finishing is excellent. The few snags I had were dealt with in a matter of weeks and I genuinely felt cared for by Jamie and Richard. Honestly if you're in two minds about going with Harron, let me tell you, it will be the best decision you can make. The site is stunning, the homes are immaculate with every attention to detail catered for. I would a hundred percent buy another Harron home in a heartbeat.

Moved into Shipley lakeside the other month. First time going to the sales office we was looked up and down by a snotty sales women and got shewed off to speak to their mortgage advisor (which we had already done). Went back again and spoke with a different lady (Charlotte) who helped us from start to finish. The only let down was using their recommended solicitors- wish we had used our own. Communication was poor, all paperwork was done online which was a right pain and miscommunication between Harron homes and their recommended solicitors. Was told one thing by one and another thing by the other!
Would I buy from Harron homes again: 50/50- nice house don’t get me wrong but the experience with everything has probably put me off.

We have watched the development at Laughton Gate, Dinnington S25 since inception. We are now downsizing and happily found the right property for us on that development. It is often said that moving home is one of the most stressful undertaking in life. As an experienced Estate Agent, I certainly witness at first hand how this can manifest and certainly do all I can to ensure the customer experience is as stress free as possible. Therefore, I know good customer service when I experience it and we are fortunate to have an effective and efficient sales negotiator in Josh. He clearly has a good grasp of the details of the homes on the dfevelopment, is generous with his time - nothing is too much, has a host of ideas which he generously shares to ensure we craft the perfect home to suit our needs. In all our dealings with Josh, he has been friendly, engaging and always has a smile. He is a good communicator and is at ease with people of all ages, as we witnessed when older friends accompanied us on a recent site visit. He is an asset to the company and we happily endorse and commend his service! Thanks Josh.

It is no surprise that homes on the development are selling well. On the recent site visit (Sunday 28th September 2025) I was impressed by the finish of the screed floor which was as smooth as glass! We have visited several Harron Homes developments and have been impressed by the quality of workmanship and finish.
We are about a month from moving into our new house and we are excited about making it into our home.

We moved into our Harron Home (Sandlands park) 3 weeks ago and overall would say it’s been a good experience.
Our sales advisor Ricky was brilliant from the off- always clear on the process, friendly and engaging. I hope your hard work is appreciated!
We did expect snags with a new build, and overall wouldn’t say we have many, with most being minor cosmetic fixes. So far John has been great at getting these resolved for us, and he is still on the case! I have probably spent more time worrying about snags than necessary as in reality when we are raising issues they are getting documented and addressed. No, not everything is fixed within a matter of days, but there is clear progress which is all that matters for us.
We are very pleased to be settling into our dream home and hope our experience continues to be positive.

We’ve recently purchased a home at Cressacre Green in Harlington and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The service from Shelly, Warwick, and Martin has been absolutely fantastic. From the very beginning, Shelly kept us fully informed, responded promptly to our queries, and made the entire process feel smooth and reassuring.

Martin, Warwick, and the team have done an outstanding job building our home—the specification is exceptional, and we’re genuinely impressed. They’ve also reassured us that they’ll be on hand should any issues arise, though I doubt we’ll need to call on them. If we did, I’m confident they’d resolve things straight away.

Having bought a house before, we can honestly say this experience has been completely different—in the best possible way. We’re so excited to get our keys next week. Thank you all so much!

A few months ago we visited Chariots Keep and spoke to Allison Melia regarding the Otley Bungalow.
We found her friendly and very knowledgeable about the options open to us.
Having explored the Harron Homes home buyer scheme we put our house on the market with the recommended agents.
The whole process was very easy.
For personal reasons we have had to withdraw from the home buyer scheme.

Called at Chariots Keep this afternoon for advise about bungalows. Alison was extremely helpful and explained everything clearly for us. She gave us more ideas to think about and showed the plots available, and what we could do with them, regarding parking. We went away with plenty to think about, she was most helpful and extremely easy to understand, explaining things clearly for us. She also told us about the part exchange they do, which was most helpful and gave us another option. Thank you for all your help
