Alice Cooper 21st October 2924. Expensive ticket. Too crowded couldn't see at all, since I am disabled and can't stand which I checked with venue. Had to leave and push myself through everyone standing in the aisle where they wasn't allowed to stand. Tried complaining and basically it was my fault

No problems here,beautiful art deco theatre. I was up in the circle ,second row up so quite near to the stage . No much legroom but OK for an hour or two.A perfect venue, not too big or small .Entrance is swift ,the usual bars are busy,but cashless so I bought nothing, should have 1 bar accepting cash.

This venue has zero regard for its patriots who have paid good money to be there. Its customer service and complaint handling is non existent. One guy was carried out of the show I was thrown out of (for taking one photo) and he claimed the security had bitten him. I have since tried to get some kind of clarity from the venue but unfortunately their management team are completely incapable of complaint handling and resolution

After purchasing tickets to see matt rife 18 months ago, my husband and I were very exciting to come and see who we thought was a fantastic comedian.... awful experience.. just as alex was out first we were sitting enjoying his performance. Security came over and told me to follow them... meaning I missed what was going on... just to then be accused of filming!! I didn't even have my phone in my hand. 3 security people escorted me out. It was rather intimidating and I proved through showing my phone that I had not done anything wrong. Regardless I missed a chunk of the show and was left feeling really rubbish. I did not enjoy matts performance.. much funnier watching videos on line. Really felt like he could not be arsed to be there... then security all night were taking people out same as they did to me. It completely ruined the experience. One after the other. It ruined the while evening. Do not recommend going here!

Staff started ejecting people for getting out there phones and recording which is fine, but then they got happy and handsy ejecting people who they "thought" were doing such thing including me who got my phone out to check who was calling (kids were with a babysitter) I looked at the phone showed my partner who was calling and was ejected for recording the show? I offered to show them my phone and they all laughed and said its production rules, the worst part was production themselves only asked we put phones on silent not have them locked away so the bullying of so called power from the staff is diabolical. I was then told I couldn't wait at the bar for my partner to finish the show and I couldn't use the toilet I was to leave immediately? I have never been more confused, angry and dissapointed at a venue before and will not be returning. 15months I waited over £200 spent and all ruined by some young uneducated non trained people the Apollo hire called "staff"

If you go to the comedy show (Matt Rife 17/09) and laugh, you'd get told off for that. Just FYI...

Very autism friendly!!!, I couldn’t find any fault with it. Nothing triggered me at all. I’m 18 and a walking stick user due to a knee injury and I also have these weird tremors/spasms in my hands, a lovely usher noticed this and helped me to my seat so I didn’t spill my drinks too much.

We upgraded our tickets to be in the fast track/queue jump, which also gave us access to a lounge. We were stood in the queue for it with others and had access queue right in front of us, the main/original queue went in way before any of us did and there was even people in wheelchairs and crutches who didn’t get in first when they were supposed to so had to navigate their way through a crowd of fans and again, the rest of us who paid for first access were still waiting on our tickets to be checked whilst the main queue was already swarming through the doors, why advertise an upgrade to get first entry when we don’t get first entry? As well, I didn’t get searched at all when going into the building like they were supposed to and had the equipment to do so which at first I was thinking ‘great I can just go straight in without waiting around any longer’ but then I thought, who else havnt they searched? They don’t know who I am, I could’ve had absolutely anything on me and they would never have known, going into a packed arena with hundreds of people inside. It’s dangerous and a breach of security measures. And on top of that, the bar refused to give any drinks to us and said the drinks arnt until the end of the show (which makes no sense since most people will just leave) so before going to the tube station, we went to the bar to get a drink because we didn’t want to be packed into a tube line and they said the bar would be open and serving drinks and the end right? No. They said they arnt doing any drinks and that everyone gets one drink at the start of the show and nothing else. So we got lied to by the members of staff. There is only one staff member who was nice which was the one who was checking people into the ‘exclusive lounge’. Won’t be going here for a concert again due to the poor security, scamming and lying.

I took my daughter to the Fletcher show last night, we were standing at the barrier. All of the staff couldn’t have been better, from the moment we entered the venue until we left, one guy in particular (sorry I don’t know their name) was absolutely amazing with her. Constantly checking she was ok and bringing her water and earplugs. Thank you everyone at the Apollo for making my daughters first concert so enjoyable.

I had good memories of this concert venue. It worked great. Sold out concert and long queues. In 15 minutes we were inside. Personnel guided the crowd nicely.

Likewise, exiting was really smooth. We started from the front row and in a couple of minutes we were outside.

Several points to buy a drink. Upstairs not even crowded.

The place is atmospheric. The implementation of the hall for the elderly, but it didn't bother me. I like places like this. Not everything has to be new and fancy.

