Ordered cheese pasty last week and was very disappointed, too much flaking pastry and not enough filling.this week I thought I would try the new cheese roll, wish I hadn't bothered. Very dry, overcooked and little filling, Never again!

The brilliant craft bakery team made a beautiful birthday cake for our special family celebration. It looked fabulous and the sponge was so soft and light. Not to mention the jam and butter cream layers inside. Delicious!

Excellent quality of product and service at a price which fully matched my expectations.

Order booked on Tuesday for delivery Friday. It was not delivered on the Friday. Greenhalghs blamed my bank, Rebecca said they would put it on for a driver to deliver Saturday, which we accepted as we needed the cakes for the party at weekend. Waited in all day Saturday and nothing turned up. No cakes for the party. Nobody at Greenhalghs at weekend able to help. I emailed about my order twice, by 11.30am Monday I had still not heard anything so I called them. I asked to raise a complaint about the situation and service and the person I was speaking to (Rebecca again) said that she was the one who deals with complaints. So basically the person who deals with complaints about the situation she arranged is…herself. She said they can only deliver it tomorrow, which is a week after I ordered it. I requested to cancel. We make large regular orders and will never order again. Maybe hire someone to work Saturdays if you are offering deliveries on that day.

Good food and good service all delivered as promised.

My orders were not in the shop when I went to pick them up. The lady had no idea until I showed my confirmation email so she started calling around. Didn’t get the order til after 12. The lady was lovely though very helpful.

Food was overpriced and below standard. Staff was lazy, disrespectful and ruined the experience. I had to contact head office due to mistreatment.

This was my first tasting of a Greenhaigh pie. I’m sorry, but I found nothing to commend it at all. The pie crust was as I would expect - not flaky nor rich and byputtery. Just plain dull. Then inside of the Butter Pie was- mashed potato! I was totally uninspired by the whole product. They will be going unbaked, in the bin. I’m hoping my Cheese & 1 Potato will be different - and better? I’ll 5ry it soon. Oh dear.Thor

This mng was the first time I have stepped into the Blackrod Greenhalghs shop for over 30 years !
My 86yr old Mother fancied a steak
pie, I was met with such an enormous selection of pastries and hot sandwiches to choose from I was spoilt for choice.
As well as the steak pie I myself
decided to get a sausage muffin, omg the best and most plentiful sausages on it I have ever tasted, it was delicious.
Plus I have to mention the two very friendly wonderful ladies serving in there Michelle & Candice, what
fantastic customer service from them both and a credit to your workforce
I hope they get to hear about this review from management

Tasty pies as always. Always great for any occasion.

I have to say you came up trumps for me I don’t get out much and needed a small birthday cake for my son you kept me well informed and even rang me to let me no what was happening thanks so much for the lovely cake and being a company that cares

On May 3rd my wife bought some brown barmcakes from Greenhalgh's Wigan town centre shop, they were dated May 5th, when she opened them at home they were not fresh, in fact they were stale. She took them back to the shop on May 4th and the shop refused point blank to exchange them, saying they were still in date and had been opened.
1) They may have been in date but they were not fresh
2) How are you supposed to try a product without opening it?
This is appalling customer service and my wife will not get food from Greenhalgh's again, they charge a premium price and in this case the product was not fresh.

Pies and cakes tasty. Delivered as arranged. 3 times now and all good

The food was very nice and the delivery was timely, staff were very helpful with my query despite it not being their area!

Had the chicken and mushroom pie and it It is absolutely divine and I will certainly be buying more,would highly recommend.
