Dear Molboe,

I wanted to write to you personally.

I have read your review and looked into exactly what happened. You were right to be disappointed. The rewards club email you received told you that you were £20 away from your free gift. That figure was wrong. A fault in one of our older automated emails meant it told customers they were £20 away, regardless of how much they had actually spent. You did exactly what the email suggested and placed two further orders, and you should have been rewarded for it. The fault was entirely ours, not yours, and I am truly sorry.

I would like to put this right. A full-sized candle is yours, with our compliments, and you are very welcome to choose the fragrance. As you are in the middle of a move, please just let me know the address you would like it sent to and the best time for it to arrive, and I will make sure it reaches you safely.

We have also asked for the faulty email to be corrected so this cannot happen to anyone else.

During the delivery issue, our team was actively following up with the courier, urging them to prioritise the delivery of your parcel and provide an update on its status. Unfortunately, we were also awaiting their response, which contributed to the delay in providing you with further information.
