Competitive price. Very friendly staff who also gave some nice suggestions to places to see in Iceland.
Nice and clean car (Dacia Duster) with fine space for 4 people.
We had some change in departure time and the staff were very flexible about car drop off.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with FOSS Car Rental. I had so many questions in the beginning and they answered each one of them with such an understanding and kindness. They are very responsive and definitely your best choice for a rental car in Iceland. We rented a 4x4 Mitsubishi Eclipse car and it was perfect for winter Icelandic conditions, we faced some pretty bad ones and it didn’t let us down haha. They are very flexible with pick up and drop off time and locations which is amazing. Couldn’t recommend more!!!

I want to say a massive thankyou to Arnaldur for the service they have provided my partner and I. Before going to Iceland, we were looking for the best rental company for a decent vehicle. We came across plenty of options but all were soooo expensive and have expensive insurance packages with very tight conditions. We then came across Foss Car Rental and were instantly drawn in by the very reasonable price. After looking at reviews, we decided to go for this company, what a great decision that was. Not long after booking I got a message from Arnaldur who was already arranging collection from the airport. When we arrived we were way ahead of the planned arrival time and I had a message from Arnaldur saying he was already on his way as he had been monitoring the flight. We were driven to the cars location by Arnaldur and his sister who are both such lovely people and were giving us a guided tour on the way to the car. The experience of the car was great, we rented to Dacia Duster 4x4, the car was lovely and reliable. There was a warning light (only caused by the extreme cold temperatures), I messaged Arnaldur and within seconds he called me and told me exactly what to do. The light went away. The car had stud tires (in winter), heated seats and was a very good drive. We also recieved a message half way through our trip from Arnaldur saying the northern lights were out that night to ensure we did not miss them. Honestly, cannot recommend this company enough. Don't bother with the large companies, they are just after your money! Foss Car Rental care about the experience you have in Iceland and it really does show. It was like renting a car from a friend!
There are only limited reviews as this is a smaller rental company, don't let that put you off.

Could not recommend Foss car rental enough! After being let down last minute, these guys arranged a car for us, on New Year’s Eve, while we were waiting to get on our flight over to Iceland. The car we wanted was being returned that day, so they cleaned, fuelled and delivered it to our hotel while we were in the air. They were waiting for us at the airport and took us to the car, went through all of the details and made everything straight forward. Arnaldur was so helpful, and on our journey he gave us loads of tips for our visit. He kept in touch throughout our trip to see how we were getting on, and to arrange a suitable pick up time for our return flight. He even stopped off on the way to dropping us off at the airport so we could see the northern lights, which made our whole trip! Thank you so much to Foss car rental, you saved our holiday and all at a brilliant price.

We made a last minute request for a car to be delivered to our remote hotel in bad weather. The guys really went out of their way to help and delivered a car to us without any problems after we were told that there wasn’t a company that would help us . Every communication was friendly and professional. I could not be more grateful or happy with the service. Thank you !

We rented a 4x4 from them for our ring road trip in Iceland. They were very friendly and helpful, the company offers convenient car pickup/dropoff locations(including the airport) which can save you some additional transport costs. Also their prices are very good and affordable - without additional costs for the kilometers traveled or huge security deposits.

The personal contact with the Foss crew made everything easy; they helped us with everything, and the car was exceptional.