The artist herself was more to my daughter's taste. I still liked Mitski.

Akon… he himself couldn’t fault. Shame about the venue and everything about the venue. Safety was compromised, no organisation or control. People lifting barriers to push in then creating smaller area for more people to queue. Was unsafe, security would stand and watch as being done! That’s just getting in. Getting out was nothing less than a stampede. Inadequate and unnecessary.

Paid for 4 seats at recent Madison Beer performance as I have rheumatoid arthritis and one of my daughters suffers with anxiety so we can’t stand. From the first song everyone in front of us stood up and completely blocked our view. I expect some standing and dancing at the end but this was from song one. All we could see was someone’s bottom and there wasn’t any need for them to be standing. We were in row j 1-4. One of my daughters and myself probably saw 20% of the show. I asked security if they could tell them to sit down and they said there was nothing they could do. So I paid to sit and look at inconsiderate peoples backs and behinds The people behind me left. We didn’t even get into the venue until 9pm when we were there waiting in the cold and rain from 7pm when the doors should have opened. We go to lots of music event and I have never experienced this before. Lovely building, inconsiderate people and inaffective staff

i saw madison beer's concert on the 2nd of april (amazing show she was great) and booked seats a week before at the front of the circle. after having a smooth journey up and finally getting to our seats, we realise our row is basically empty which was weird. a security guard came over, and asked us to move to our real seats, which we said these were our real seats. he didn't believe us and kept telling us to move, so we showed our tickets and he was confused on why these seats were booked by us. apparently adam sandler and his team booked this whole row, but obviously didn't since we somehow got seats. he leaves and brought over another security guard, who was the most disgusting man i have ever seen. he was screaming in our faces to move out the way and follow him to the hallway. i am a 16 year old boy who is just underweight, and being screamed in my face by a 6 foot man made me feel very threatened and unsafe. he "questioned" us in the hallway in front of everyone walking in which was so embarrasing. he kept screaming in my face for no reason when i was remaining calm and not saying anything at all. after realising he was wrong, he screamed at me and my friend (17yo boy, 5ft 4) to follow him, where he took us back to our seats. i left my coat on the seat so he scrceamed "WHO'S COAT IS THAT, HUH?" and i said "mine, are we allowed to stay in our seats" in which he rolled his eyes and screamed in my face in front of everyone "YES. YOU CAN STAY IN THESE SEATS JUST RELAX" huffed and puffed then left me looking like a complete idiot in front of everyone. this experience had my close to tears because never have i felt like a security guard was gonna fight me.

after the show, everyone started to walk out, then madison came back on for a surprise song and dance, where EVERYONE walked back into the venue and kinda stood around. the same security man came back to just me, no one else standing in the same place, and came to me, grabbed my arm and told me to "MOVE OUT THE WAY" i had literally had enough of him attacking me so i stood there frozen. he then moved right in front of my face and screamed "MOVE DOWNNNN" and didn't yell at anyone else in the same spot, so i moved down and muttered under my breath "can he chill out" and then he had the audacity to get in my face again and scream "WHAT DID YOU SAY, HUH?" what kind of behaviour is that? security guards are supposed to be diffusing fights, not trying to start them. this man, this grown man was trying to start a fight with me, a skinny 16 yr old boy who was trying to enjoy a concert. he yelled at me again with "I SAID WHAT DID YOU SAY" in which i replied "i just said chill out because you are screaming at me" in which he responded with screaming in my face but i didn't hear a word he said. i came out of that concert, again, on the verge of tears. a few adults that witnessed asked if i was okay, and said that would never happen to me if i brought a parent along.

eventim appollo, i think it is disgusting u have a security guard who is trying to pick fights and start scraps with innocent kids who are clearly defensless and can't fight for their life. to scream in someone's face in a tone that's very agressive when i was doing nothing wrong except having the correct seat, and standing where everyone else was standing. i didn't catch this man's name but he was tall, black, bald and had yellow crooked teeth if that helps.

please beware of him parents if your child is going alone to a performance here, because he will find any excuse to make your child feel like crap.

went to see madison on the 2nd of april. the venue is lovely but the security that work here just made the experience not enjoyable. i was accused many times of having the wrong seats when they were obviously the right ones. when the security realised i was right he had a tantrum about it cause he clearly doesn’t like to hear that he’s in the wrong. after the show i was heading out to leave but madison came back on to say goodbye so everyone rushed back up and it was alright for everyone else to but when it was me he had an issue and yelled. so obvious that he was salty about the ticket issue. anyways i had a great night after she came on stage but such a shame that security with child-like minds have to try and ruin the experience. don’t be a security guard at a concert if you’re going to make the concert not enjoyable for people. being a security guard is no excuse to act like this because i’ve been to so many other concerts where the staff and security are so kind.

word of advice don’t get seats in the circle unless you can handle security guards that are arrogant, unnecessarily rude and childish.

