This is not a low cost platform if you invest in US stocks. The fx charge are 5-10 times higher than truly low cost platform but these are hidden. I was shocked to find out that I had been charged over 5 figures (£20k+) in fx charges. Truly shocking be careful

Fee transparency is essential to us, and our FX costs are never hidden. They are explicitly displayed on the order confirmation screen before you confirm a trade, as well as fully itemized on every Contract Note.
Our FX conversion fees range from 0.99% on our free Basic plan down to 0.39% on our Plus plan. For larger or frequent US stock trades, our higher subscription tiers significantly reduce FX costs.

Excellent choice of Funds, Investment Trusts and ETF's. Far cheaper dealing and admin fees compared to most of the other platforms. I use the phone app and the website on my PC without any problems. Fully recommended.

Do NOT put your money in FREETRADE
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience so far. I added money to Freetrade ISA account and they are not letting me withdraw my own money.
I have contacted their customer service everyday for 8 days straight. Everyday I got the same reply saying “Unfortunately we are still working on your withdrawal issue, thanks for your patience”
I am not able to access my own money, and they are not even giving me a timeline or anything.
Basically everyday I am being told thanks for your patience but we don’t know when you will be able to withdraw your money.
How many times am I supposed to hear the same scripted response before somebody actually fixes the problem?
I was specifically told this is a technical processing issue rather than a security or safety issue. Fine. Technical problems happen. But what is completely unacceptable is leaving a customer unable to withdraw £3000 for over a week while providing virtually no useful information about what is actually happening.
The customer service has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a financial platform. There is NO urgency, NO transparency and seemingly NO individual willing to take responsibility for actually resolving the issue.
I shouldn't have to spend 10 consecutive days chasing a financial company about my own money.
And the fact that I'm contacting them repeatedly just to receive another generic response makes the whole situation even worse.
Absolutely unacceptable. I would not recommend Freetrade based on this experience.
Over £3000. Since 14 September. Still inaccessible. Still waiting. Still getting the same responses.
DO NOT TRUST FREETRADE WITH YOUR MONEY.

Quite good
Good choice, the monthly fee seems a bit much for what you get compared to competitors but justifiable when considering that’s their pricing model and fee structure in this highly competitive market. Shame they got rid of fractional shares

I use the company for a long time to do the stock market .
They were taken over by IG in April and I have tied since then to get my money back and statements of my account .
It has taken me till today 6 months to do this very time consuming and frustrating
I would suggest never to use them
Very unprofessional and rude
I am going to take them to court to get paid wasted time with them

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear your deposit hasn't appeared in your account as expected.
When a deposit doesn't show up immediately, it is usually because the transfer is temporarily unallocated. This can happen if:
The deposit was sent from an unlinked account, joint account, or business account.
The reference number was omitted or mis-typed during a manual transfer.
Your bank name doesn't exactly match your Freetrade profile name.
Please drop an email to reviews@freetrade.io or reach out via in-app support with your account details and a proof of transfer (e.g. bank statement screenshot). Our team will be happy to trace the funds and get them allocated to your portfolio right away.
Good platform, but UK gilt selection needs improvemen
Freetrade is easy to navigate, straightforward and simple to use. However, its limited range of UK gilts prevents me from giving it more than three stars.
I wouldn’t expect every gilt to be available, but I would expect a sensible selection of both low- and high-coupon issues across a range of maturities—ideally at least one every five or six years in each category. This would allow customers to build tax-efficient or higher-income portfolios with suitable duration diversification.
At the time of writing, none of the low-coupon 2029, 2030 or 2035 issues I looked for were available. For higher-coupon gilts, the choice appeared to be limited to just two, with maturities in 2032 and 2053, leaving a substantial gap.
For a UK investment platform, and given the importance of gilts in long-term asset allocation, income generation and tax planning, Id expect a much broader and more thoughtfully structured range

We completely agree on the importance of UK Gilts for fixed-income strategies, duration diversification, and tax efficiency (especially given the Capital Gains Tax exemption on Gilts).
We continuously review and expand our asset universe based directly on investor feedback. Having balanced maturity ladders across both low-coupon (tax-efficient capital growth) and high-coupon (income-generating) issues is a valid point, and I have passed your specific suggestions regarding the gaps in 2029, 2030, and 2035 maturities directly to our Product and Stock Universe teams.

Not as good as Trading 212
Not as good as Trading 212 - interface not as useful and also funds / even individual shares were not available to buy. I've literally only just been able to access IAG (British airways!).

Be very careful with these just charged me £17 per share to transfer 5 us stocks £88 in total to T212 no one else in my experience charges this also there fx fees are very expensive they will reduce this however you need to upgrade your plan even then they are expensive your best just joining trading 212 so much cheaper bad move from me hope this helps others

Great customer service when you can communicate with a ‘human’.
I have an S&S ISA which was easy to set up. Easy to credit my account and buy shares in the funds I am interested in.
I like the app and think it’s clear and shows what is happening with the shares I purchased.
