Great opportunity to discover and build your network
I participated in the 23rd edition of the Young diplomats forum held in London, and I would encourage any individual who is curious about diplomacy to participate, regardless of where you might be in your career.
It is a wonderful way to build your network and discover what opportunities might be out there. I must also commend the staff who organized it for their great work and their support that has continued beyond the conference.
If you are looking for a way to build a genuine network that you can rely on and are looking to discover new opportunities, this is the right place for you.

Participating in the Global Diplomacy Forum was a truly rewarding experience. What stood out most was the quality of the discussions and the opportunity to engage with talented individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The forum created an environment where meaningful conversations, practical learning, and professional networking came together naturally.
I gained valuable insights into global affairs, leadership, and international cooperation, while also building connections that continue beyond the event itself. The organization was professional, the sessions were relevant and engaging, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I would highly recommend the Global Diplomacy Forum to students, young professionals, and anyone interested in diplomacy, policy, and global leadership. It is an excellent platform for learning, collaboration, and personal growth.

My understanding of Geopolitics and how diplomacy work was deepened when I attended Global Diplomatic Forum’s YDF(Young Diplomatic Forum) 2018 in London. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of young diplomats from around the world and also leaders representing countries around the world. It really is the best platform that gives you what you won’t learn in schools or out there in public. It’s exclusive access.
Learning Diplomacy in a chaotic world
I have been going to the Young Diplomats Forum for the last 6 years and can’t get enough of it, the connections, meeting diplomats the movers, the shakers and change makers has been such an experience. It’s always a very intense week of activities whether Europe, London, Washington, Beijing or other parts of the world. I would definitely recommend any young people interested in a career in politics and diplomacy to try it.
An Eye-Opening Experience With Wonderful People
The staff at the GDF put on an excellent event series. We benefited from engagement with diplomats and policy makers at the highest levels, and had a wonderful time exploring the city while we were at it.
I would highly recommend the GDF and any of their Young Diplomats series for anybody interested in international relations, diplomacy, or just better global citizenship.

Necessity of YDF

Say yes
Some journeys stay with you long after they end. For me, the Young Diplomats Forum has been one of them.
My relationship with the Forum began in 2014, when I had the opportunity to volunteer in Mexico. At the time, I was a young professional eager to learn, connect, and better understand the world beyond my own borders. What I did not realize was that this experience would become the beginning of a journey that would continue for years to come.
I later had the privilege of attending the Young Diplomats Forum in London in 2019 and again in 2022. Each experience reminded me that diplomacy is not only about institutions or international relations—it is about people, ideas, and the belief that meaningful dialogue can shape a better future.
The Forum brought together individuals from every corner of the world, each carrying different stories, perspectives, and ambitions. Yet we were united by a shared curiosity, a desire to lead, and the conviction that our generation has a role to play in addressing global challenges.
I am especially grateful to Mr. Younes, whose vision has created far more than a conference. He has built a platform where young leaders can dream bigger, think globally, and realize that opportunities often begin with a single conversation, a single connection, or a single decision to step outside of their comfort zone.
Looking back, I see much more than the events themselves. I see friendships across continents, inspiring conversations, unforgettable moments, and a reminder that the world is both larger and more connected than we often imagine.
To anyone considering becoming part of this community: say yes. You never know where the journey might take you. What starts as a forum can become a network, a source of inspiration, and, in many ways, a window to the world.

YDF Queretaro-Mexico
The YDF held in Queretaro was a great experience as an International Relations student to get more involved in the Global conversations with the participants as well as networking. The program was very well planned for all participants to experience local culture.
2018 Young Diplomats Forum in London
I had an excellent experience on the Young Diplomats Forum in 2018 in London. The program was interesting, varied and really worthwhile. With the mix of embassy, parliamentary, think tank and private sector meetings we had (including with Facebook), I gained a deeper understanding of the stakeholders involved in diplomacy. The presentation aspect of it was really good as well -a chance to get together with cohort members to come up with a policy idea and pitch it to our peers. And being with the other young diplomats and hearing their experiences was great. Only other feedback I would give - making the presentation at the end more structured, with a bit more guidance on what it should look like (e.g policy, paper to a minister, etc). Loved being in London for the program, especially during the World Cup, it was a great setting. I wonder if a short simulation (e.g crisis at NATO’s border) could also be weaved into the program (half a day max) to give participants that experience? Thanks
Building global future leaders through hands-on experience
I had the privilege of attending two GDF forums, one in Mexico and the other in London. Both forums were meticulously designed academically and professionally to equip future leaders with the skills and knowledge to address and solve domestic and global issues. I was truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from a diverse group of former and current foreign policy experts who generously shared their invaluable experiences with us. These forums have had a profound impact on my professional career and have broadened my perspective on the world and the challenges we face daily.