So I’d paid for a VIP pass for LP, and about an hour before start I asked security if I could go outside for a smoke. I went out and then walked back in. Suddenly like Gollum a bearded jobsworth calling himself the “head of security” said I wasn’t allowed back in because I used the wrong door. I argued the fact that the staff had let me out but beardy Gollum (sorry head of security) said I was not allowed in to the end. Lost my place at the front however beardy Gollum (15k a year at the most) walked around and impressed the minimal wage staff. Well done sir….. I’ll go on to my swimming pool and you can go off to to use your unkept beard to catch fish under your Gollum rock.
Ps: ask for beardy before going outside for a cigarette

Horrible service. Getting a hold of someone is impossible as there are no phone numbers or direct access of any sort.

We went for the Cliff Richard concert. Both people were disabled and I am the carer. They were made to stand in line and the security would not help them but allowed people in wheelchairs to bypass without an issue. Two people with severe degenerative osteo arthritis in the knees cannot endure standing that long. After the fifth wheelchair I walked to the disable line again and asked to be allowed through and this turned into a back and forth back and forth. On top of that, my tickets would not scan and I asked to speak to the manager. The lady I was speaking with was the manager and she was rude as she could be. Just a terrible, who cares service attitude. I forgot to mention that a week before someone had picked up my tickets and walked away with them so a thief claimed my tickets and I never recieved printed versions as requested.

Good events but absolutely shocking venue - overcrowded outside, poorly organised unsafe queuing, lack of staff, no attempt to improve over time, crowd control non existent. Drinks prices are a rip off - Don't even bother. Venue owners
- start monitoring your reviews learn some lessons and act on the feedback. Went for the Vir Das comedy event. However, have also been two other times in the past year: Legends of Soul & Beanie Man in 2022. Whilst the venue is tolerable once inside, the queuing and entry process is in serious need of overhaul - Slow and unsafe. Queues extend back into residential roads with people walking in the roads due to overcrowding. Feel sorry for the neighbours. We arrived 7pm but the event didn't start until 8.30pm because they couldn't get everyone in quick enough. We left the queue and sat in a restaurant for an hour instead rather than stand in the cold. Not enough scanners, not enough entry points, not enough staff - too slow processing of entry. Unpleasant outdoor queuing experience seems to be getting worse with time. Been to many other venues across London and none have this level of problems getting people in. I'd hate to have to get out of this venue quickly in a fire because the exit/entry points are so poorly designed.

Saw Donny Osmond 14th December -- I love this theatre but as others have mentioned the stewards are awful. They were stopping audience running to the font at the end, something that is NOT requested by Donny`s entourage.
I also saw him n Brighton two days before and there was o such domineering behaviour.
I am a regular concert goer and the nature of the stewards does vary widely.
Also, the lovely new blue velvet seats.. very comfy, however there needs to be a WARNING that they recline sharply into the row behind. I had to get ice from the bar as I was smacked on the nose by the back of the chair in front of me as the person in front got up, and I bent down to pick up my bag.
My bridge of my nose is really sore this morning.
Also £1 surcharge for a plastic glass??? Nowhere else.. make sure you advise and ask people to bring their own

Went to see Australian Pink Floyd - fantastic band and show but the Apollo is appalling. Sold far, far too many tickets, took 1 hour 20 mins to get everyone in. The band had started after 1 hour 10mins so many people were still trying to find their seats in the dark and disturbing the view of the stage constantly. Very many had been sold tickets to stand at the back, and some of them sat on the steps, both of which blocked toilet access and fire escapes. Stewards tried to move people sitting on the steps but when they refused the stewards just gave up. People allowed to leave to buy beer throughout the show and bring it in, so people constantly getting up to let people in and out to the bar and toilets. A number of people were drunk, loud and abusive and this led to quite a few people leaving in disgust just after the interval. If there was an incident or emergency there is no way that people could get out quickly. Somebody needs to take this very seriously before a disaster happens.

Saw The Holiday with live orchestra. The orchestra were amazing. However the staff and stewards ruined it. Over busy, shining torches at anyone that had their phone in their hand as apparently no recording is allowed? Also, one steward leaned over me to tell a girl off for clapping at a certain point in the film? Totally unnecessary. “Stewards” rudely barking at & commanding crowds here and there, very unprofessional! Complete over busy young untrained individuals on a power trip working at this venue. Saying that the bar staff were better. Unfortunate that such a great film accompanied by an amazing orchestra is let down by rude undertrained stewards on a power trip. Shameful!
