I need to be honest - Second Chances
I need to be honest, my experience with Excel was difficult in the beginning. I struggled with their staff follow through and meeting expectations. NOW, I have a new project manager, Davin, and he's amazing! We've only been working together for a couple of months but it is a night and day comparison. Davin is pleasant, professional, he follows up, and he gets things done.
Because of Davin, I'm staying with Excel!

I love that excel is based in Chicago. I picked it out based on the Citizen Potawatomi Nation came from. The book was a journey to say the least. They helped pave the way. Your insights brought meaning to my life. Thank You for the help. I look forward to my next book with the company.

Excel has delivered what they promised!
I worked with David Basley on my first book 43 Years in Education. I absolutely love the cover design and he walked me through the process step by step to publish my book. On book #2 I am extremely pleased with Brandon Ross and his help. He has my book moving along nicely! I’m excited to work with these two professionals!

Very disappointing
Very disappointing. Whatever they promised me, did nothing. I could not get my own copy either. No audio book as promised. No press release. No brochure. Took such a long time to even publish it. Very disrespectful....They keep saying they will do it and it is over a year and still they told me the same. I gave up on them. Such an unprofessional agency.....

Excel Book Writing was exactly what I needed to complete a writing project I’ve been working on! I’ve had two excellent project managers in Mr. Anthony Connors and Mr. Davin Lobo. The truth is not in this company
The truth is not in this company. This company does not stand by its word and does not honor its agreements. I made it clear from the very beginning how dissatisfied I was. The poor responses were acknowledged and followed with empty promises ("I will personally see to it....") After a year of problems (passed around to different project managers, different writing teams, poor writing quality, poor communication, etc.) and giving them multiple "second chances to make it right," I requested the refund guaranteed in their contract last fall. The company representatives would go silent and after a couple of months of pestering on my part, they would schedule a call to discuss the logistics of a "settlement" document. Then, the call would be canceled. The last call I received, during which I was assured that the matter would be resolved right after the first of the year, was in December. It of course was not. I could go on, and I am not the type to flame anyone, but after about two years, my patience is at an end. (If you look at the other unsatisfied reviews, this appears to be a pattern.) Their money back guarantee appears to be a sales ploy that they have no intent to honor, short of a lawsuit forcing them to do.

Sincerely,
I regret my partnership with this company
I went through a lot of frustration dealing with this company. First, There is a lack of communication, to reach someone to hold them liable for work they say they are going to do. The time it took for them to accomplish task. Plus they didn’t honor their contract. I was sold on the upgrade; I was told the website was for a lifetime and they cancelled or lost my website after 3 years. No accountability from the collective team. Plus, they wanted me to purchase another website/domain after it was lost. I feel like I lost more time than was helpful to launch my book.

Strange Crazy Sad Stories Why People File Bankruptcy
Alister Lucas - Senior Project Manager and Anthony Connors - Project Manager were both instrumental in assisting me in completing writing my book. Both were very helpful in designing a Book Cover and Website for my book as well as promoting it. I will always appreciate both their guidance and advice.
Thank You

Not a pleasant experience
My experience was great for two reasons. 1. A finished product that is beautiful and 2. Ethan Rogers who took over the project and brought it to fruition. The experience was not pleasant from the beginning. There were so many communication issues. Ethan was the only saving grace. It was he that stuck it out and helped me through all the issues.

Excell gets a 5-star review
My experience is and has been excellent.
I have high praise for my 'handler,' Sophia Miller, and the website person, Alice Peters.
They have stayed in contact regularly and made the process easy.
Their staff of editors and designers are excellent are instrumental in making my book, One Thing After Another and Then..., a success.
It lacks only final approval from me before it goes to press.
Now we are working on the website, and I expect it will go just as smoothly.
If you're looking for a book publisher, give them a call.
