I had the most amazing week with Flavours Holidays on a cooking trip in Tuscany! The villa was stunning, the group was lovely, and the whole experience was so well organized. Our chef was fantastic – I learned so much and had such fun in the kitchen. The excursions were a great way to explore the area, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. If you love food, travel, and meeting great people, I can't recommend Flavours enough. Already planning my next trip!

My fourth Pilates holiday with Flavours was excellent with high quality teaching, excellent accommodation in Morocco, good food and opportunities to explore.

It's impossible to share a favourite part of this holiday – it was all magical. From the accommodation, the villa staff, the excursions and experiences, it was all outstanding.
Recipe for an excellent holiday:
Take one stunning location (Morocco), add an amazing villa and stir thru a great group of women. Allow to infuse with excellent meals and activities (Flavours organised). Sprinkle over thought-provoking excursions and leave for 7 days.
When all are relaxed, rejuvenated and restored, return to their natural habitat to hopefully return again!
Seriously though, it was great! For me being in a country I wouldn’t necessarily visit as a single female traveller – it was magical. Flavours provided the safety and security to go off the beaten track and see the true country. Its a winning formula!

I went on an excellent pilates holiday to Marrakesh in November. The villa had lovely gardens and views of the Atlas Mountains. There was a large custom built studio for the twice a day pilates classes and there were some varied and fun excursions too. The villa was very luxurious - all very different to when I backpacked and camped around Morocco over 40 years earlier!

This was my fourth Flavours holiday. Previously all cooking holidays in Tuscany and Sicily. This was a little different a taster holiday in Marrakech. It didn’t disappoint. Lovely villa, nice group of nine, some cooking, walking, visiting markets and the Atlas Mountains. Great introduction to Morocco

We had a marvelous time staying in Raf and Kate's hacienda. We learnt many new culinary skills and experienced great tasting experiences trying out new ingredients. Such a beautiful peaceful location and fantastic hosts. The trips out to Seville and Eriz were well organised and we had great fun in the local tapas restaurant. Thank you for such a wonderful time and special thanks for arranging birthday surprises! You two are special.

I recently stayed in the glorious Hacienda Buena Vista, Seville for a Pilates and Nordic Walking holiday. Susie our tutor was very knowledgeable, professional and great fun. Our hosts, Raf and Kate were so very generous with their hospitality, nothing was too much trouble, any minor issues were dealt with promptly and any changes in the itinerary were managed with care and consideration for the guests (the weather was beyond their control!) The food was delicious and plentiful at every meal and the Prosecco and wine flowed. This was my 5th Flavours holiday and it was fabulous, thank you Team Flavours x

A big thank you to Vanessa, for her hosting skills and tutoring us with humor, patience and lots of FUN! For making the stay in her home in Venice feel like I was a guest at a relaxing house party. And also thank you to Margherita for her skills in looking after us inside and outside the villa! The food is amazing, the villa is beautiful and Venice, even in the rain, was very special.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week in Morocco - 1st class in every way. Felt that Flavours were a cut above their competition.

I have been on a number of Flavours Holidays…all Pilates and this one lived up to expectations. The villa was lovely, plenty of room inside and out, the pool good too. The chef, Julia and the hostess were lovely and contributed to making it a great holiday and Diane, our Pilates teacher,excellent as always..as well as being lovely.

This is my first holiday with Flavours and won’t be my last. From my first phone contact, to informative emails,and zoom meeting, which culminated in a fabulous Marrakesh holiday, they have certainly put together a winning formula.

Another great experience with Flavours, this time in Morocco. Wonderful villa, the staff in there were really nice, they even prepare 2 special moroccan dishes and told us how were made. The drivers make us feel secure in an unusual type of traffic, for us. The tour guides so knowledgeable and patient, answer all of our questions. Giulia always happy, always helping us and giving everyone of us what we’d like, her planning was tremendous but she had all us happy and ready to go. I had a terrific time!!!! can’t wait for my next Flavours experience .

My third holiday with Flavours, a little different this time a photography holiday in Marrakesh which more than lived up to expectations. Hosting by Guilia and photography tutorials and daily assignments by Mark were spot on just the right level to be enjoyable and informative. Lovely friendly atmosphere with like-minded people made for a great week.

Having experienced a Flavours holiday in Puglia which was so lovely, expectations for Morocco did not disappoint. The beautiful colonial villa appeared as the gates opened. Spacious and inviting, good food attentive host and staff, excellent tutor.

The first two cooking holidays I went on with Flavours were amazing experiences. The chefs were very knowledgeable, the cooking lessons lasting around 3 hours each and covered starter, main courses, side dishes, sweets and desserts, it was extremely interesting and interactive. The meals we didn’t prepare were of a very high standard and delicious.

Last year I chose to go on another cooking holiday with Flavours to Seville and unfortunately the cooking experience was extremely poor. The kitchen was too small and ill equipped for the number of guests to prepare food safely and therefore the hands-on cooking was very limited averaging around 75 mins a lesson with us only preparing a main course dish.

The food was basically a variety of different stews, oxtail, cuttlefish, vegetable tagine, and the desserts were predominantly bought in. As the villa was very remote, there was no opportunity to go to a local town in all the spare time we had due to the lessons being so short. The chefs attitude was quite unusual, his comments made it clear that he would prefer to just rent out his villa than be involved with cookery lessons or providing meals for guests.

Flavours emailed all course members a couple of days into the holiday and several of us expressed our concerns at this point.
On my return I completed the customer feedback and requested a call back, I then had to email 2 weeks later to ask when they would be calling. I had further discussions with 2 members of staff before I then had a conversation with the CEO of Flavours, her attitude was dreadful. She claimed that no other guests had left negative feedback about the holiday, when in fact they had, and stated all other previous guests had rated the holiday very highly.

I was offered £200 off a future holiday but I believed that I should be compensated for the holiday that I had just had, before I considered booking another one.

This was sold as a cooking holiday, it cost £1899 (this price does not include flights) and promised ‘a truly inspired gastro experience where you will be cooking up a storm with our local Andalusian chef’.
After a number of months I reached a most unsatisfactory settlement, which was basically take it or leave it. I can only hope that Flavours take on board all the constructive criticism and actually deliver their future guests a holiday they will remember for all the right reasons.

I have just come back from a really amazing holiday in Marrakesh with Flavours Holidays.

It was a painting week in the lovely villa of Azaren, located in the South of Marrakesh, near Ourika. That villa is only for “Amici” of Flavours Holidays, but you become an amici as soon as you have done one trip.

I was there with 10 fellow travellers keen to paint in that lovely environment. There were a few people who had met previously during another Flavours Holidays trip, and a couple. I have to thank all of them for making this week so special : great fun, humour… I really enjoyed everyone’s company.
The host, Frank, was brilliant. Always attentive, ensuring that everyone was happy, creating a lovely convivial atmosphere.
Thanks to Mark, our painting teacher, for his positivity, dedication, enthusiasm and patience.

It was so good (and not surprising) to hear that the company was the winner in the category for Best Travel Company for special interest holidays at the British Travel Awards 2024 in the middle of the week. Lorne and Frank go above and beyond to make each holiday so special.

It was my trip number 12 with Flavours holidays (I have tried Painting, Pilates, Nordic walking, Speak Italian and Taster week) and it won’t be my last one.

This was only my second cooking holiday with Flavours (the first was in Puglia in 2022). But this was a holiday of a quality that I’d come to expect of the company, the villa was stunning, if not a tad remote but that added to the relaxation! Our host William and our tutor (and chef) Carmella were fantastic, and my fellow cooks were great and everyone contributed to very enjoyable experience. To reflect another post - for me, the stay plus flights do add up to quite a lot of money for just one week's holiday but it’s WELL WORTH IT. It is value for what was included and the balance of lessons, excursions and time to relax were well thought out. All the staff in Edinburgh also deserve a “round of applause..” as they’re always helpful and communicative.

What was most memorable about my holiday was the caring attentive staff. Our cook made each meal a delight, and Celia our art instructor was really encouraging. Mikayla our hostess tied herself in knots to make everyone happy.

Our trips to visit the towns of Modica with its steep hills covered in tiny homes crowded around there gorgeous churches, and Marzamemi with its quaint fishing harbour and delightful town square. To Syracuse with its Roman ruins and fabulous marketplace, all offered us wonderful opportunities to sketch, while sipping coffee or wine, and being briefly a part of these places.

The villa needed to replace a few pieces of furniture but the pool and the open sunny villa space was lovely.

Pilates Holiday in Sicily . I am really sad That I feel the need to write this review . The accommodation was not fit for purpose and was described by guests as resembling a bus station or youth hostel. It was in fact a wedding venue ... there were 7 of us it was cavernous with no atmosphere . For the 7 of us there were not enough soft seats to sit and chat on , meaning dining chairs had to be used. The lighting was stark and bright , we needed to bring in bedside lights to soften the atmosphere. For the first two nights the pool was full of wasps and unlit .The mattresses were so uncomfortable that our backs hurt .There was a lack of hot water , one lady celebrating her 80 th birthday had no hot water all week. The host was lovely and innovative and tried to rectify things and by day 4, three mattresses were changed, and the pool cleaned and lit .
The worst part of the company was the customer service who 3 days in requested feedback, when submitted they failed to respond. We were contacted a few weeks after returning to the uk and then in November received a generic email which included :
"Whilst I am very sorry that you needed to raise issues regarding several aspects of the villa, I am pleased that the host and villa owner were responsive to rectify these within the duration of your stay. "
Sorry flavours that's not good enough. The accommodation should have been checked and ready , this was not an apology just a ' what are you moaning about it got sorted, response' The pilates was good the chef and host were kind , the accommodation was not fit for purpose and the complaints procedure and customer service appalling . I will never use nor recommend the company again.

From arrival at airport to departure everything is taken care of. Warm welcome at the villa by our art tutor and host and delicious dinner waiting for us. We had a really enjoyable, interesting and relaxing week in beautiful surroundings. Both the tutor and host exceeded expectations and made this a week to remember.
